200GB is good and all but 100 hours to beat a game? WHAT THE FUCK?!? Spending that long to beat a game is just tiring. I would get bored of it midway. See Vice City as an example of a game you get sick of playing before you finish beating it. Not every game has to be be like FFX-2. I was more speaking of an RPG standpoint... Not any other game.

Just make the stupid mis-picks. Everyone did that last year. BTW, I'm setting the picks up right now. Madness picks have been done up, and the order and official start of the draft should be in about 20 minutes. Also you have a 12 hour window to make a pick from the time someone makes a pick. If you don't, you forfeit your pick until the end of the draft. Unless you specifically PM me and explain why you can't make it. As well, I'll have a thing stating what the last pick was. You'll see that in my post as well.

Even though it is only a rumor, and since I didn't want to create a new topic for a rumor, I just thought I'd bump this to display this info on the PS3. A 200 GB disk is being used as the standard for the PS3? Just to put that into perspective, the whole collection of anything named MegaMan or Final Fantasy could be put onto the disk. With 200GBs of space, I would expect the best in visuals and sound. Hell, I expect huge games then that take 100 hours to beat minimum... Of course nothing is confirmed, but for a 200GB disk, the PS3 would have to be super powerful to read it. What is your take on this information?

Well first I need to know if we wish to do it the way last year. Second, I still need one more person to join the league. If both conditions are met, I'll do it the old way.

So why, exactly, do we have a time limit for our picks? My apologizes for not explaining. It's going to be done in an AIM. Hence why we have a specific time for the draft, unlike last year where we just got people and started making picks. Unless everyone wants to do what we did last year for choosing picks, which I wouldn't mind doing at all.

Why are you even putting Green up? It's between Collins and Palmer. Houston has allowed 76 pts. 35.05 in fantasy points (in the TSM Keeper League) and not really ranked anywhere to being worth on a team. 6 sacks and 2 INTs. Pittsburgh has allowed 48 pts. 51.90 in fantasy points (in the TSM Keeper League) and has 8 sacks, 4 INTs. Looking at it like that, and seeing the rest of the stats, I would rather go with Collins.

As well I figured that while I'm on break from class, I might as well mention these here, so everyone can kill me for them later: 1) For the four new people joining our league and the two teams that did not keeper, I'm officially declaring your "rounds" as one single round known as "Madness Round". In this round it is possible to end up with first and last pick, back to back picks, or some variation. Since this is also promoted as "Madness", each drafter will be picked out of the Magical Sorting Hat on the day of the draft. 2) Speaking of the draft... October 8th at 5pm MST (7pm EST) is the tentative draft date. So get prepared. Yeah, earlier, but hey. I never liked waiting these things out. Again, it's tentative so it might change. It'll also be done on AIM, because we all loved it offline last year. 3) To slow down on free agency pick ups, I'm going to smack everyone hard. How? Waivers will last for two whole weeks if I can manage it. So while you may still pick up a sleeper and you've got the 14th waiver choice, your chances of picking up the sleeper is slim to none. If I can't get it for two weeks, I'm quite sure I can get it to at least a week in Yahoo. 4) The playoffs will remain as the Elite 6 gain a playoff spot for a chance to become NBA Fantasy Champion. Just because we've moved up to 18, I do not at this time see the need to increase the playoff spots. That's about all I have to say on the current events. Somethings I'm thinking about already for next year's keeper league that I'll share with you: 1) I'm currently looking into having the bottom teams that do not make the consolidation playoffs be put into a ratio related draw to claim the top draft spot. Just because we've now moved up from 16 to 18. So just because you tank your team in the final stretch of the regular season to claim the best spot, will you necessarily get the draft spot. I'm currently thinking of having the bottom two spots get a 25% chance of getting the top draft spot, followed with the 3rd and 4th from the bottom at 15%, the 5th from the bottom with 7% chance, and the 6th spot from the bottom a 3% chance of claiming the draft spot. Although, the figures are just for show, I'll figure it out later on how the calculation will work out. 2) I'm looking into getting away from Yahoo after this coming season, as I would prefer head to head matchups that are won weekly. I don't have a specific site in mind for the move as of yet, but there is a prospect that might work. Again, I have to look into it first. That's about all that's on my mind. Feast and enjoy.
