About a million and a half in truth. Including "Greater" Edmonton (that's also including St. Albert, and those towns that aren't really apart of Edmonton), then that's about 2 million. Edit: You know, I'll check my numbers. I think I might be off by about 500 thousand. Double Edit: Damn. Actually off by a million. On 2001 of March 15th, it was recorded that 2,974,807 people lived in Edmonton. Credit to http://www.citypopulation.de/ So that's about 3 years off, so it's probably 3 million today. Add in the surrounding areas and you've probably got close to 4 mil.

I don't admit that he's our only star. We've got Helmsky, Raffi, Brewer and a whole bunch of guys. (And yes, I spelt people's names wrong. SUE ME~!) But, you should read the Edmonton newspapers and crap. Anything on Comrie, it's top of the sports page. It doesn't matter if it's not even about the game, he's front news. The guy has been made out to be the local hero, and hence he DOES get that type of response of he's the hero that must be the only factor to winning. And yes, that comes from him being from Edmonton. When I talked to my grandpa (big hockey nut) about it, he told me Comrie would be gone for this exact reason in about this much time. Everyone makes him out to be the guy. I think he'd rather just be another Oiler, and besides, really he's only a small factor to why they are good.
-
LOL -- so did I. Two wild cards from each division? This ain't the NBA or NHL... Actually you just have the division winners and then another 5 teams that don't deserve to be there that get in. No offense people, but even I disagree with having 16 teams in the playoffs. Too many teams.
-
Actually there WAS a deal done that would've had Comrie with the Oilers and it was LESS than what Comrie wanted. However, Comrie nor Lowe are willing to talk about what the difference was that set them so far apart. It isn't really the money, it's something outside of the contract that Comrie felt should be addressed and Lowe disagrees with him on it. And I'm also guessing that this probably stems from the fact that Comrie doesn't appreciate how the organization has played him out as their only star and that everything should be pinned on him. At least that's what I'd guess he's probably steamed about. Only thing I could guess. Otherwise Comrie and the Oilers wouldn't be in the situation they are in.
-
Edit: Just read the post above mine. Makes sense adding more money. If I had gotten a PPV, I might've noticed.

THEY MADE MONEY??? ON THE PPVS??? WHEN THEY GOT LESS BUYS??? WTF?!
-
Well, they didn't win. If you want to be honest about it, Saints lost. It's that the Falcons decided to give them the game for free.

That actually got some tears from me. First time in a long time. ...and thank you for spoiling the ending to FF VIII. No offense, but frankly, can I ask what the fuck is your problem? Not Sakura, but you vivi? This is a thread about video games that make you cry. DID YOU AND PEOPLE LIKE YOU NOT EXPECT SPOILERS??? Geezus, everything in this thread is going to be a spoiler, so I don't know why you wouldn't expect something to be spoiled on games. Sure, yes, it's the ending, but grow up, the game has been out for shit... I think four or more years now, I don't think there's any necessary need to put up spoilers. Sorry, but if you haven't beaten it by now, or you hate the game, or you have absolutely no burning desire to defeat it (which most people state they do) THEN WHY THE FUCK DO YOU CARE IF SHE SPOILED IT FOR YOU? Oh, I forgot, it's Sakura, we must obscenely bash her because anything she does is evil. [/end rant] But considering people are just going to bitch anyways, I'll put them in spoilers. Personally, last time I had a good choke up, was Grandia 2's ending. Yah, it's not really something to get choked up about because it's a happy ending, but is it really? Spoiler (Highlight to Read): Ryugo has not one girl waiting for him, but two. So he's still gotta make a decision on that. Ryugo is also has been gone for a year to have some time to think about his life and everything that's happened recently to him. And those two people Ryugo cares about have changed a lot, Mellina becomes a school teacher that the kids she teaches adore which is a total role reversal from her Demonic self, and Elena leaves the Priesthood and becomes a traveling Songstress which I find cool because again it's a total role reversal from what she was. but both of them don't think that Ryugo will leave either one of them alone or go off with the other gal. I guess I find the ending of Grandia 2 kinda saddening because no one's journey is really finished. Elena became a wandering Songstress so that she can better understand the world throughout her travels, Mellina has had her fill of wandering around the world as a Demonic being; so she's trying to enjoy life as a normal magic using person, and Ryugo is still trying to figure everything out that happened and come to grips with it. Also, I agree with what Kahran said about Suikoden 2's ending. It was a well thoughout ending and wonderfully played out how it would work till the end. I just something to add: Spoiler (Highlight to Read): The true ending doesn't see Jowy die. This is assuming you get all 108 stars and also save that girl chick as she isn't really supposed to die. I think those are all the stuff you need to do to save Jowy. But what's most interesting, is just like McDohl, they leave everything that happened behind. At least that's what I got by the ending picture is you saved Jowy. Maybe I'm wrong on that. It's been awhile since I've beaten Sui2.

