Nash is gone!
-
I guess you didn't detect the sarcasm.
-
Oh no, not a heel vs heel encounter.
-
Well the Rockers were a deadly team
-
Wow, Jericho got the weakest pop.
-
Figures, put the two best workers in there.
-
Hopefully they won't get eliminated in the order of their entrances.
-
I think if you take away the finish from Austin/Bret, it's not as good.
-
I would think Scott Kieth would know what makes a good match (he's wrote a few books), and he ranked the ladder match over Bret/Owen.
-
It's all about opinion. Personally, I think Shawn has a very good catalogue of matches, maybe one of the best in WWF history. here's some of Shawns decent to good matches. Shawn vs Tito Santana Shawn vs Jeff Jarret Shawn vs Marty Jannety (Raw) Shawn vs Bret Hart (Survivor Series 92) Shawn Micheals vs Razor Ramon (ladder match) Shawn Micheals vs Razor Ramon (rematch) Shawn Micheals/Diesel vs Razor/1-2-3 Kid (Action Zone) Shawn vs Diesel (Wrestlemania) Shawn vs Diesel (Good Friends Better Enemies) Shawn Micheals vs Bulldog Shawn vs Bulldog Shawn Micheals vs Ric Flair Shawn Micheals vs Macho Man Shawn vs Vader Shawn vs Mankind Shawn vs Sid Shawn vs Sid Shawn vs Bret Hart Shawn vs Bret Hart Shawn vs Bret Hart Shawn vs Austin Shawn vs Austin Shawn vs Austin Shawn vs Undertaker Shawn vs Undertaker Shawn vs Undertaker Shawn vs Mankind Shawn vs Owen Hart Shawn vs Owen Hart Shawn vs HHH Shawn vs Jericho Shawn vs Jericho Those are just off the top of my head, and don't even include his matches as a Rocker.
-
You guys gotta be loving the fact that RVD has the second to last match on a joint ppv. These last two spots are usually reserved for title matches and main event contenders.
-
Them Mcmahons certainly like to take sick bumps.
-
You know what would make Angle more over? If he grew out his hair.
-
Blown spot! Angle is God!
-
It's all 'opinion' on which matches are better when your rating good matches. Bret/Owen was good, but some would say that HBK/Razor was better. Austin/Bret in 96 was good, but some might say that HBK/Mankind was just as good if not better. Austin/Bret 97 was good, but once again, some might say that Hell in a Cell was better. Nobody can really say that their opinion is fact, all I know is that the matches were voted on by the people, and that's what the majority voted.
-
This is the only board I know where people think Shawn is overrated. I mean sure, he wasn't one of the best of all time, but he's done enough to be in the Hall of Fame. You gotta remember, he didn't have the best workers in the federation to work with back in his day. He didn't have the likes of Eddie, Benoit, Jericho, Angle to work with. He had guys like Sid, Diesel, Razor, Marty, and he made them look good. He did the have the voted match of the year for 93-97, something Bret never did. Was Shawn just a bumping machine? That was most of his thing, but I thought he put on a really good match with Jeff Jarret. From an entertainment and accomplishments level, he definetly deserves it. The article clearly shows that although he might not of always done what was right for the company, no one in the buisness was questioning his workrate, just some smarks who don't like him. As for the backstage stuff, I guess it comes down to whether or not you think Pete Rose should be in the hall of fame.

I was just flipping channels last night, and caught this show. Wow. I thought I was watching HBO. This show pushes the limits of basic cable. We're talking about graphic violence, sex, drugs, cussing left and right, and great acting to boot. The lead character kind of reminds me of the lead character in American Psyco. Anyways, this is a fun show, anyone seen it?
-
I'm saying though, whats wrong with them putting photo shoots, gravy bowl matches, and bra and panties matches? That's what the casual fans want to see, they could care less about a Molly/Trish match that stole the show. They want skin, and I don't mind it so much either. I'm sure that Sable unleashed video sold like hotcakes, same thing with the Diva specials.

Nash's Movie,Scott Hall and Booker T
Shanghai Kid replied to SpikeFayeJettEdBebop's topic in The WWE Folder
Another example of a moron taking smark stuff too far. So because you don't like Nash, and he has a cameo, your not going to see a movie that YOU were actually looking forward too? What the f***.... -
Hey I'll buy it, I'm not with the whole smark sentiment of "their has to be great matches on it for me to buy it". You guys are underestimating this, she's hot, and she has fans across the world. Sunny, Chyna, Sable, Lita, they all got thier own videos, why wouldn't Trish? I mean some of you sound like your pitching for the wrong team with the whole "Trish sucks, bring on Eddie" and the "Give me Molly over Stacy and Trish anyday" attitudes. I thought smarks were Pro-Canada? I would of figured you would of been on her like a smark glued to Benoits nuts. BTW, I remember hearing that Trish was in medical school about to become a foot doctor, so she's definetly pretty smart.
