Man, I don't see how this makes Boston a better team. Antoine might jack up a lot of 3's, but he still puts up the stats. Pierce might lead the league in scoring now...
-
HBK sucks as a face, he seriously needs to go heel.
-
Ugh....WTF was the Lil John thing about? More random stuff?

That was the funniest segment ever. I loved Shane's reaction after it all happened. He had that look like he was trying to be tough but was really scared shitless on the inside.

Stacy is just too damn skinny, if she was as thick as Trish she would be nice. Makeup or not, Trish has a better body, sexier voice, and is probably smarter and less annoying.
-
Maybe I'm just in love with Trish because she's a big sports fan and loves Burgers and Fries. That kind of down to earthness mixed with her looks just makes her the perfect girl in my eyes.
-
Victoria is hot in a psyco bitch type of way, but in no way is she hotter than Trish.
-
It was good, better than Reservoir Dogs, but not as good as Pulp Fiction IMO.
-
Heh, Trish looks good to me in any light.

Ripper, I understand your rebuttle, but I'm not understanding your point. Chris Whitney hasn't gotten many minutes in the last year, so when he comes off the bench it's usually probably just to shoot a 3-pointer. I'm judging him from the 00-01 season where Whitney was a full time starter for the Wizards. That year he was 4th in assists to turnover ratio and did a good job of running the team. On Steve Blake, no he wasn't shy shooting the ball in Maryland, he loved taking the clutch shots. But in the first 3 quarters of the game, he almost ALWAYS looks to distribute the ball to his teammates. Hey maybe I'm wrong, but I think any Maryland fan would tell you that Blake is pass first, think about shooting later. Certainly theirs no evidence of him being more of a scoring point than a pure point. Jared Jeffries, we'll have to see what happens. How many Wizards games did you see last year? Juan Dixon can do nothing except shoot. Even then, he's streaky, very streaky. But so is Arenas right? Well, what I'm getting from your post is that you seem to think Juan is a better player than Arenas? Juan couldn't even get off the bench last year, Arenas is a top 10 PG in the league. And maybe Arenas had more turnovers because he averaged 25 more minutes per game? Hmm.... How is Steve Francis the only player out there that can be considered a point? He's just as big a ballhog as the others, and doesn't even get Yao the ball. Nick Van Exel has never ran a team...hmm how about when he was in Denver and averaged 9 assists a game? Gilbert is a 2 guard converted to point. No, it doesn't just take 18 points to be considered a great player. But 18 points, 6 assists, and 4 rebounds at the age of 21 in his first year as a starter is impressive is it not? Nobody is saying he's an all-star right now, but he has a great work ethic and is likely to improve a hell of a lot during the next few years. And yes, Larry Hughes will share the ball handling duties at the 2, sort of like how Malbury and Penny do in Pheonix. And yes, of course preseason does determine just how good of a player is. Iverson shooting 2-10, Vince Carter shooting 4-15, Tmac 2-11, Stackhouse 1-9.....ya those are all horrible players judging from their preseason performance. But J.R Bremer, with the numbers he put up he's going to lead the league in scoring one of these days... I never said everyone has amazing abilities on the team. What I said is that they can make the playoffs as an 8th seed. They have a new coach, a new offensive system, and they've gotten rid of Old Man Jordan which is addition by subtraction. I'm not a homer saying that their going to win the East, but they can compete for and make the playoffs. Yes Jerry Stackhouse is the only player to have made the playoffs, but you don't acknowledge the fact that most the players on the team are very young and in their 1rst, 2nd, or 3rd year.