Well, it's not like they got their ass kicked. Had the Falcons given Feely better field position in overtime, we wouldn't be talking about the Falcons sucking. Instead, they blew the week for me. Well, duh... But as I said, that's because they don't have a QB that can move the fucking ball other than Vick. Hence why they let Feely just kick it from like so far out. And put the hate on my Falcons. I know they deserve it. Cause fuck, they really do show that without Vick, they can't do anything right. And that's quite pitiful.
-
Can we just drop the speciality matches that are particular to a certain character? Most people lose them.
-
That's nice. I'm quite happy that you corrected that. Now I'm not so badly worried about facing fazzle (not actually facing him, but you get what I mean). I can still lose and bask in the warmth that is second place. Oh... Did someone actually bet on the Falcons? Are you kidding me? Without Vick? You poor, poor fool. Why would you ever do so? Hell, even I know without Vick, they don't got jack shit. And Atlanta's sucking is actually providing me the mental boost to make sure that I make them win something. It might not be much, I'm going to do my best to win them this. Least I can do for them. As for wishing him the flu, he'll most likely be shelfed for the rest of the season. I really can't see a justifible reason to have him come back and start the last games of the season, other than for fan support in seeing that "with Vick, we would've been there". The season is done for the Atlanta Falcons, might as well let Vick get healthy 100% and think about next year.

My team's weekly forecast: Monday = Low Suck Tuesday = Suck Moreso Wednesday = Suck A Lot Thursday = Suck Moreso Friday = Low Suck Saturday = Average Suck Sunday = Not Suck That's my forecast. I also predict about a 5 of 7 chance that I'll lose this week by a landslide.
-
I noticed. I have Rico Fata. But seriously, it's quite interesting to see how even with the most skilled players stacked on one team, it doesn't necessarily mean success in the hockey leagues. Edit: Don't know about the IR. I didn't even know we had one till I dropped one of my own two injuried guys.
-
Actually, I forgot Jackson got 2 touchdowns, and they (yahoo) are pretty much correct because I hadn't factored in defenses or return yards. So I lost. Edit: Fuck, I didn't read that McCareins got a touchdown on NFL.com. Shit, I must've missed that as well.

^ is correct. < is young.

I had a horrible week as well. Lost 4 of 10 and tied 2. However, I managed to only drop from 5th to 6th. So that's a bonus. Also, I picked up Raffi Torres, so I'll get a bunch of points from him every so often. That was a smart pick up. Hm.. No one's really ever going to trade in this league. Too much talent and too often a diamond in the rough just out there waiting for someone.
-
Tentatively, I think I've got the points down pat. These stats are unofficial, so please, my opponent of an awfully better record than I have, don't hate me if I'm off a lot. My Total Points = 79.82 Opponent's Total Points = 58.75 Meaning I'm winning. Yes, I'm as amazed as everyone else. Then again, when Brian Westbrook and Kelly Holcomb both get 3 touchdowns, well... It's kinda hard to put that offense up. Still though, if my opponent gets 21.07 points and .01 after that, he'll beat me. But that's an awful lot for a single guy to do. Looks like I win again. And since I've beaten a really awesome team, could I just remind Guerreros that next week, he might want to take me seriously. 6-5 baby, 6-5. I'm in the hunt for the playoffs~! WOO~!

