I don't even think Marty should feud with Shawn. I think someone else pointed it out, but after the feud is over Marty would be DONE. Better to keep him as a face, have him hang around with Shawn and have him put over guys like Hassan. That's the way to go, having him turn on Shawn would be predictable and would kill any heat Marty had.

Why can't they just be good friends? Why does everything have to be about alterior motives?

I thought the whole problem between Austin and Owen stemmed specifically from the incident at SS 97. But reading Martha Harts book, she said even before that Owen and Austin not only didn't like each other, but that Owen suspected that Austin might even fake an injury in the match. She also says Owen never felt like he did anything wrong in the match, he didn't take responsibility for it at least and I guess Austin rightfully resented that. So on the 'Owen' dedicated Raw, what was the point of Austin coming out last and saluting Owen? Austin not only didn't like the guy, he was one of the few wrestlers not to show up to his funeral. Also, did Davey Boy Smith really use Owen's death to get himself a job again in the WWE? The whole Hart family seemed to split over Martha's lawsuit. And I had no idea about the whole Max Mini thing, good thing they aborted that idea.

Julian Mcmahon is a beast, he will be the perfect Bond.

That was done as perfectly as it could possibly be done. God bless the WWE.

Give the guy a break, he's old.

Holy shit....I never thought I'd see this stuff.

He had claimed to be the 'main' guy who handled Sting's entrances, and the WWE hired him based on that I guess without really researching it. It was later learned he was just an assistant on the whole Sting thing.

Actually as far as breaking kayfabe goes, Undertaker was I believe the only other guy who didn't give any comments on the 'Owen' Raw. To this day I think Undertaker didn't want to break his deadman gimmick and show any kind of emotion. Of course just a year later he would say screw all of that and become a biker who pimped Limp Bisket music.

No they still tried to do some stuff with him at the hospitall, one doctor said that it was still possible for him to live, he didn't have any vital signs or a hearbeat but he still had an electrical something like that was technically keeping him alive. His autora (sp) was damanged significantly and Martha said the doctors had seen people revived from that state before albeit with severe brain damage. One thing that's confusing that is that Owen appears to be unconscience and lifeless in the ring, but according to the autopsy Owen didn't have any injury that would of made him immediately unconscience. Supposedly he should of been conscience but suffering through extreme pain.
-
According to Martha Harts book, Owen had already turned blue in the ring and was pretty much lifeless without technically being completely dead. Everything from him being taken to the back on was just the doctors trying to bring him back with CPR. Also what complicated the matter was that the ambulance didn't immediately take him to the hospital, because of some law they at first were waiting for another ambulance to come and finally they made a judgement call and just went anyways. When they got to the hospital the doctors tried to inject him with something that ended up shattering his vein and he was prenounced dead 13 minutes later, all according to Martha Hart

That promo a second ago on Raw was pretty much money. The whole 1996 connection seems a little far fetched, but I'm glad their building it up as both wrestlers wanting to see who is better instead of just something stupid from the Royal Rumble.

The greatest thing ever, the crowd chanting 'We Want Matt' at Edge, WWE should really take advantage of this.

Tarantino Boards New Friday the 13th Movie?
Shanghai Kid replied to Banter's topic in Television & Film
Man Tarantino could do a great Jason movie, it's just so out of left field I wouldn't know what to expect. -
Also this factor. Entire episodes of Raw and Smackdown would be dedicated to selling the magazine just to stroke the ego. It would have to be the top selling WWE diva spread because the princess would be crushed if it wasn't. I just think your overrating Stephs appeal, even as a billionares daughter. I don't think it's enough to make people buy a spread of what is a rich, chubby, big boned brunette with no playboy like body features. Her breasts are way out of proportion with the rest of her body. If Steph was still super hot like she was in 2000 than maybe yeah, but she's definetly not playboy material at this point. Trish is just more desirable to not only the wrestling audience but the playboy audience as well. Casual people who know nothing about wrestling will surely buy a magazine with Trish on the cover over that of Stephanie. Despite some of you thinking Trish doesn't have mainstream appeal, she's been on Mad TV a few times, she's been at awards shows, she's very popular in Canada, and she has fans from her modeling days. I think she's more of an international celebrity than some of you think.
-
Stephanie might 'sell more because of the taboo appeal' but not to the extent that some of you think. At the end of the day people who pass by the magazine are going to see a chubby, big boned brunett with a pair of breasts that don't fit her body. You can't really get past the fact that Steph isn't very attractive and doesn't have many positive body features. Steph in 2000, now SHE was VERY HOT back then. That would be a different story if say it was Wrestlemania 2000 Steph. Trish I think fits the playbody audience better and wrestling fans for the most part would take Trish over Steph ANY day of the week.

She's just really hot, period. Everything else is a bonus

Weekend Boxoffice Report March 4-6
Shanghai Kid replied to Youth N Asia's topic in Television & Film
Who the f*** went to see the Pacifier? Well I'll be damned.....Vin Diesel beating out Travolta/Uma/Rock/Cedrick....the Apocalypse is upon us! -
I agree with the whole 'you had to be a mark during that time period' stance. It was the ultimate face vs face classic, and it still gives you a nostalgia fix when you need it. Sure the actual match sucked, but the crowd was so into it I wouldn't call it 'boring'.

ULTIMATE WARRIOR DVD! HELL YEAH! I wonder if they'll include his WCW stuff? Road Warriors DVD, definely expected and definetly deserved. I hope this teams their going to start giving most of their old stars double disk DVDs. I don't know why their doing a Montreal DVD other than to try to have something to counter Wrestling with Shadows. I wonder how this DVD will affect Bret's relationship with the company and if this will be 'the' only Bret Hart DVD we get.
