It's not always a damn carry

Whoa Humongo, come into the forum and make up lies? I've been here for a while, and I don't lie. Your right, wrestling is all about personal preference, but their also is something called the GENERAL CONSENSUS. And that always wins in the house. In this case, I went back and looked at Scott Keiths rants and even HE agreed with me on the RVD/Lynn matches even pointing out exactly when RVD got blown up. Where's my boy Optimus Schwab when you need him. He would of came here in crushed everything. As far as HBK goes, he might be a little overrated in general, but damn sure not on this board. Everybody would rather piss on him cause of backstage bullshit.

Ok, I'm sorry, we'll say monthly basis. Ravishing, you need to go watch the RVD/Lynn series again. All RVD does is stall, spot, rest, stall, spot, rest, stall. Lynn walks him through all the pin reversal sequences. RVD= Most overrated wrestler ever. HBK= One of the best American workers of the 90's.

It's not always a damn carry

It's a retarded argument, 95% of the IWC will tell you that HBK is 10x whatever RVD is. RVD has more stamina? He was blown up in all those matches with Lynn. RVD more athletic? Questionable. Bumps better? I don't think so. And last but not least, RVD has never carried anybody to a good match like HBK did on a daily basis.

    Freddy vs. Jason

It is accepted, but the Ice Cream man thing is just another theory brought up from Freddys Nightmares.

    Elm Street: The First Murders...

No chance they could get away with showing innocent children being hacked and burned. Too much backlash there, and Freddy fans wouldn't like it. If they do this movie, it should be after they're completely done using the Freddy character.

    Freddy vs. Jason

New Nightmare was good, but it just didn't connect with Freddy fans.

