Problem was, I'd be getting hit with cap penalties. It wasn't as big of a deal as I thought, I ended up with a decent team.

Please explain to me how Gretzky was overrated. Being overhyped by the media, then yes. Overrated as a player, no.

Roster Update for WWE Day of Reckoning
Lightning Flik replied to DangerousDamon's topic in Video Games
I was about to make that complaint. I know it seems silly, since they don't do much, but if they've got LANCE STORM, they should have Doug and Danny Basham. -
After going 15-1 with my Pittsburgh Steelers and defeating the Colts, Texans and then finally the Vikings to win the Super Bowl last season, I ran into a huge problem during the offseason. You see, I had gotten Kurt Warner from the Giants from the Giants for Ben Roethlisberger. Problem was, I forgot to restruture Warner's contract and found myself in a hole as he wanted almost 40 million over a five year period. Needless to say, I couldn't afford that. Worse yet, my favorite target, Plaxico Buress wanted 40 million as well over a 7 year period. Once again, I was unable to pay this as I only had 5 million for cap space. I also lost Townsend for my passing defense and someone else who I can't remember because they wanted 25 million over 3 seasons. Needless to say, I didn't have the cash to sign all of them. So I did what any GM in my position would do. Dump them all and aquire the best draft picks I could. I striped my team of its fantasticness for an o-line by trading away Alan Fanaeca to the Oakland Raiders for the #1 Overall Draft pick in the 2005 draft; to which I picked the best QB in the draft, pocket passer Hubert Phelps from North Carolina St. I then made trades to aquire some more depth in positions I didn't have the depth in, and also got 3 more draft picks (I had 10 in total). So now my team is pretty mediocre, I've got the toughest schedule this season after winning the super bowl, and I have a rookie QB leading the charge. This will definitely be an interesting season. Oh and my mission for this year's contract is to make the playoffs. Fun stuff...

Roster Update for WWE Day of Reckoning

He's still the WWE Champion. He should be there. -
Eli Manning getting a $20 million dollars in bonuses. I don't think anyone should have that much money available to him for bonuses. Especially considering the fact that there's a good chance he might start for the Giants and the bonuses are easily attainable.

Roster Update for WWE Day of Reckoning

So the current Smackdown Champion is not on the list? WTF?! That's rediculous. The current Smackdown Tag Team Champions as well not on the list? As well as the current Raw Tag Team Champions? There are just so many wrongs here. -
YES! DAMMIT YES!!! I'M MOVING ON! GO PHILLY GO!
-
See...now people think there are rules for posting their lists! It's Raven's Rules! What about me? It was a joke by me people. Get over it. Put the ROMs up if you want to. I don't really care. Fuck, since when did I become the Overlord of the VG&T Folder?

Oilers: Overrated - Doug Weight. The guy had some great seasons point wise with us, but for the playoffs he never really showed that he could help us as a leader. Underrated - Grant Fuhr. A lot of people still consider him not to be that good because of his stats, but when the Oilers needed him to be there for them, he made key stops.

That's just nuts. So Colorado's paying all Walker's 04 and part of his 05 salary? That trade doesn't make any sense. At least to me.
-
I hate you Americans... Always getting stuff so cheap. Still... $17 is steep... I guess I'll check out BAKA (otaku fan club thingy) first and see if I can get them for less than that. Heard you should be able to get them cheaper there.
-
Oh, you are going to hate me for all the quoting I'm about to do. If Flik said that in his original post, he would have come to his senses and edited it out. Besides, I played them on my SNES, anyway. I had editted that stuff out becuase it was just a dumbass joke that I fucked up because I wasn't feeling particularly humorous, but I hate to bring other people down. So, if they'd have had the time, money, etc....it would have been more like Xenosaga? Actually, it might've been a hell of a lot better game. That and maybe the graphics wouldn't look mucky. Yes, I said they look mucky. That's one of my biggest strikes against the game. It's graphics. If Monolith itself was doing it though, I'd agree with your statement, Andrew. Still Square wouldn't have been... Wait, still might've happened. Nevermind. Can't predict what neverwas. I'm almost tempted to say so after the debacle called Xenosaga. I'm really glad I didn't pay for that game. I'd like to disagree with the main characters having the best relationship in RPGs. I can name a couple of RPG right off the top of my head that can compete with Xenogears: Lufia 2: The Rise of The Sinistrals, Phantasy Star 4, and Disgaea: Hour Of Darkness. Yes, Disgaea is a comedy, but still, the comedy throughout the game can only work if the characters are able to be insync with each other. Sorry Star Ocean. I'm with Andrew on this one. Xenogears never set the bar with this one. A few RPGs start out with not the "save the world quest" but something minor before exploding into the really huge "must save the world". Examples of games doing this before Xenogears: Chrono Trigger (remember, until you find out about Lavos, you were only changing the past because you wished to better the future), Grandia (all Justin is out to do is to see the world, not save it), and I'll finish off with Alundra (just needed to save a village if I remember, that certainly isn't saving the world). Wow... Me and Andrew share a lot of opinions on the game. I can't really add anything to the above. Basically states why I consider it a great, well I guess great is top 10 material, but at least good. I will agree with Star Ocean 3 here. The soundtrack of Xenogears is probably one of my top 5 soundtracks for RPGs. There shouldn't be much debate about that there. *BUZZ* Try Again.. No way Earthbound is #9. And I also call foul for not having the original Super Mario RPG somewhere on that list. I cant really post a favorite RPG list for any console since I generally don't like RPGs, but Earthbound and Mario RPG were a couple of my favorite games on the SNES. Yes, Earthbound is 9. And you can't call foul on Super Mario RPG not being on the list. I already said, I had a bitch of a time making that list for SNES. As a lot were clost calls. Especially when you got near the end. And if I never said that, I say that now. ...I'm more amazed people aren't on my ass for the #1 game. I thought for sure people would be on me for it.

