Doesn't SOMEONE want Carter? Come on... You know you want him.
-
Well, I won my match up. 7-2 bitches. Five game winning streak. FEAR ME!!! Edit: For those of you wondering how I'm so sure, here's how I know. 3.5 Baltimore at N.Y. Jets - Baltimore need 4pts to get the spread. 20-17 Chicago at Tennessee 6.5 - Chicago beat Tennesse 19-17. 1.5 Seattle at St. Louis - St. Louis won. And since there are only two games left, I CAN NOT LOSE!

I know it is early in the season, but Vince Carter is on the trading block.

Forbes Magazine Says NHL Owners Overstated Losses
Lightning Flik replied to EVIL~! alkeiper's topic in Sports
I don't think the owners are nearly as in the wrong as everyone's now making them out to be. Regardless of this, the players are still seen as barely willing to budge from the status quo, and aren't going to get much positive public opinion out of it. I'd just like to point to the above as the reason why I don't accept Forbes' as "more reliable". That is all. Not saying I'd agree with the owners, just disputing the fact that Forbes hearsay isn't any better unless they have the numbers in front of them. Although, the league does need to get off its ass and just hand the damn numbers over to an independant group. -
Ok... Even I'm wondering, is his ankle really that freaking big? Or did Angle accidently fuck up Show?

I couldn't find the old thread so shut up about it, ok? This is the new Rumble Roses thread. Deal with it. This is spoiler full, hence all is spoiler text. Read at own risk. So there you have some insights into the game. Rumble Roses drops: Tuesday, November 9 For Japan: February 2005 ...why do I have the feeling we are so going to get fucked over in terms of everything? Please talk about the game in here instead of talking about it in the SD vs. RAW thread.

What I think they should do is make a wrestling game that has no attatchments to any wrestilng organization. That alone would improve the game, simply because you then can't bitch about the roster not being all there.

Raw to return to the "HHH Rules Everyone" Format?
Lightning Flik replied to JasonX's topic in The WWE Folder
Ok, I haven't been watching WWE for awhile now, so I assumed it wasn't absolute control. So yeah, my plan backfires. -
Raw to return to the "HHH Rules Everyone" Format?
Lightning Flik replied to JasonX's topic in The WWE Folder
I'm quite sure that somewhere along the way, Bischoff would've stated that what they plan happens each week, is only for each week. Otherwise the whole HHH's team winning and then going for title matches are shot down easily and make the whole point of the match worthless. -
Raw to return to the "HHH Rules Everyone" Format?
Lightning Flik replied to JasonX's topic in The WWE Folder
Please explain to me how he has to help HHH? Each person gets to manage RAW for one week on the winning team. All he has to do to have his title shot is for his team to win. Sure it is Hunter's team, but the stipulation applies to the winning team. Hence, they all can screw HHH over and eat their cake too. Well, if they blatantly screw Hunter over and let him get beaten, do you not think he'll use his week of power to get back at them ? But wouldn't the other three use their powers to fuck over HHH too? They could turn around and use that same power against him. Hence, HHH's threat means notta. -
Raw to return to the "HHH Rules Everyone" Format?
Lightning Flik replied to JasonX's topic in The WWE Folder
Before I respond to this, I'm going to respond to HTQ by saying I hadn't thought about that scenario and that seems as, if not more so, plausable than mine. ...now then onto Curry. How the hell does that have holes in it? Please explain to me how he has to help HHH? Each person gets to manage RAW for one week on the winning team. All he has to do to have his title shot is for his team to win. Sure it is Hunter's team, but the stipulation applies to the winning team. Hence, they all can screw HHH over and eat their cake too. -
...ok, apparently you didn't undestand. I'm saying you actually have to read the damn review to see that the ratings don't match up with what actually was presented. And I'll backtrack from saying all reviews because you are right, it isn't all of them. But dammit, if you are going to use a rating system, use one that fits your critea of reviews. Giving a game a "Perfect" score should mean that it isn't just a "good" game, but an awesome one that you must have. I'm not saying that these 70 or less actually suck. I'm saying this is what the reviews protray for their review scores. And Andrew, let's drop this. This thread isn't for this and I'm sorry for derailing the topic (as this was my fault). ...and how come NO one has at least palyed this game? Geezus...

Are you sure about that nl? I mean, Miami might find a way to lose on the bye week. I mean, it IS possible. Quiet, you. Heh... My fav team's Atlanta. And that means the offense relies solely on Vick's shoulders (literially) and the defense. Edit: So I'm not much better than you. Except that my team... You know, wins. Somehow.

