    Who should take Lesnar's spot?

But the problem is, does that really matter? Since if Triple H gets his way, he's going to fuck over Edge if he can get him to RAW. Really nothing is different right now, except that Triple H has to get the wrestler off of Smackdown to RAW, and thus by doing so makes Smackdown an inferior show. However, we aren't turning this into a "Triple H Needs Overness" thread. It's about who will fill Brock Lesnar's spot. And frankly, I can't realistically think of anyone who will. The only one that comes close is A-Train, realistically and from the WWE standpoint. Which is a bad thing if you can only name ONE person, that doesn't bode well. Hell, if Edge goes, you need TWO people. I can only think of A-Train, and unless they are taking Mysterio out of Cruiser, I can't think of a second person.

Brock Lesnar quits WWE after Mania!

I said "IN THE EYES OF THE WWE". For crying out loud, you and I both know that RVD and Booker T can be a main eventer if the WWE is commited to it. However, in the eyes of the WWE, they'll want to have credible main eventers that they can push right away to the top of the card. If they have to bring in people whom they believe they have to build up as main eventers, they'll just take some of the talent of Smackdown and do the same. Also there is still the possiblity of Edge going to RAW still. And frankly, I still believe that he'll end up on RAW. Besides A-Train, realistically there isn't many whom WWE would consider pushing. I could only see Mysterio and Tajiri being pushed if they got lucky but they are in Crusier right now (been said many times, IE: Hell).

    Who should take Lesnar's spot?

Jericho isn't leaving RAW though Choken One. He's on a mission to help his buddy Christian get elevated up the card over there. And I doubt that the WWE would allow Vitamin C to leave RAW together. RVD won't leaving RAW because who the hell else is going to get pops on RAW? I mean, RVD is the only guy they can consistantly screw over and still get good pops. They wouldn't let him leave RAW, since they can toss him Test or Rico and at least have some heat for a match. They wouldn't let him leave RAW if their lives depended on it (which pretty much they do). Booker T won't leave RAW because frankly, the WWE believe he's not "main event calibre" and I don't think the WWE would be willing to "lower" someone to his status. Smackdown is need of some talent being pushed up and in need of some talent staying. Most likely, I think we'll be seeing Eddie vs. Show, Angle vs. Taker, and hopefully Edge vs. someone (I'm figuring A-Train). Whatever happens, SD is going to be pushing a hell of a lot of people in order to make up for the loss of talent. I'm really worried if Edge doesn't return to SD because that means SD will be outright fodder since there isn't anyone who looks high profile besides four people.

    Who should take Lesnar's spot?

I agree, have Benjamin and Haas have a great midcard feud. However, I'd only agree with this as long as the tag division actually has the other tag teams, you know, being produced and shown on SD. As for the OVW guys, I agree that the WWE has to move them up the card. However, the WWE would rather move up people that have been up in the company for years. With Lesnar leaving this will not only ring true, the WWE will see to it that only those loyal to the company and have been there for years will ever get anything good happen to them.

    Who should take Lesnar's spot?

100% agree about Shelton Benjamin. That man is the shit! You'd have to break up the World's Greatest Tag Team and frankly, do you think the WWE can afford to break up a tag team when it's two tag team divisions are so broken down and worn out that they could survive with what few they have? Yes, I know the SD side has a like 7 teams. Only 4 of them are well known and the WWE are willing to push at us. I doubt the other teams would even get a breaths worth of acknowledgement. Hell when was the last time we saw Kidman and London on SD since their first showing? Um... Never.

    Who should take Lesnar's spot?

I'm not haterizing on A-Train at all. But I haven't exactly seen A-Train in a long time or at a point where I could consider him main event talent for even longer. To me he's borderline uppercard status at BEST right now. You'd have to have a lot of build to push him to main eventer status, and right now the WWE will figure it doesn't have the time to build him up so they'll push him right down our throats and he'll get a title reign that'll do NOTHING MORE than be forced and utterly bad.

    Who should take Lesnar's spot?

We've already taken into account Taker, Big Show, Eddie, and Angle, bps. We still need two others to jump up there. Because with Smackdown, they've usually got six main eventers running around that place. Right now, there's only four assured ones and two that slide up for two weeks then crash back down. I'm just worried if they push Angle down to midcard because they are worried about is neck and figure that he's not worth it to have in the main event status. Now you drop down to three assured main eventers. This is not looking good for Smackdown. And I agree with unleashedthefury. The brand extention is looking awfully bad right about now.

Brock Lesnar quits WWE after Mania!