-
Well Scott Kieth gave it ****, he must know a thing or two...wrote a few books here and there. Man, how the f*** did HBK become so unpopular around here that everything he's ever done is undermined and hated? The guy is a good wrestler, he had the American match of the year for 4 straight years 93-97. He gives the fans matches that the fans can enjoy, and that semi-please most smarks who don't let their hate blind thier view.

Jason Vorhees, was born by Elias and Pamela Vorhees June 13th 1946. Elias and Pamela didn't get along, and Elias had a whole seperate family. So mainly Pamela took care of Jason. Jason was a slow kid, slow in the mind that is. In the summer of 1957 his mother sent him to Camp Crystal Lake, perhaps so he can meet people and have friends. Now supposedely he drowned there when a couple camp counselors having sex weren't paying attention. His body was never found though, so a couple of theories emerged on what actually happened. One theory is that Jason never drowned, he just went unconscience in the lake until he just washed ashore on the other side of the lake, where he ran in the woods and lived there for a long while. Why wouldn't he go back to his mother? Perhaps he was ashmed of his own deformities. Or maybe he was mad at his mother for letting him almost die there. The most common reason is that Jason got lost on the other side of the lake. He went in the woods, and simply couldn't find his way back. The water thing did something to him though, it gave him extra rejuvinating abilities. Now another theory is that Jason did drown, and Elias ressurected him using the Necromican (book from the Evil Dead series) which was found at the Vorhees house in Jason Goes to Hell. Still, we'll go with the first theory, because thats more of the general consensus. So Jason, in the woods, learns to hunt and kill food. He builds his own shack where he lives, and basically is doing just fine by himself. In the back of his head he keeps hearing these voices though, these voices that are telling him to kill, but Jason doesn't yet listen to the voices. So Jason grows up, and one day gets curious and travels back to the otherside of the lake....meanwhile....one year after Jason 'drowned' two camp counselors were mysteriously murdered. In 1961, they try to reopen Crystal Lake, but an unknown aresonist (Pamela) tries to burn it down. They try it again, but it's closed down after reports of 'poisoned' water. When all hope seems lost for Crystal Lake.... Friday the 13th 1: A guy named Steve Christy spends 25,000$ to reopen Crystal Lake. Him and his counselors report there on a Friday the 13th, and most of them are killed mysteriously. Only one survivor, named Alice survives an encounter with the murderer, who to no surprise turns out to be Pamela Vorhees. Alice decapitates Pamela, and guess who sees it? Jason. Jason, finally coming back into existence, sees his mother decapitated. The voices are too loud now, and rage takes over his body. He has one mission now, to kill anyone who comes to this lake, and to avenge his mother. Also, maybe to stop another kid from almost drowning. This movie is somewhat a classic, and Kevin Bacon makes his debut and gets gutted. Friday the 13th 2- A few months later, Jason catches up to Alice and sticks an Icepick in her throat. Jason, now wearing a Sack over his head, patrols the woods, making sure no one is there. He finds a girl named Chris sitting there, and attempts to rape her, but she gets away. In 1984, they try to reopen the lake again, only for Jason to kill almost everybody, except Ginny who pretends to be his mother and gets away. A decent sequel. Friday the 13th part 3- Chris comes back to the lake with her friends, trying to face her past. Jason kills her friends, one of them was wearing a hockey mask, and Jason puts it on after killing him. This is the birth of the hockey mask, as he never lets it go. A good movie this was, shot in 3d, some of the kills look overy ridiculas. But theirs a few sympathetic characters, and a couple you just want to die (Rick). At the end of this movie, Chris puts an Axe in Jasons head. Jason has never felt anything like that before, so he lays dead on the ground as Chris ends up insane. Friday the 13th part 4- The final chapter- An amublance comes and takes Jason to the hospital. But he shows off his rejuvinating abilities and kills a few hospital guys before returning to his stomping grounds. Tommy Jarvi, a little kid, lives there with his sister and his mother, and a couple of people are renting out the house next door. Jason kills most of them, including a young Crispin Glover, and than gets hacked to death by Tommy, who shaves his head in order to look like a young Jason and confuse him. This is the first time that Jason 'really' dies. His rejuvinating abilities don't work this time, he stays dead. This closes out the first half of the series, 1-4. Their the best cause they have character development and are somewhat scary. In these movies, Jason runs after his victoms, feels pain, and is just a retarded, excited freak. Friday the 