  1. Well, um... I have Fleury (created and um... nothing really special) and Caron (who I actually started the last two games). As for who's on the market, I'll have to check... Felix Potvin 86 (6.9M for 2 years) Jamie Storr 85 (6.1M for 2 years) Tim Thomas 76 (1.6M for 2 years) Levente Szuper 76 (1.6M for 2 years) Cory Hirsch 74 (1.5M for a year) Marc Lamothe 74 (1.5M for 2 years) Travis Scott 74 (1.2M for a year) Since I've only got 10.2 million left, I'm half tempted NOT to sign Potvin or Storr to a deal and just pick up Levente Szuper (sending either him or Fleury to the minors). Oh, and that trade for Green, Nolan and Colaiacovo was an awesome deal. Nolan was inked in for a 5 year deal with Toronto, and I picked that up. Green's a couple of years, so Colaiacovo was the only one I needed to sign for a while. So I think I really made a good trade. Considering Caron has only let in 5 goals in the last two games, I must say that the trade has done me good as I do have some good goaltending. Fleury's getting his first start here shortly, not sure if I might deal Green away (his endurance is pitifully 54, and so he'll drag any line I put him on down), and since there are some guys on the FA that look really good... I'm kinda interested here (Comrie, Nieuwendyk, Mironov, Keane) in seeing if I should or not...
  2. I'd figured as much. Hopefully, Fleury does some good in net... Only overall of 79. I'll give you an update on my next game. I also signed Larionov, Berezin, Eriksson, and Lumme as well.
  3. Happy B-Day!
  4. Currently I'm playing NHL 2004 (yes, astonishing, I'm actually on topic) and I'm in a bind. I started Dynasty with the Penguins (felt sorry for them) and just had the WEIRDEST trade proposal given to me after my second game. And I'm really not sure if I should take it or decline it or counter offer it. Toronto has just offered me Centre - T. Green (1.5M), Right Wing - O. Nolen (6M), and Defense - C. Colaiacovo (1.1M) for Centre - M. Lemieux (5.3M), Goalie - J. Hedberg (0.5M), and Goalie - J. Aubin (0.8M). While it is a more expensive trade and I'm not really in the good side of taking trades like this, I am in need of improvements, as well as Lemieux ALONE jumps in price to 12M, Hedberg about 4M (and has played like CRAP last two games posting a GAA of like 5) and Aubin about 1.8M. So I'm not really sure what I'd be losing here. If anything. Not only that, but the trade gives me a good upcoming defense (which I could use right away) and also a good solid right wing (which I don't really have). I will lose a starting goalie, but I do have Marc-Andre Fleury waiting to be used (created him) and if I really need someone badly, I can always probably make something happen. However, I'm not sure I want to pick up two guys whom I'm quite sure will be asking for a lot more than they will be worth (Green and Nolan), add that it's the beginning of the season and I can't really say if it's all that bad. What do you guys think? Should I accept this trade, yah or nah?
  5. I learnt this in Week 1. Now then... Let's see how I'm doing. *checks NFL.com* Cincy beat San Fran: 1-0 for me. Houston lost to Tampa Bay: 1-1 tie. Kansa City blows out Detroit: 2-1 and I'm losing. Denver vs. Cleveland tied currently at time of me checking: Ugh, I need win here. I'd win by tiebreaker.
  6. Crap... I only got the St. Louis vs. Seatle.
  7. GO CINCY GO! WOO!!! Hm... Rams get a TD.
  8. God only knows... I don't really understand it myself, unless everyone is bitching to have Warner back. Frankly, I'd prefer Bulger myself.
  9. The reason why so many people believe this rumor to be true, is because many people say that the isle that Gogo is found on, is the same as where Daryl died. ...I don't know how anyone comes up with that, but that's what I remember as the reason.
  10. Firstly, to win that "potion" you must battle 65000 (or at least, I sat there and did that) times around where Vector formerly was. Secondly, the Name card and all the Imp Stuff IS true. Downside to making a character like that is he isn't controlable anymore.
  11. I'll go two games over .500. SO HAH~!
  12. May I ask why NWO instead of WM? I'd rather have Benoit vs. Lesnar II at WMXX, with Benoit winning the Rumble as to make the whole scenario interesting. Also, the move is known in the Smackdown games as Stretch Muffler. Except, the version Brock does is a sitting variation.
  13. I'm kinda betting that something was sorta right, but turned out to be nothing spectacularly wrong, so now the WWE is making it "it was an angle all along" to just cover their asses. ...then again, that would mean logic... Nevermind.