Option one is at least doable and a healthy idea. However the WWE has thought it would be best not to have Kurt Angle anywhere near the top of the card post-Mania. Option two doesn't really help. So RVD or Booker T go to SD. It'll still be quite awhile before they get to respectable main event status (at least in the eyes of the WWE) again, so I don't think that'll happen anytime soon. Unless the WWE are willing to have the patience to do so. Option three only works if Edge doesn't return to RAW. I'm hoping to our Almighty Wrestling God that this doesn't happen, but most likely Edge is going to RAW still.

    Who should take Lesnar's spot?

That's a possibility and reduces the need to push main eventers like mad. They'd still need to push someone to fill Lesnar's spot though. I really am quite depressed because Smackdown is going to be utterly shitty without Brock. Let's face it. It is true because we will have a no selling Taker, Big Show being an off and on monster, one of the possible Trifecta (Holly, Gunn, A-Train) being pushed, and the only redeeming quality is that Guerrero will be the WWE Champion and Angle will be around to at least do something. This is not looking good right now for wrestling. How sad is it that I'm actually down with that plan? Not as much as me hoping Edge stays and begging that Kane does move over to Smackdown. Kane's got a free pass to Smackdown anyways (via storyline). Otherwise, we are in for a long haul of suck, suck, and more suck.

    Who should take Lesnar's spot?

Actually, as Anglesault said, it most likely will be Show vs. Taker for awhile. Which means we will need two people elevated if Edge does not return to Smackdown. This will be utterly suckville for Smackdown.

    Who should take Lesnar's spot?

...wow. Simply wow. That's just awful if you think about. They'd have to push TWO people as main event calibre talent if they do have Eddie and Kurt move onto something else post-mania. At least if Edge is staying we have Kurt vs. Edge (yet, again though, which makes me go ugh). If they somehow turn him heel will make it Edge vs. Eddie (and from what I remember of the ladder match from a long time ago, I'd be a mark for this set up). However, if Edge leaves, that means that two people would have to be elevated, and frankly I don't know who on the face side could be right now. I know A-Train will be for the heel side, but who on the face side would be elevated then?
  12. Lightning Flik

Brock Lesnar quits WWE after Mania!

It's either A-Train, Bob Holly, or Billy Gunn. What's the lesser of the three evils Anglesault? I wasn't limiting it to SD!, I just wanted to know who the company would push as their big homemade project. I was limiting it to SD. If it wasn't limited to SD, I would probably follow suit with your "OH MY GOD" comment. Because that means he'd get pushed to even greater heights than before... Which means he'd probably be shoved down our throats ten times worse than he was before.
  13. Lightning Flik

    Who should take Lesnar's spot?

I think Kurt has turned into the company's bitch personally. So I doubt he'd leave, since he's "WWE 4 LIFE". Seriously though, I could see A-Train being elevated to the spot. He wasn't that bad, and besides the two other choices, Billy Gunn and Bob Holly, I'd rather have him. At least he can entertain me when the chance arises that he does do that. I don't even bother suggesting Edge, because frankly, he'll probably end up on RAW regardless of if he does, it would make Smackdown like a second rate show that isn't anything to RAW. Hell, even if RVD was traded to SD, I doubt that you could make RVD a considerable heel that the fans wouldn't cheer for.

Brock Lesnar quits WWE after Mania!

It's either A-Train, Bob Holly, or Billy Gunn. What's the lesser of the three evils Anglesault? Better yet, which of these three will take Brock's spot? Seriously though, I was just thinking about Pride GP's offer and I could see Lesnar turning around and taking it. If Brock does that's a bigger slap of pain to the WWE than him leaving.

    Who should take Lesnar's spot?

With the loss of Lesnar to Smackdown, I can totally foresee Edge NOT leaving SD now. They need some credibility and star power, and thus, I see Edge returning to Smackdown once more. But they were probably pushing Edge regardless. Just wanted to say that Edge will most likely be staying now. That being said, I predict that A-Train will get a chance to become a major superstar on Smackdown now. Now I know that many people will be totally blown away by this, but seriously, who else are you going to push? You could push Team Angle by breaking them up, but you kill a Tag Division that can't afford to get killed anymore. Cena's currently playing face (the guy should be a fucking heel). Jamie Noble is a cruiserweight that will remain a cruiserweight regardless of how good he is. I can't see them giving Gunn a chance (although, I wouldn't be shocked if he did) since he's been so injury prone (and worse injury wise than Triple H). Thus, it leaves A-Train. I can't realisticaly see anyone else than A-Train. I could also add Rhyno's been doing a whole lot of nothing, Tajiri's in Cruiser (should be called WWE's version of Hell), Mysterio will never be a heel, and frankly, I don't know of anyone else that really could at least be decently elevated like A-Train. Do I want A-Train elevated to that spot? Hell no, but most likely, he'll be the top person to get the job.