^ only one of the suggested stuff that was on the listing that < actually purchased was the Gamecube. The others were given. SO

^ really didn't get it. < IS poor. But has a computer, plays an online game, owns a PS2, Gamecube, GBA, books, clothes, meals. Stuff like that.

I feel the need to ask if someone to send me one of these. Just cause.

Oh... Whatever. Still works. XG was a good RPG. Nothing like MAJOR, but nothing as bad as Chrono Cross. XS was worse than XG in a lot of regards.
-
.... Ugh. D'oh. Sorry about that... No one's bothered to ask, so I assumed people got the idea.

Oh? I had said games were still pending Baka. *checks to see latest on the games pending still* Indy's still winning so I've still got that point, Denver's winning so you've got that one, Green Bay's winning so I've got that point. Unless that chances, I've got 2 points to your 1. I was already up 2-1 before that. So it's 4-2. Unless Indy or Green Bay loses, then it'll become 3-3, then we wait for Dal vs. NE. Or if both lose than I've lost. Otherwise, I'm winning with the current games pending to be finalized. Pray for something to happen.

Team Angle Version 2 v. Team Brock: *1/2 ~ I can see this having about as much chance of getting past two stars as there'll be a 4 star match at SS. But when you've got the world's patheticest wrestler, the greenest newbie, and 500 pounds of flesh on one team, it's going to cause a car wreck. Especially if Team Brock has to carry the offense at any time for long periods of said time. Cena isn't bad, never cared for Holly's style (he's not bad though), and Bradshaw will be there for the clusterfuck quick elimination at least. So not bad, but it will blow. Team Austin v. Team Bischoff: **1/2 ~ Funny how SD has the better roster, but the weaker workrate teams heading into SS. I think that this will be a much better showing just because you have guys who can actually entertain as they'll have purpose in this tag team match up. The Dudleys aren't bad in a tag team environment (their gimmick on the other hand...) so they'll do the tag team offense, Shawn's can at least play the face in peril or make the Screwjob, Jericho will probably be carrying a lot, X can at least do stuff in a match like this because he's a tag wrestler, Booker T can at least get the crowd jacked for him getting the hot tag, Rob Van Dam can also be the face in peril and spot monkey, Mark Henry can well just be there and make it seem like they don't need a team, and Batista can just be the bad ass. Undertaker v. Vince McMahon: * ~ It's a Buried Alive Match. It's Vince F'N McMahon again. Need I say more? Well, I can at least tolerate Taker. That's about it. Match will be awful, but at least it might entertain. Goldberg/HHH: ** ~ Ok, HHH hasn't been wrestling for a whole month (unless it's been at house shows, and I don't know about that). If he hasn't, this will BOMB, and if he has, it'll be trashy at best. I don't think HHH will win though. Kane/Shane: * ~ Ok, their last match was a joke. This time? It'll be worse. I give it a star, because I don't DUD, and maybe because I'm hoping this match won't be as bad as it can get. Molly/Lita: * ~ Lita NEVER should've been challenging for the Belt. I know, it's the Woman's Championship, who gives a fuck? But come on, I know they want to change it up from Trish, but LITA??? Lita's a very sloppy spot monkey. If Gail Kim doesn't get another shot, why the hell is Lita? Tajiri/Noble: **1/2 given time. If opener/little time *1/2. If no clusterfuck: ***1/2 ~ As much as I like cruiserweights, I'm not sure if this will come off as anything more than a clusterfuck. Seriously, I see Tajiri's gang getting involved, Rey, and probably Ultimo. If it's not, it probably will be match of the night. Which doesn't really say much. Bashams/Guerreros: **3/4 ~ Probably the only other match I could see getting anywhere near ***. Problem is, this will set up the Guerrero feud, so that in its self will knock this match. And considering the Bashams aren't all that as a tag team, it's really going to be hard to say whether this'll be a decent match. Well, this one (Survivor Series) will suck.