13th part 5- Tommy is in a mental institution, being haunted by Jason. Murders start up again, but in the end it's just a copycat killer named Roy. The end is a tease as Tommy puts on the mask and hints at being the new Jason. Worst movie in the series. Part 6 Jason Lives- Tommy has to know that Jason is dead, so he goes to his grave to dig him up. Lightning strikes the grave, and Jason awakes. This is a new Jason, Zombie Jason. He walks slow, doesn't feel pain, and is just an evil motherfucker. Jason Lives is the best sequel in the series, it's funny, it's scary, and this is where we start to root for Jason. At the end, Tommy ties Jason to a rock at the bottom of the lake, as he figures the only way to beat him is to put him back in his original resting place. In this movie, Jason is clearly not afraid of water. Part 7- Jason gets ressurected again by a telekenetic girl who thinks shes bringing her father back to life. It seems that everytime Jason gets ressurected, he gets stronger. In this one, his bones hang out, and he's in FULL zombie mode. He's just unstoppable. The last 15 minutes are sort of like Freddy vs Jason as this girl kicks Jasons ass supernaturally. Jason ends up at the bottom of the lake again. Good entry. Part 8 Jason Takes Manhatten- Stupid movie, makes no sense. Jason is ressurected by another bolt of lightning, and he jumps on a boat going to Manhatten in order to kill a few teenagers. No explanation is given as to why he would do this, we just figure he's bored. At this point, Jason is a legend in the town. Teenagers going to Crystal Lake all know he's out there, and the dumbasses STILL go! Jason gets to Manhatten only in the last 15 minutes of the movie, and has a cool boxing match with a black guy. Jason actually has teleporting abilities in this movie, a side effect of his ressurection maybe, he can transport from one spot to another easily. At the end of the movie, Jason drowns in a sewer where he goes back to his child self, that's just a vision by the heroin. It's an ok movie if your looking for a Jason to make fun off. This was the first Jason movie to bomb at the box office. After this Paramount sold the rights to Newline, who wanted to get Freddy vs Jason going. Keep in mind this was like 15 years ago. The main characters of part 8 inform the Police of Jason being in the sewer of New York. So they go and check it out, only to find out he's not there. Where could he be? History tells us he's gone back to Crystal Lake, so the FBI plans a sting operation to finally take Jason down. Part 9 Jason Goes to Hell- The FBI blow Jason up, but some doctor eats his heart. Jasons barely in this movie as his soul travels into different bodies. Elias Vorhees daughter, gets killed, but she had a daughter. It seems that only a Jason family member can stop him with this special knife. So she stabs him with the knife, and Jason dies, getting sent to hell. At the end of the movie, Freddys claw comes up from the ground and brings Jasons mask down. This was supposed to lead into FVJ, but 10 years or rewrites later, it finally happens. 2003: Freddy vs Jason takes place. 2008: Jason is finally captured, he's tried for murder, and convicted of death, but how can you kill this monster? So a certain party says to freeze him, and another party says to study and research him for his rejuvinating abilities. Crystal Lake research facility is built, and that leads directly into Jason X. Theirs some backstory I left out, but I figure this is the important whole story. If anyone has anything to add or correct feel free. I gotta credit www.fridaythe13thfilms.com for helping me with a few facts.

Nash and HBK fight for the good of the business!
Shanghai Kid replied to Insane Bump Machine's topic in The WWE Folder
The IWC is built on hypocracy, get used to it. It's as important for us to function as Oxygen is for the Human race. -
HBK's matches weren't spotfests because he actually worked in a particular pace, and made transistions. He didn't do a spot and than stall, and do another. He would mix it up and spread the high spots through out the match. HBK could work a technical match as well as a spotfest. Even his spotfests had psycology (Hell in a Cell, Streetfight). As far as his selling goes, he did the same kind of selling as most the faces of the 90's. Get beat up most of the match, and make the comeback at the end. If you do want to see some good selling though, watch the HBK/Bret Hart Survivor Series 97 match or the HBK/Austin match at Wrestlemania 14. Bret Hart did the same thing, always getting beat up and then usually coming back with his 5 moves of doom. HBK didn't have a 'limited' movset back in the day, go back and watch his matches, he could do everything other main events could do, and also throw in top rope moonsulats, elbow drops, clothsines, back elbows, splashes. RVD in ECW didn't sell a lick, had no psycology in his matches, blew half of the spots he tried, and stalled like a bitch. In WWE, his moveset has been reduced, and now he's just repetitive. HBK, now, can put on a better match than RVD.