  14. Basically it is dressing up like a character from anime/video games/pretty much anything. It's like halloween, except you are trying to be as best a realistical facsimily as possible. At least, I think that's how it works. I'm probably totally off.
  15. I rented this game, Fire Emblem for the GBA recently and I must say that it is a hell of a play. I'm currently into Chapter 14 and battling my ass off, trying to get through that stupid battle. It's kinda cool how you are the tactician, planning out the battles and the guy who is responsible for the wins. Yet, you aren't the person the game revolves around. It's your adventure with such and such person (not naming names, as I'd spoil it), and what they currently are going through. It's pissing me off though, because I really am having to think about what I need to do to win. In Chapter 14, I'm trying my hardest to stay alive, but I just ran into the problem of my ax-wielders can't hit anything in the Chapter worth a damn (you get three of them at this point), my characters are getting bashed up good, and I keep making stupid errors. I just got back some character's from Chapter 8, who are a pain in the ass lowly leveled, and are off on their own in a little corner and most likely will get shelled if I don't move, move, move. Then, I've got bandits just popping up out of nowhere, trying to kill my squad and my tent (it's basically out so I can stop having to give up items I don't want to when I get a new item); while the forces of evil rain down upon me (30 guys to my like 11), and trying to keep everyone alive at all times (someone dies, he's gone for good). Add in the fact that three characters are esseciential to the whole game, must never die or game over, and well... I'm just rolling my eyes anytime something screws up. And lately screw ups a plenty, as I've died a ton in Chapter 13 and 14 doesn't seem to be getting easier. Overall, fun time as I'm enjoying the challenge. And definitely intrigued with the story as it's quite sound. Although most "extra" characters that have been introduced have been flat, they've still been given relatively good backstory to understand the characters and whom they are. So anyone else played this yet? If so, where you at? Chapter 14+ or something? Whaddya think of this game?

  18. You will all know when I leave. ...that's about all I'll say to that. I'm still working on the rough draft of my farewell idea. Still like 10 years away to be produced, but I've got time to kill.
  19. Huh? You want me to write you a single e-mail of maybe this magnitude, each and EVERY week? "Hey Dames, Thanks once again for providing for me, my only way to know about NWA:TNA. Greatly appreciate the effort. ~ <insert my real name here>" I mean, sorry Dames, but I'd figure that after awhile, you'd become annoyed with getting an e-mail each and every week saying the same exact thing. Hence why I haven't.
  20. Aw fuck... Now I'll never be able to guess who the fuck was it...
  21. Meh... Since this is to talk about hockey, what does everyone think of the Comrie situation as it stands now? I added the story, just in case any hockey fan didn't know what was going on (and in some ways, we still don't know what's up with how we got to this point). Personally, I really don't care for what Lowe is doing. I didn't care for it the day he signed Laraque to a 1.5 million contract. I was of the mind, "ok, you can pay Laraque, a fighting gritty checker that, but you can't give Comrie his 2.5 million now? Or at least give him a decently looking offer? Then just trade him." I don't know why, I'm like this (as many are against Comrie that I've spoken to around town), but seriously, he's about as screwed over as CuJo. I mean, although I find the thought of a player paying for his trade is amusing and probably a decent tactic if it had been done differently, how the hell does Lowe pull this shit? The trade was made, a deal negotiated for Anaheim and Comrie, and after it is all done you (Lowe) spring "oh, we want YOU to cough up the money, otherwise no deal". Heck, at least CuJo is getting to play. Maybe I'm just not seeing it from Lowe's point of view and in the minority, but geezus, I really really don't care for crap like this pulled. And I'm a diehard Oiler fan, but hell, I'd rather be cheering on a team like the Thrashers right now (no offense to Thrashers fans, I just mean you guys willing to embrace what your team has struggled through instead of outright hating of Heatly) then my pathetic bunch of ragtags after this. Ugh... (Note: Yes, I do get the business applications of this and understand WHY Lowe would pull it from that point, but fuck... I always laughed at teams and feel proud when my team hasn't pulled this shit ever, but looks like it was just bidding it's time.)

  25. Ahem, bullshit. Firstly, FFT would've happened regardless, as Tactics Ogre was released and meet with pretty good success and since Square has been wanting to do FF12, FFT would've been done regardless. As FFT is the pilot of FF12 in a sense. Lunar was released on the Sega system, so L:SSSC is actually a remake and thus shouldn't be a part of you trying to make a defense that we wouldn't ever have had it.
