    Juicy Tidbits from HBK's Book

Well I took 'worker' as in wrestler, but if we're looking at intangiblesI guess theirs other things to consider. Hogan could have the crowd in the palm of his hands and always had them in his matches. I still find the statement "Hogan was a much better worker than Shawn" a little false just from my personal opinion. If we're talking "working the crowed" Hogan is in an elite category.

Yep, Hogan is a much better worker than Benoit also, and Bret Hart. Cause when he looked at the crowd, they went CRAZY.

Maybe he's just that well respected? Or....maybe he has video footage of them on a cruise getting freaky with hookers that he threatens to send to the wrestlers wives if any of them cross his path?

That's pretty much how I see it. Taker is the most respected veteran and locker room leader, so Vince sits him down in a room and tries to convince him he did it for the company and yadda yadda. Taker, believing it or not, can't really do anything about it and accepts it and moves on. But Shawn is so positive towards Taker in the book, that I have to think they have a good relationship.

    Juicy Tidbits from HBK's Book

Well Shawn doesn't mention dialogue, just that the whole Taker taping up his fists and threatning Shawn thing was a myth. Taker confirming it pretty much hurts Shawns credibility on that, but Shawn says they were closer after their feud.

Taker didn't react in a positive way, but Shawn says that after Vince explained it to Taker he was fine. Being 'cool with it' as in not walking out or leading a locker room rebellion, not as in "haha you guys rule you screwed Bret"!

    Juicy Tidbits from HBK's Book

Exactly. If he prefers to work heel (and without a doubt he's much better at it), then why hasn't he been one for the past few years? Does he say anything about that? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I think he actually says something along the lines of even though he's had the same gimmick the fans have cheered him so consistently since he came back that their hasn't been a need to be heel. It sounds like he wouldn't have a problem with it though.

Nothing really at all about the Rock. A couple of little things on Hogan but didn't ever really slam him or praise him and didn't cover his feud with Hogan.
  9. Sting is one of those guys who really deserves to have a DVD to honor his legacy. To me he pretty much represents WCW even more so than Flair, and though he's never been in WWE I don't think anybody has forgotten him and it would be a hit st. I'd definetly get this immediately. Most of the matches should be before his Crow days, but definetly needs to have alot of focus on the Crow days.

    Favorite Rock Moment

My favorite Rock moment is him throwing Austin off a bridge. He's standing there and suddenly he says "Hold on a second, the Rock smells trailor trash", and suddenly you see Austin's truck come out of nowhere. They fight for a second before Rock hits him with a fishing pole and than gives him one final punch off the bridge. This was of course followed by his hilarious eulogy the next week. I don't know, something about those early Austin/Rock feuds just seemed liked it was the apex of wrestling. The other thing that stands out is when Kane was forced to join the Cooperation and the Rock was just abusing him every week with insults. I remember him standing in the ring dissing other cooperate members and he looks at Kane and says "and look over here, we have a 7-foot idiot, you put his brain in a Perikey and ZING, flies backwards'. Man I can't wait for a true Rock DVD.

    Bret Hart Interview

Huh? Shawn is still doing what he loves to do, has cleaned up, and still main events ton of Raw shows on top of having a beautiful wife. I would say both man are living nice now.

    The Rock Comments on HBK

Then again maybe if they actually sat down they could actually bury the hatchet since he's supposedly a different guy now. Hell a guy like Austin has said that he's cool with HBK now, bit who knows.

    The Rock Comments on HBK

Naw I like has been said he's probably just not a fan personally of HBK. Rock is in a posistion where if he comes back than its going to be to do a program or work with somebody who he really wants to work with. As far as upstaging goes, I'm sure most would agree that HBK is a superior worker. At the same time, their really isn't anybody in wrestling that would upstage the Rock on the mic, especially if Rock is playing heel.

    Bret Hart DVD!

At least it isn't like Shawn or Foleys DVD where the matches are all their really is. The 3 hour main feature has to be considered the big draw on the DVD while the matches are just the extras. The match list is dissapointing but if the main feature is good and covers things like (Bret/Flair, Bret/Shawn), than I'd say it's a nice defenitive DVD. Remember, the Ric Flair DVD was absolutlely great, but they really did leave alot of his feuds and matches off the DVD.

    Mysteries of Wrestling

I saw this at a bookstore and started skimming through it and it was a great read. It's two radio guys interviewing a bunch of people in the buisness on topics like the Klique, and why Austin refused to work with Jeff Jarret. Some of the stories are stuff I've never heard before. Like 'Doink the clown telling the story about how he was riding with the Klique, and their car broke down in the hood and the Klique got out and started signing autographs for everybody. Also they had this great exchange between HHH and George Steel after the Curtain call incident. HHH- Man everyone's really mad, am I in trouble George- Well yeah dummy, you did it. Shawn is the champ and Hall and Nash are leaving, who do you think their going to take it out on? HHH- Are they going to fire me? George notes that HHH doesn't have to worry about job security now that he's bangin Steph. Also, Austin refused to work with Jarret because he didn't like how Jarret hit the ropes? WTF? Anyways, interesting book.

    Rock at WM question

From what perspectice? HBK and Bret are both better wrestlers than Hogan and in the same league with Austin. Promowise, I take Rock over all of them. Drawing wise, nobody is close but Rock is a bigger mainstream star than Austin has ever been. And from 99 on you have to give Rock tons of credit for WWE's continued success through 2000. I guess I see what you mean. Austin and Hogan are the biggest 'wrestling' stars of all time.

