Sometimes for us that do play online games, we sorta get wrapped up in adventuring when we do the absurd times. At least when it happens to me, I just keep on thinking "oh, I'll join this group and do this quest, its only like what? 20 minutes." Its that mentality of "only" that gets people, I think. Most I've ever done of playing online though is like 10 hours. Had a good fellow and we went through a lot of quests.

Untl the final game in which you lost. Yes, that will be changed for the upcoming season.

All I have to do as a hockey fan is look at our situation with Mike Comrie to know how badly the whole system fucked. And the reason we'd need a cap is because we can't fix the damn arbitration system if there is some team that goes of out of the way to pay these guys third tier players, first tier money. If the Rangers go out and pay a third tier player first tier money it won't matter what arbitration system is in place, it will still result back in us ending up right were we started. BTW, why is the NHL the only league with arbitration? That doesn't make any sense at all. Why is it our sport needs it? I mean, I don't see the reasoning for us being the only ones. There is no other resource besides the gate for the NHL to pay out salaries. Each team makes only 3 million on TV contracts, only hold 20000 for attendance for 80 games a season, and with no other way to get money; you expect teams not to increase ticket prices along with salaries? We're tired of having the high paying teams such as the Rangers, the Red Wings, the Avs offer huge contracts to the best players and then have to make due with third tier talents playing as good as first. There's just no way in hell. Yes, the Red Wings, Avs, and Rangers only agree with this because their owners are greedy bastards who get more money that way. For the Edmonton Oilers' 19 owners, this is the only chance for making the team have a chance of not leaving town. How can you field a team, when the contracts are raised above and beyond what you can pay because of what 3-6 teams do? It basically kills nearly all the small market teams (which basically means all Canadian teams except for Toronto).

Head To Head League will return.

Yeah Kahran, the NHLPA might as well just said "ok, fuck, we lost". For them to admit they were willing to take a cap, after going on all year about not taking it and all the other stuff (like leaving for Europe to play), the backlash will be huge by fans. That Pandora's box the PA opened is gonna be one that will haunt them for quite some time.

I'd like to know what Al thinks about the PA's sudden change of stance. As for the deal to save the season, it won't happen. This is only the first step on the negotiating table. There's still too much else that needs to be discussed to save the season. So I think if any deal happens, it happens for next season.

With ESPN 2K5 out, we here at Smartmarks have decided to wage war against each other in brutal fashion for the glory of being known as the best damned football gamer out there. Currently there is an XBox League open: Name: Smartmarks Password: Smartmarks We are still trying to set up a PS2 League at this time. If you wish to participate in the PS2 League, drop a line here. If you are in the XBox league, leave your tag here. ...I wish to participate in the PS2 league, but I'm not sure when I'll get the game. Might be soon, might be later. Depends.

Al, that salary cut would only be gone for about three years tops, and we'd be right back to where the NHL started all over again. And would it really kill the NHL to have a roaming salary cap? I honestly believe it wouldn't've killed to at least try the system and at least see if it works. Just make damn sure that the owners have to declare all financial gains to an independent money managing person and what's the harm? It seems to be working for two leagues. As I said before, I don't agree with either side, as both have pretty much now alienated everyone out there for hockey fans, but I don't see how the salary cap would've "hurt" anything. Besides the fact that it limits owners spending, but also makes sure they actually have to spend cash. However when your team is the Edmonton Oilers, things like that really don't matter to me.

Petey Williams crowned EWR Champion in Quebec City
Lightning Flik replied to JST's topic in General Wrestling
Yes, Vigo. That apparently is the real EWR Championship Belt. Looks weird, doesn't it? -
Why do comic creator continually create arcs around a person's death and then not proceed to leave said character dead. I mean, I understand that people enjoy characters that have been around for quite a while, but come on. If you kill someone off, they should stay dead. I mean, all I see nowadays is some storyline arc about someone dying, then "poof"! Reset the clocks because they aren't dead now! Yes, I know its a tactical ploy to get more people to read the comics, but come on. Nearly everyone in comics who was dead is alive. Its one of main reason I can't stand reading comics. Keep with the fucking continuity. Why do they also reset the series? Instead of reseting the clock, how about they draw the series up to a close. Nothing that can't allow a revive of the series later on, but how about you let the character fade into the background for awhile, have something new take its place, and then when you get a chance, bring back the old series (although added time, plot happenings, changes in characters, new characters and stuffy). Speaking of which, why don't they try bringing out new comics? You know, instead of rehashing the same series over and over again. Yeah, I know. People have a hard time accepting new stuff, but I think the problem is that they only half ass the storylines and unless people support the half assing, they don't bother continuing with the new comic.

