Considering this IS a wrestling board, getting rid of them would be kind of strange. I like KingPK's list in the first post, except I think a historical discussion folder should be seperate from CE. That way, things could actually get discussed, instead of mowed over by the lastest flame-fest.

Honestly, I'd be pissed, too. He got over without a huge push (or a push at all, really), which is something a good half of the WWE roster will never do. He moved to Raw to be with Lita, and wound up playing second fiddle to her. Then she cheats on him with a friend, and he loses his job?

That's probably pretty true. I remember that Halo was only running on a half power dev kit, and that was one of the best looking games they had at launch. That, and I don't buy Sony's storm of bullshit about the whole "twice the speed of the Xbox 360", bit. How many people believed them about how powerful the PS2 would be, and it turned out worse than the Dreamcast?

Personally, I like all three systems, but of those, the Xbox offers the best features. (Graphics, custom soundtracks, Live play, and no memory cards.) I can't see the next gens being any different.

Another thing.. How many games do you see really using that Blu-Ray disc? Most games now don't even fill up a 4.2 gig DVD, much less the space a BD-ROM's supposedly capable of.

I don't see how it's that much more capable..and this IS Sony we're talking about. I don't buy into the hype they spit out. Besides, unless something comes out very soon that's a must-have PS3 title, I'll wait. Especially knowing how bad the first-gen PS2's were..

Sometimes it's really just random. Some citities do better harvest than trade, so you may have to upgrade your farms. For trade, you need the best level of Roads, and Ports that you can get, followed by Traders. Also, make sure that an enemy army or rebels aren't sitting on your trade route..they cut it in half.

Now, I have NO idea if this is real, but I've seen it at several places around the internet.

I finally got around to reinstalling this. So far, my Scipii are doing great. In the first three or four turns, I took Syracuse, and kicked the Greeks out of Sicily. In a strange move, Carthage pulled it's fairly large army out of Lilybadium (about seven units or so), and were taking it back to their capital, when my fleet sunk it. I stripped my capital down to a govenor and a Town Watch or two, and took everyone else I could, hiring a few mercs in Sicily, and keeping Lilybadium seiged. My army that took Syracuse shipped over to Carthage, which had a pitiful garrison, and seiged it. Also helped that I bribed off the fairly large army of reinforcements coming to stop me. So far, I've got all of North Africa except for the two Numidian cities toward the bottom of the map. I've taken both of Carthage's island towns, and that army's headed toward Spain now. The only problem is keeping some of these towns happy..some of them are HUGE (28k+), and some are just too far away from the capital. I've got a killer economy going on, so that helps.

If you have your PS2 modded, and a DVD burner..just download it.

Ah, I love console unveilings. Where everybody that doesn't like the previous one just has to make an ass out of themselves. Personally, I'll wait and see what it does, before I buy one, just like I did the others in this generation. If it's anything like this one, I'll get a PS3 for the imports, and select RPGs, and an Xbox for everything else. Unless Nintendo gets another Super Robot Wars game, and something like RE4..I'll pass. The controller can't be any worse than the one the GC has, after all. Personally, the first Xbox controller was my favorite.

Personally, HCTP's is worse than the previous game..considering there are a lot of CAW parts missing..

Honestly, the PC version's better, because of the loads of mods. Someone even replaced the ugly as hell character models.

Bandai does do a lot of good stuff, just none of it ever makes it over here. The SD Gundam G Generation and Super Robot Wars series, particularly..both are turn-based strategy games, but fairly different in execution. Unfortunately, SRW won't ever make it over. Cheap bastards. The best thing about this is that Namco made the latest Gundam action game, which just happens to be worlds above anything Bandai's done. Maybe they'll get to make them from now on..

I think IGN's snorting crack, and that first list is even worse. System Shock 2 is stuck at #70, and it's easily better than most of the FPS games put out since. Not many games can combine RPG and FPS elements, but it did..and did it damned well. No sign of either Fallout on there, on either list? Those are two of the best RPG games to come from a developer..American or otherwise.. Both allowed for incredible ammounts of freedom in character creation and interacting with the world..yet didn't feel dry and empty like, say..Morrowind. Not to mention a pretty good story, and combat system.. Another thing I find strange is the fact Baldur's Gate is on there, but the sequel isn't..and 2 kicked the crap out of the first.

Yeah, but only one good one. I'm not a big fan of Burnout, or NFS: Ricer Mania..and Test Drive has always sucked.

Sometimes the rebel popups are just bizzare. My Spain..in the second or third turn, had to deal with a sizable rebel band..including two units of Bull Warriors. Something that takes me the largest town a barbarian can have, with the highest level of temple to get.

IGN proves their stupidity yet again.. I guess they really liked those chop battles, stare downs, shoving matches, and other stupid shit..

Backward compatibilty is overrated, anyway. Nevermind the fact it's going to have an entire different graphics chipset..but that doesn't matter, does it? If they keep cranking out good games, I'll get one. And if somehow, the Japanese developers would remove their heads from their asses, and produce games for it.. that'd be great, too.