    Freddy vs. Jason

Being a hardcore Nightmare and Friday fan, I'm about to give the complete history on both characters and the films. CONTAINS MAJOR SPOILERS Freddy Kreuger: Freddy Kreuger was the offspring of a gang rape to his mother. The son of a hundred thousand bastard maniacs. He had a tormented childhood full of being made fun of, and his father used to abuse him. One day his father tried to abuse him, and Fred just took it and smiled, and proceed to kill him. Freddy got married and had a daughter. A theory based on Freddys Nightmares has Freddy being an Ice Cream Man, using that as a lure to kidnap kids and kill them. He got caught, went to jail, and his lawyer got him off at the trial. Somewhere in here they take away his daughter. So the parents take it in their own hands to burn him alive, and they do. But wait, the dream demons are in luck cause they've found the most sadistic guy in the world, perfect for the job of killing people in their dreams. They offer Fred the power, he accepts, and boom, you got Freddy Kreuger. His motive is that he wants to hurt the children of the parents who burned him. Later his big motive is explained to be that he wants to make them pay for taking away his daughter. NOES 1- You have to imagine that Freddy is new on the job, so he's not in one liner mode yet. He's just getting comfortable, and taking his new found power more seriously. In this movie, Fred kills a couple teenagers who have sex, and than finds his first real nemesis in Nancy. Nancy figures out the source of Freddys Power, and realizes that all you have to do is bring him out of the dream into the real word, and than he's human. So she does, but things go wrong. Some ancient book says that demons back in the day got their power from fear, and that if you stopped believing in them, they'll go away. She does that with Freddy, who dissapears. The next morning she's about to go to school when some weird shit happens and Freddy kills her mother. A theory on this is that the whole movie was just a dream by Nancy, sort of like a big premonition, and the very end is the only real thing that happened. Who knows though. NEO2- This movie sucks. It's a couple of years later, and a new kid moves into Nancys old house. He finds her diary, reads about her troubles, and than some weird shit begins to happen. Freddy has some elaborate plan to get into this kids body and use it to kill in the outside world. The plot is stupid though, and doesn't fit in with the rest of the series. Not to mention the lead character is very gay. The ending is cool though, as Freddy reveals that he's still ticking. NEO3- The 2nd best in the series behind the first. Kids who have been having trouble with a certain killer are all in a hospital full of doctors who can't figure out whats happening. They figure the only way to cure the kids is to make them go to sleep and face their dreams. The kids are called dream warriors, which happens to be the name of the movie. This movie intoduces the plot that someone call pull another person into their dreams. This is the same hospital from FVJ, so it ties in pretty well. Freddy has killed a bunch of teens at this point, and is really starting to love his job. Instead of taking things serious, he does elaborate dream sequences to kill his victims. He also reveals one of the greatest one liners in the series "Welcome to Primetime bitch". He's still dark and evil, just having fun now. This movie marks the return of Nancy, who comes to the hospital to help, and her father from the first one. Somehow they figure if they bury the bones of Freddy, he'll just die. So they do it, and hey, they think he dies. The kids are all decent actors, including Patricia Arquette, and Lawrence Fisbourn has a small role. Good overall movie, and Nancy bites the bullet in the end. NOES 4- The Dream master stars the 3 survivors from the last one, but they're all killed off in the first 15 minutes, bummer. Freddy is ressurected when a dog pisses on his grave...you read that right. Freddy, absolutely loving his job now, plays with his victoms. He knows his true invincibility, and knows he can't be beat, so he conjures up more elaborate dream sequences to kill his prey. One particalar funny sequences is with this guy who's into Karate, Freddy takes care of him good. Freddys mom appears in this one also, as she did in part 3, giving tips to the heroin and so forth. The lead character is now Alice, and someway or another, Freddy bites the bullet in the end again. Not as good as 3, but good non the less. NOES 5- This movie sucks too. Alice returns, pregnant. Problem is, she keeps seeing her child in her dreams. Freddy has become friends with her child in her dreams, who is named Jacob. Jacob in the dreams trust Freddy, and Freddy treats him like a little brother. In full comedy mode, Freddy kills Alice new friends in true comic book ways. Another funny ass one liner is when he makes this bulemic chick eat all this food until she explodes. He than says "Bon Appetite Bitch"! At the end, Jacob turns on Freddy, goes with his mother. And Freds mother tries to get rid of Freddy for good only to have Freddy burst from her stomache. NOES 6- All the kids in Elm Street have been wiped out, so it would seem Freddys job is done. He's gotten his revenge, and now he can just go away....but Freddy has other plans. Theirs actually one survivor left on Elm Street. An unnamed guy, who in the original script, is actually Jacob from the 5th one. So Jacob is the only teenager left, and he has amnesia. A shelter some place else finds him and a girl tries to help him figure out his past. They go back to Elm Street, with a couple of troubled kids hiding in the back. The kids, being the smart ones, find a house on Elm Street to stay in while the girl and Jacob got try to find Jacobs roots. This movie makes no attempts at horror, Freddy is the hero now, he spits one liners left and right, and laughs hysterically at the way he disposes of his victims. If you love funny Freddy, this is the movie for you. He kills Jacob, right before thanking him for bringing him his daughter! It all comes full circle as Freddy finds out that his daughter is the only person who can bring him what he wants. As Freddy says "Every town has an Elm Street"! He now has the abilities to make an Elm Street wherever he wants, and kill whatever teenagers he wants. At first, it was all about revenge, but Freddy loves killing teens so much that he can't stop. Freddys daughter brings him into the real world ala Nancy, and blows him up with Dynamite. At this point, the Dream Demons temporary leave Freddy who ends up in his own Hell. This leads into Freddy pulling down Jasons mask in Jason Goes to hell. New Nightmare: Not a member of the rest of the series. You have to ignore it for FVJ to make sense. Now all that was off the top of my head, but I can tell you I'm a much bigger Jason fan. I'll do my F13th write up in a little while, and THAT will tell you everything in the history of Jason Vorhees.

It's not always a damn carry

HBK could carry anything back in the day, Nash, Sid, Bulldog. Most of RVDs 'good' matches in ECW were just spotfests. No transistions, no psycology, just spot, rest, spot, rest, spot, rest. The series with Jerry Lynn is overrated, not too mention RVD was winded about 10 minutes into the matches leaving Lynn to 'carry' and do the work. If spotfests are your cup of tea, than you'll enjoy those, but their not good matches if your rating them on the star scale.