    The O.C.

Dawson's Creek was absolutely horrible it's last 3 seasons. It's first 2 seasons were great and the 2nd half of season 3 was amazing. Smallville is much more interesting than OC and has a much better cast.

    The O.C.

I guess you would of preferred me to say "OC rocks! hell yeah!" I'm sorry but theirs some serious issues if a guy says OC is one of the greatest shows ever and people actually agree with that. It is not even the best teen show ever. The 2nd season was worse than the 1rst.

    Rock at WM question

I just don't think HBK has a shot if it's a mic war, its going to make him look way too ordinary.

    Best Austin/Rock Wrestlemania Match?

For a group that was supposed to be called the "Cooperation", some of them really didn't "cooperate" too well with each other. Like The Rock and The Big Show, for example. Just kidding. I knew what you meant, Shanghai. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> O damn didn't even see that, good looking.
  22. Shanghai Kid

    The O.C.

You've got to be kidding me. Theirs nothing groundbreaking about the writing in OC season 1. And their's nothing that puts it on the level of shows like Seinfield, the Simpsons, BTVS, Sopranos, Six Feet Under, Entourage, Rescue Me, Nip Tuck, and if you want to go old school theirs at least a 100 shows better than the OC. OC has 3 interesting characters and 4 decent actors, it has nowhere near the quality ensamble cast that's going to make it memorable. Oh and for the genre? Freaks and Geeks season 1> OC season 1 Dawson's Creek seasons 1/3>> OC season 1 Smallville season 3 (if you want to count it)>> OC season 1 Beverly Hills 90210 seasons 2/3>> OC season 1 My So Called Life every season> OC season 1

    Rock at WM question

Austin/Hogan and Rock/HBK double main event may get the biggest buyrate ever. I don't think the actual feuds would be 'that' interesting. Austin/Hogan would be good but as someone said Hogan probably has the control to veto any possible job, and why should Austin have to lose to Hogan? Rock would murder HBK on the mic. I'm an HBK fan but that feud would be totally lopsided. It would be the exact same thing as the Hogan situation where they suddenly have to turn HBK heel out of nowhere and probably have him use the same "Hollywood" argument. The only difference is the 'shoot' comments wouldn't work against the Rock who would probably start mocking HBK's poses and shoot on his past. I can just imagine the feud being predictable enough to start with HBK saying he respects Rock and thansuperkicking him. I wouldn't mind Rock/Cena though. The current 'cool' character vs the 'cool' character of yesteryear.

    Best Austin/Rock Wrestlemania Match?

I think some are selling WM-15 short. Most people thought that was truly a classic match until WM 17 came along and topped it. From a storyline perspective, I honestly can't believe people are forgetting how big the Corperation was. WM15 was basically the climax of the Austin vs Corperation feud. And somebody saying the Rock wasn't on Austins level at the time, are you kidding me? Rock/Mankind was 'THE' Championship feud of the Attitude era. 4 straight PPV matches, the title had SO much credibility going into WM15 because the Rock basically had gone to war with Foley and Foley had helped get him more over than ever. And promo wise Rock was just a beast. The Backlash match was great cause Rock was basically a face by than. I thought the ending hurt WM17 for one big reason, the match was in Texas. I would of loved that ending anywhere else cause it seemed like the idea was for the crowd to get behind the Rock. But you can't do a heel turn with Austin in Texas. I would of loved just a clean ending and do a heel turn the next night. And it took away from it being an epic face match since it was in Austins backyard. Remember the 6 man Hell in a Cell match where Austin/Rock finally fight at the end of the match? THAT was the kind of reaction I would of loved to see at Wrestlemania. WM19 was sort of like Sting/Flair from the last Nitro. Basically just a way to finish the legacy. I actually never thought Rock/Austin had a match where they were both at the top of their games. We never really saw the epic face encounter that we could of. The time for it would of been WM 2000 but of course Austin was injured. If you remember the Raw from the night after the October 99 ppv, when Rock and Austin are standing in the ring, the crowd reaction was so split and that probably gave you even more goosebumps than when Rock/Hogan were in the ring that first time. That would of been even more special..
  25. Those are all very arguable, some it seems like you just put a Bret Hart match there. Bret vs Hening from KOTR was good, but I have never seen it put in as high regard as HBK/Jannetty. Bret vs Owen is a classic, and it's always been debated on which is the best match of WM 10. Diesel vs Bret, I like Bret Hart but I would take HBK/Jarret over that any day of the week. This just seems like a random pick in order to not have an HBK match on there. Bret vs Austin from 96- Great match, lot of people are extremely high on it, and I agree that it was the best match of 96. Even though I agree, I think it's arguable that HBK/Mankind and HBK/Bret Hart were both on that level. Foley thinks that's the best match of his career, and Bret thinks its the best match of his career. Funny that guys think the best matches of their career are with HBK. Bret vs Austin from 97- It's clearly between this and HBK/Undertaker. But you'd be biased if you said that everybody would take Bret/Austin. Both matches were groundbreaking. 04- Eddie vs JBL? I don't think so. It's arguable though. 05- I would take both HBK/Angle and HBK/Benjammin over Rey/Angle.'