Actually, I was a diehard. I just got tired of the damn continuity crashing and absolute stupidity of stretching out a story longer than it should be. Its stupid that they fuck with continuity and important events all for the sake of getting a chance to write that past event that has already happened. Or just because they want to play out a scene that literially can and has destroyed a comics worth (The Clone Saga). I guess I'm just pissed that I went to mangas, and I can get a little of everything, and it all be a different experience each time. Sure, the formulas might be the same because of the genre, but its still a different tale each time. And some of it may not be good, but it still isn't the exact same thing as I read previously. Whereas all I see in comics these days is the same story, but told in a "revolutionary" way that was "never" been done before in that comic's history. But its still the same stories that have been told, its still the same characters with little to no depth added to their character unless a huge storyline that spans nearly a year comes along, and its never anything new.

Barring a terrible injury, Eddy J should have about four or five seasons left in him. Sorry(?) Aw sonuva... ...can I just create a new guy now? I'm tired of waiting! And I don't wanna kill off Eddy. Kudasai?
-
for PS1 Emulation go here: http://www.epsxe.com/ Best one out there, nearly all game play for it. If you need any help getting it running, let me know. Hm... I don't suppose anyone has some PS Isos would they?
-
Evo, is it likely Eddy J will retire after this season?
-
Ah, but you see, the player's know that their plan ain't gonna work. Why? Because the owners can shift it in such a way to actually make it fail. Hence why they won't attempt it, even if the owners don't try causing it to fail. Not defending the PA (fuck'em, honestly), but its their mentality.

"Basic Instinct" WM 21 Commercial
Lightning Flik replied to UseTheSledgehammerUh's topic in The WWE Folder
Whoever is coming up with these commercials is actually making them really good. And Christian stole this one for me. I'm sorry, he was the greatest one there. -
Funny shit from the geek convention.
Lightning Flik replied to CheesalaIsGood's topic in General Chat
Can I just say that I never wanna go to conventions if people dress up bad? I mean dear God, only dress up if you are gonna be creative and actually make it look good! -
It's Tom's B-Day!

I'm just too fucking stunned for words on both fronts. Geezus, I'm just waiting for them to make another attempt at buying out Square (but now SquareEnix). I mean, my God, this is just nuts.
-
Hm... Up here in Canada, the new show is still running on YTV. Last I checked anyways. Although it degraded in quality quickly. And I know I'm supposed to put up a list of episodes, but I can't honstly remember names, and I'm not good with explanations, so you'll have to wait till I get the names people.

Why does the Titans need a new QB if McNair retires? I thought Volek would do just fine with the helm the few times he had to step up to the plate.

It shows what Suik 1 and Suik 2 were. Suik 3 is the ugly child.

London, Kidman, Heidenreich, Taker(...?), Cena, and Funaki. And Funaki's looks pretty lifelike actually. Except him being as tall as Cena.

For the people whinning and moaning about "oh its not serious, people won't like this", can you shut up? I mean God forbid they actually do something entertaining and fun commercial that I'll actually remember. Instead of just throwing around the serious old commercials that I don't even recall. Plus, its in Hollywood. They've successfully tied the commerical with where its gonna be held. I mean, sure I would like serious commercials as well, but these funny ones are just as great as well. Also, HHH really did look like a natural doing that Braveheart spoof. This is forcing me to actually admit "hey, if he had a leading role in a movie, I'd tempt myself to watch it."

Which doesn't help when the other person is as slow as well! But yeah. Madness draft will be revamped for the following season.