    Freddy vs. Jason

I don't know if I posted this ealier, but even critics who hated the film are saying that Kelly Rowland and the Stoner dude had standout performances... About Jason, I'm pretty sure he's only afraid of water on his dreams. In real life, he's on a mission to kill, he's not going to let his own fear get in the way of slicing up a teenager. The Friday the 13th movies I'd reccomend are: 1-4: It's like a whole different series in itself. The movies weren't jokes yet, and actually took themselves seriously. 6-7: The emergence of Zombie Jason. These movies are pure fun. The best Nightmare movies are 1 and 3.

It's not always a damn carry

This thread has like 20 different subjects going on right now, I'll just give my opinions on a few of them. I, too, hate that some of us just assume a match is going to be a carry job because a smark darling is involved. Not everything with Benoit, Angle, and Bret are carry jobs. Bret vs Bulldog WAS a carry job. Watch the match, Bret did everything. A carry job is hard to define, but I think Ric Flair created the common carry job of bumping your ass off and making your opponent look good. HBK also perfected it. HBK and Flair really could carry a box of crackers to a 3 star match in their prime. If bumps can be used to define workrate, than me thinks Trish is better than half the Raw roster. Carrying is not a term that should be thrown around so easily. I mean if we're going to say that someone got carried, than you gotta think not many people can do it. Angle seems to be overrated, but remember HHH in late 2000-early 2001? The guy became the most overrated wrestler ever after his matches with Foley. Now even if HHH puts on a good match, some of us can't accept it. Obviously the IWC has a big double standard filled bias that doesn't really get addressed much. Just read a whole Raw thread and see how everyone already has this pre-determined attitude. I'm not a smark, but I understand the term. Wrestling is entertainment for some, and for others, it's something to be overanalyzed. Some people try to enjoy the show, and others don't like it because their favorite wrestlers aren't getting pushed. Their favorite wrestlers are still getting paid, and still get to be on TV, but their not main eventing, so damn the whole show. I never really bought the whole burying thing. Usually if a wrestler really proves to be so popular than he's pushed. Look at Eddie, once he started getting the pops the news popped up of him winning the title. HHH holds everybody down...ok. Booker T was not over enough to win the belt at Wrestlemania, niether was Kane, and RVD would of probably sunk the ratings. Speaking of which, if we're all about good wrestling and talent getting pushed, why is everybody on RVD's nuts? He's not a good wrestler at all. He's the biggest exception/double standard of the IWC, a wrestler that isn't great in the ring, but still gets the IWC support. Ah well, just another day in the lives of TSM.

With 13 million on Friday, FVJ could be headed to a HOLY SHIT 40 MILLION Weekend. Sequels? You bet ya!

The best part of Raw tonight-MOLLY~!

It depends on what your looking for in womens wrestling. Trish can do some cool spots, she sells well, she bumps her ass off, I'd say she's above average and probably the second best on the roster. Mollys good for submission moves, and stiff wrestling, but Trish takes more bumps than mostly everybody on Raw. The reason she blew that spot last night was because she was doing everything in the beginning of the match, all the offense, and it wasn't any worse than Jericho and RVD's blown spot.

The best part of Raw tonight-MOLLY~!

Molly is a great wrestler, no doubt, but her looks aren't really worth a thread. She's average, and theirs nothing wrong with that. She has a good looking face, and an average body. Looks wise, it's not fair to compare her to Stacy. I mean Stacy is a KNOCK OUT. Same thing with Trish, their both in a league of their own. Stacy has those legs, and Trish is just great all around. Molly is average, You'd be hard pressed to find guys talking about how great Molly looked on Raw last night. She might be the smarks favorite female wrestler, but taking her over Stacy or Trish seems a little out there. Mollys a girl we could aim to get, and the other two are girls we could dream of get. In conclusion, Molly= Great wrestler, average every day looks. Stacy- Bad wrestler, good looks. Trish- Good wrestler, good looks. We have a winner.
