You aren't getting a partial season. Both sides have basically agreed "we aren't discussing this, and frankly we aren't going to be reasonable about it". They had ten years to come up with something from last time. I think they just both bought themselves times to make enough money to do this lockout and really just go "fuck the love of the game". And yes, I stated that I agree with the owners on salary cap only. Why? Because if there isn't one, I'll lose my Edmonton Oilers in about 10, maybe 20 if we get a Cup, years.That's the only reason why I want a salary cap. I want to keep my team and be able to perform.

Rrrsh, Highland just wants a good hockey team to move to his city with great owners and smart businessmen. Not like what happened with the Carolina Hurricanes.

Also, if you really want to get technical treb, the Avs success was built off of what Quebec HAD going for it. It could've been their success, and probably would've been as they only had to add the pieces; most of the pieces were locked in on contracts that were feesable. Also, if you do realize that my Edmonton Oilers have the EXACT same building stats (almost) and attendance figures at the same time; which still have made our team a viable franchise. So I don't buy that the Jets wouldn't have been able to produce. And yes, the season after the Jets, we have higher attendance stats, but that was because that year the Edmonton Oilers refurbished their stadium for a larger crowd capacity.

They wanted the NBA style of advertisements and endorsement deals and stuff being thrown their way that would make the league better overall financially and improve their image. Having an NBA guy was supposed to do that or so they thought. In actual real life, all Bettman has done is downgrade the product known as NHL further into obscurity and actually done a great job of burying it. Not him alone as the NHLPA has done its fair share.

Cean, I'd recommend getting rid of Driver. Green Bay's mostly going to be a running team, so most likely Favre's only going to be throwing for 2 TDs in most cases. Or at least I'm guessing.

Bettman had bullshit reasons for Nordiques and Jets moving, as the Jets always had good attendance and in their last year looked poised for a shot at having a good run at the Cup in a few years. Hell, after the move the Manitoba government had announced that they had reached an tentative agreement that they would build the Jets a new stadium (which I believe was built regardless, correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm quite sure I'm right), and so Manitoba nearly rioted when they heard this. As for the Nordiques, they were moved as Bettman had literially said he wished for them to be in a better market as he felt the Nordiques were taking away from Montreal and vice versa. Montreal kept their team since it had more prestege. Nord fans almost rioted after Colorado Avs won the Cup the very following year.

Both looked pretty good out there this past week but neither are as dependable as Favre for fantasy points, and I was originally planning to go with Harrington in week 2 after getting Plummer, but with Rogers out, it's a week by week decision now. I'll see about Tatum Bell, but I'll have to figure out who I'd drop and last I looked, I didn't really have anyone to drop. Oh and guys, remember this: ours IS a Keeper League, so please don't drop like a stud if he gets hurt. There should be an IL option for you if a person is injuried.

Actually, if you think that was one sided, I asked HarleyQuinn what it would take to get Griffin. He said he'll do Griffin and Plummer for Favre. So I set it up and it was done. Hence why it happened, although I really didn't want to give up Favre. So if you want to find someone to blame, talk to HarleyQuinn. And yes, dammit. I want to win for sure. Hence why I'm making damn sure I do what I can to make my team win. Besides, since Bennett is down, I had absolutely no choice.

Weee!!! I beat Gibbs Disciple with no second RB in TSM Keeper League, I beat Patriots thanks to a poor outing by the Panthers in Green Bay, and my game against Pepsi Plunge went over easy in COGG Keeper League. Also first trade of the TSM Keeper League was made today as Crimson Storm's Brett Favre has been traded to Gotham Jokers for Quentin Griffin and Jake Plummer.

I start this season off well as I'm now 1-0. Thank you Green Bay for not letting me down.

And I thank the Panthers for playing poorly and the Green Bay Packers for giving me tons of points. Good game to start with, but later in the game it was pretty dull. Still though, definitely better than RAW. Edit: Also, great job by Packers defense who look very strong.

And what the fuck was that?! Green Bay why would you do this to me!? You give Muhammad like 10 in fantasy pts and now make me worried about the game I thought I had won. 24-14 Packers after like a 30 yard pass TD by Delhomme to Muhammad btw. Right after Smith got hurt.

And it's looking like Green Bay's defense is damn good. And unless Smith has a breakout game, I've won all my first week games in every league I'm in, except WDI. Hm.. Bad punt.

Hey Vitamin X. It works. 17-7 and Ahman Green's back in and hopefully he gets me more points. And if they hold Steve Smith to less than 20 fantasy points, I also win my game against Pawtucket Patriots in the Meat Madness League. GO PACKERS GO!