Brock Lesnar quits WWE after Mania!

And the set up for the WCW Goliath vs. the WWE Goliath with the WWF Goliath as ref was really just as good too. Geezus, they've lost their biggest creation. That's absolutely got ot suck. ...hey, you remember the insane amount of money that the MMA company threw at Lesnar not that long ago? Maybe that made Brock realize that all the politicking and bullshit that goes on with creative wasn't really worth it?

Brock Lesnar quits WWE after Mania!

But S D, he's not taking a "leave". He's out right quitting. And I'm quite sure that if Brock really is committed to trying to get a job in the NFL, someone in the NFL will give Brock a job.

    Bret Hart and WrestleMania

Normally C-Bacon, I would say that you are just wishfully thinking. However, with Brock Lesnar quiting the WWE, I'd say I wouldn't throw it out as wishful thinking just yet. Not till WMXX is over at least.

Brock Lesnar quits WWE after Mania!

And now, the shit has hit the fan truly. Now it sounds to me as if Lesnar is sick of the politicking and the bullshit that comes along with everything else. NOT his actual schedule. This is such a big blow to the WWE. Although he's going to try out for the NFL? Why do I get the feeling someone from the NFL has already been in contact with Brock Lesnar and probably offering him a hell of a paycheck? ...I'd be figuring RB or T just because of his size, speed, and fitness.

    ABC NEWS WM Article

Actually, the writer did his homework. In that Randy Orton is one of the most talked about wrestlers (if for all the wrong reasons) and thus, starting and ending with him would bring out people to read that good article of his. Add a bit of spice from Triple H and well, you've got people talking about your article.

Brock Lesnar quits WWE after Mania!

I guess they are doing the Judgment Day '98 deal at WM20, where Austin beats the shit out of both guys and declares himself the winner. But that's the biggest cop out EVER! And if they get Lesnar back, then how does he get vengeance against Austin? Same can be said for Goldberg to a lesser extent. This will really fuck up a lot of things if done that way.

Teddy Hart vs. Homicide video clips

I almost went "If I didn't know this was Lance, knew that Homicide was an indy wrestler, this could almost pass for a younger version of WCW's Lance Storm." Seriously, it was just like Lance Storm's old gimmick. Except he rhymed a lot.

Whoa! Brock Lesnar is DONE with the WWE at Wrestlemania XX? But so is Goldberg... ...ok, now I have no idea who the hell is going over if this is true.

    Fantasy NBA League?

I just realized something. I'm cheering on Alfdogg this week. Why? Because if Alfdogg Asylum manages to beat up Pocono Poison, 7-1 and I manage to take my own series against Team 2004 8-0 (it'll most likely be 6-2), I've got a shot at the consolation playoffs. Of course, I still need to rely on Better Than Utah destroying Alfdogg Asylum and Whalers on the Moon destroying Gwanju White Tigers the following week, but if this all happens, I make the playoffs. As my team can beat Pocono Poison. I just need everything to fall into place (which looks like it'll happen). All I can say is wow. Didn't think it would happen like that. I honestly didn't.

    Fantasy NBA League?

Regarding the Keeper Issue: Yes, for next season there will be keepers, as well as an expansion (since there are only 15 teams that can possibly return). Drafting will be the expansion team getting the first overall pick of every round (meaning, the offline draft will be non-serpentine), and whoever finishes in what ascending rank of the regular season. Meaning since Harlequinns is last, they have the 2nd overall pick, etc. And since I've had a lot of good feedback regarding our offline draft, we will be using it for the following season. At the end of the regular season of the league, you will choose your two keepers if you wish. If you do not state who you pick or do not wish to retain two keepers, you will have a first and second round draft pick. In the event that everyone takes keepers (and I'm half suspecting this will happen, not sure), the expansion team will then have 2 picks and then the draft will accordingly happen. Meaning the expansion team will have 3 picks for their first round. So please decide soon on whether or not you'll be taking keepers, or whether or not you'll be staying for another season. Only two other notable changes for next season as well. 1) Turnovers will be included into the stats. To get rid of any 4-4 games. 2) Instead of the normal 2G, 2F, 1C, 1U, 3B, and 3IL (I think it's 3IL) for the roster, it'll be changed to 2G, 2F, 1C, 2U, 2B and 2IL.