Raw to return to the "HHH Rules Everyone" Format?
Lightning Flik replied to JasonX's topic in The WWE Folder
Considering he's letting it be protrayed that his own team is gunning his ass, I'd say yes. And it wouldn't make any sense for them to make sure that he stays in the match at all. Why? All of his team mates want to gun him. If you are going to gun him, you have to make sure you can justifiably stand up on your own. Having HHH there means that you don't stand at his level, since HHH is the Cerebral Assassin and can almost always get the job done. By hanging him Saving him at the last second wouldn't be more logical. If everyone of them is gunning him, then they'd want to humiliate him and make him be paranoid by the fact that they didn't need him at all to win the match and that by beating the opposition, they are all on his level (since the opposing guys are Main Event Calibre, except Maven, but I expect him gone before or after Hunter). I can only see possibly Batista helping him, as I doubt either Snitsky or Edge would bother helping the guy they will be facing later on for a title shot. I mean, seriously, would you help the guy you are going to later face? I know sure as hell I wouldn't. It isn't illogical for them to lose the guy if the WWE seriously wishes to push the guys as gunning HHH. Coinsidering whoever gets first shot at HHH will want him to be softened up. -
I was expecting other white stuff around you Color me disappointed ...uh, hello. If you were expecting stuff of the sexual nature, I must remind you I'm still a virgin and lack the adequate skills to seduce the womankind, although I can flirt with any girl enough to make them my friend easily. If you were expecting other white stuff, meh... Sorry to disappoint you. For a second, I thought I was in LSD... Bwahahahaha! YES! MY EVIL PLAN WORKED ON SOMEONE!!! ... I did not have an evil plan, I was sleepy and just fucked up. Honest...

Raw to return to the "HHH Rules Everyone" Format?
Lightning Flik replied to JasonX's topic in The WWE Folder
uh... *checks the match* Shit, I thought it was 5 on 5 for some reason. But actually, his Superman image doesn't take a blow if his team basically hangs his ass out to dry in the tag match. He can go for like 10 minutes and then be pinned. -
You see... 70-79 wouldn't be bad if that hadn't become the standard bearer of "meh, it's ok" for every fucking review. How review scores work nowadays in video gaming review: Lower than 70% mean it ain't worth looking at, highly flawed. 70-79% means it is worth considering for a rental. 80-85% means it is actually worth your rental possible rental. 85-90% means it is worth considering a perchase. 90-95% means it is highly worth purchasing. 95%+ means if you don't own it, there is something wrong with you. That is a major reason why if I ever do plan to do my own reviews of games, I will not use that damned rating systems of % or score, or crap. It's totally fucked up.

Raw to return to the "HHH Rules Everyone" Format?
Lightning Flik replied to JasonX's topic in The WWE Folder
If you go with my way, Hunter has to have his fate decided by FOUR other people. If you were Hunter and you had to let your team finish on the sidelines, wouldn't you go paranoid, realizing that perhaps the only guy on your team not possibly gunning your title is Batista (although, we all know he'd go after it). Not only that but it builds up these people to be your contenders. Hell, it at least makes Snitsky credible for a match on RAW at least. -
Raw to return to the "HHH Rules Everyone" Format?
Lightning Flik replied to JasonX's topic in The WWE Folder
Since every single one of them is gunning Hunter, perhaps they all won't let him tag out. Ever consider that? I mean, what better way to show up that they are gunning him than to leave him to his own demise? Although, I would only have this after Maven gets pinned first. I guess I should've said at least one face would've left. -
Minnesota (La Parka Marka 5-3) at Green Bay (Vitiman X 6-2) GAME OF THE WEEK Be nice to him. He just got punked out in LSD for asking about his wife's hair. And in his defense, I didn't post ind. matchups until this morning because I had other real-life stuff to do and didn't post it with this week's picks. I just did that to highlight the game of the week.

Raw to return to the "HHH Rules Everyone" Format?
Lightning Flik replied to JasonX's topic in The WWE Folder
HHH's team IS cohesive. They all are gunning HHH's title. I can honestly foresee HHH being the FIRST one out. ...now before everyone goes off bitching about how HHH would never let a thing like that happen. Hear me out. So we have everyone else battle it out, and then finally it is down to (for fantasy booking sake) RKO and Edge. It looks like RKO has it won but Flair distracts the ref, while HHH comes from out of the crowd with the mighty sledgehammer to blast RKO and have Edge pin HHH. Why would such a thing happen? Because HHH can then flaunt to every single one of his own team that they OWE HHH for the win and HHH can taunt every single one of them in the following RAW after the PPV and states that since they owe him, they won't battle him for the title. Make it so that HHH looks so desperate to have his own team win and make them owe him, thinking it might get him off the hook, but instead it still backfires in his face and everyone of them guns him. Although, I'd have in the final week before HHH gets his week, Batista vs. HHH and Batista beat HHH. Of course this would lead to HHH going WTF at Batista and Batista just tells HHH to cool it, he just figured HHH wouldn't take him seriously enough and so he'd at least get the World Title once. So we get the rematch at the RAW PPV, because HHH would want the PPV match, but Batista still wins and just kicks the living shit out of HHH to cement his face turn!!! ...at least that's how I'd book it. -

Thank ya. Sadly, that whole chairshot was more effective than I ever was in the SWF/OAOAST. I would say my entire e-fedding career, but I actually had a World Title shot once a long time ago... Anywoo, I'll take a second letter, S. And I must say that I hope someone signs me from Free Agency. I still provide a mean bat.

Hm... Me vs. starvenger... I must win at all costs. *looks at matchups differences, and then winces* I have a feeling though, that ain't happening.