Shining Force 3 was actually made into three parts (like .hack). What was brought over here was in fact only Part One. Apparently Sega figured the rest of the game wouldn't sell. And Shining Force 3 as a whole (or so I've heard) is actually much better.

...I would've thought the A Ending didn't leave any room for a sequel. Must go beat VP now.
-
Xenogears wasn't a completed game. That's why it is incredibly poorly made. The second disc is actually just a cop out from lack of time.
-
Star Ocean, I don't really see how they could make a VP2. I would love to see it, but I honestly don't see how (if you beat the game with the A+ ending you'll know why I say this).
-
Hm... That's a new reason. I've never heard of anyone thinking that the FF8 gameplay was that great. I didn't care for the junction system because it made me never use magic on the basis that it would cripple myself. And really when you got right down to it, you could practically describe the context of battles by Disc. Disc 1 - GFs Disc 2 - Weapons Disc 3 - GFs Disc 4 - Weapons (with Aura being the only freaking spell I'd use) That's all there was to the battle system for me. ...don't get me even started on how I beat the game in under 25 hours, with only one character above level 30 (Squall - 42). That just even cheapened the game for me more so, becuase there was no real investment made into the game. I see my investment made by getting levels, and so the higher the levels are, the more I feel that I've actually put in the game. What pisses me off even more, were there was no point to the levels because all you had to do was junction a better spell at 100 and it solved leveling for you.

Having watched that, I must say that I will never be more impressed by something in a vs. match again like that. At least not in a long time as that was just absolutely incredible.

Get back to me when Warner (should) get injured or retires in the next year. That was a crazy trade. Have a laugh at my expense. Guess which idiot GM forgot to restructure Warner's contract before the end of the year and also traded away Tommy Maddox for a draft pick earlier in the year. If you guessed me, then by GOD you are right. Warner wants to pay him 38.71 million over 7 season. Burress wants the same almost. I don't think either guy is worth that much. Yet if I don't sign them, I'll have no starting QB now, unless I want to start my 58 rating backup, I lose one of my two starting WRs, and the guy I always took to the house for my passing yards. If I didn't have my created running back, Edward James (who rushed for 2000+ yards, and was went from 78 to 88 after this season because of my weakass schedule), I'd be crying about how much shitter my team has become. Then again, James probably won't do shit for all next season if I don't get a QB and WR, I'll just be fucked over after this season. I wanted to use this on someone else, but I think this picture is very appropriate on me. *hangs head in shame* My 15-1-0 season will probably be three times the amount of wins I'm going to get next season(s)... It's just not fair.

Well, actually, I was asking if it was ok price. I just picked Love Hina because I liked the anime and heard the manga was much better. Since Love Hina is there, I guess I could probably find anything. Although, I'd probably pick up Love Hina first, since it is the first anime that I've watch fully, and since it was great (to me) and I hear the manga is ten times better, it should probably be my first. My biggest problem is that now that I'm on a budget because of a debacle with student finance (that student finance caused), if I ever do get that much cash, I wish to know if paying $16-$17 would be worth the purchase. Edit: BTW, I just added the above to clarify.
-
I revitalized my current franchise run of the Steelers by trading away Roe for Warner. ...yes, I traded away a quality rookie QB for an aging QB that's unproven. I'm 15-1, just beat the Colts, and am in my Conference Championship. So having Warner helped.
-
...I guess I should've included the fact that I checked to see if local Chapters actually carried the mangas, since I can't do online purchasing. Edit: For 16$ is it worth the purchase?

...actually, if he wants to make sure he's still "game" ready, he could go to the CFL and sign with a CFL team. At least, I'd like to see him do that.