Steve Nash is a scoring pg IMO. From the Dallas games I've seen, he doesn't mind looking for his own shot, whether it's pulling up for a 3 or taking it to the hoop. I think most of his assists just come from passing it to Dirk, who always shoots and never passes.
-
I know Ripper said scoring pg's aren't bad, but he's making it sound like a team can't win games with a scoring point, or that scoring points can't run a team. That's not even a big deal, but Blake will never be a scoring PG.
-
Ripper, your a fool. You keep amazing me by arguing without knowing absolutely nothing on the subject. I've never heard anybody in the NBA call Chris Whitney a shoot first point guard. In the last 10 years nobody has ever associated him with being shoot first. Just because he's a great 3-point shooter, you somehow think he likes to bomb 3's. Go back and watch a game instead of talking out of your ass, Whitney only shoots when he's completely wide open. Yes, I know I've seen Steve Blake play, but I don't think you have, especially since you keep insinuating that Blake is a shoot first pg. Blake is 4th all time in assists in the ACC. His highest scoring average I believe is 11pg, and he's never had lower than 7 assists per game in a season. Check out his www.nbadraft.net profile where they compare him to John Stocton. Blake was also second in assists in the summer league. And maybe your underestimating Jeffries, who was a lottery pick two years ago, who Larry Brown said he would of "taken at #1", who Jerry West called the "steal of the draft". I'm not overestimating Gilbert Arenas. In his first full year as a starter he put up 18 ppg, 6 assists, 4 rebounds. He's improved more over the summer, gained more muscle, and is still lightning quick with the ball. In fact, last year Pat Riley said he thinks Gilbert is the fastest player with the ball in his hands. Comparing Gilbert to Juan is the stupidest comparison I have heard. Juan is a SG who doesn't even attempt to become a PG. He's a streaky shooter with absolutely no handles. Gilbert is superior to Juan, hell Steve Blake is superior to Juan. Half the point guards in the league are scoring guards. Steve Francis, Chauncey Billups, Troy Hudson, Nick Van Exel, are all you calling all these players bad? Seriously, get some knowledge.
-
Anyone that says Steve Blake is not a pure pg is a complete moron. Have you ever seen him play? He was the best passer in last years draft bar none. And Chris Whitney isn't a pure PG? Two years ago he started for the Wizards and was 4th in the league in assists to turnover ratio. And Arenas getting benched for Boykins is just a fable, most of the time Boykins came in the game for J-Rich and Arenas moved to the 2. And Stack is a good passer when he committs to it, he lead the Wiz in assists last year. Arenas is a great player, great pg or not, he's a great player. Larry Hughes has bulked up over the summer and is looking great at SG. And Kwame is 7'0 260 now making him one of the biggest PF's in the league. The Wizards are solid at 1, 2, 3, and if they can just get any production out of their big man, they can make the playoffs. You left out Jared Jeffries in your depth chart, you know the 6'11 guy who can play 4 posistions, the guy who can handle the ball like a point guard and pass it ala Lamar Odom. He's going to be a big part of the Wizards this year. The fact that most of our 2 guards can play point is more of an advantage. Ripper, you know absolutely nothing about the Wizards.
-
People are definetly sleeping on the Wizards this year. You can talk about guards all you want, but this is Kwame's year. And Arenas is a beast, I don't know what your talking about.
-
Well, whether they win or lose, the Skins don't quit, all their games have been 2-3 points apart. If Ramsey hadn't overthrown Coles, who knew what would of happened...just part of his growing pains I guess.
-
Don't worry, Redskins have started out slow and fell behind in 3 out of their 4 games.

What an Interception that was by Smoot.

That was an awesome clothsine.

HHH v. Steve Austin - No Way Out 2001?
Shanghai Kid replied to Nevermortal's topic in The WWE Folder
Is any of the sudden "this match is overrated" thing coming from HHH hate? Even if it is, I have to agree that the match doesn't have the same impact it did the first time you watch it. The first time, your stunned cause after you Austin wins the first fall you figure he's going to win the match, than boom, HHH wins twice....this was back in the day, you know, when the Internet loved HHH and Austin. How the mountains have fell. -
After smoking the 49'ers for 3 Tds and 172 yards, did anyones opinion on the best reciever in the NFL change? It was hyped up all week, as Moss vs Owens, in their first ever encounter, but who knew it would be so one sided? Moss had one of the best games of his career, and TO not only had a horrible game, but by the end of it he wasn't even 'trying'. Who is better in your mind?
-
Denver is playing without Portis though, so a win would be impressive either way.
-
I don't know what age Coles is, but he's definetly going to be an 'elite' reciever if he isn't already one.
-
Actually I think Moss has had the better stats during the last 4 seasons, but I'll have to look that up. Also, think about this, Moss has been consistent through a few QB's. He had an old Randel Cunningham, Jeff George, a rookie Dante, and now Gus Ferotte, and he still gets the good stats no matter who the QB is.
