Just to add, that second paragraph in the actual review just comes off as being a smart-ass and does nothing but incite anyone who likes it or Zelda because of how its worded. It probably never meant to come off like that (however, considering what someone said in defense...) but it really does come off that way and I could see why people would take offense to the review as a whole when you take that paragraph and then the above.

I just found out that my folks had been joking to me about not being able to get a Wii because of Christmas and were generally anticipating me to bring it home so they could play. To put this into perspective: 1) My father hasn't played a console game since Final Fantasy IV. 2) My mother has NEVER liked gaming and is interested. 3) I'm still wondering why I actually let my concious win over my greedy need to own one. Wonder when I'll get my Wii... I'm being told next week might be a shipment, maybe only one more shipment. No one knows. Hell I've been told there's a high possibility that they might not release anymore till after Christmas.

No, it doesn't for the most part. I had two winnings seasons. In the kkk Bowl I, I was 9-6, in the kkk Bowl II, I was 11-4 (I think). So I'm like 20-9 before this season. Now, I'm 22-16 and just keep digging my own ditch. Then again, I haven't been able to follow the NFL as well as I did in the first two seasons which might be the reason I'm sucking. Or it could be the fact that this season's been absolutely unpredictable. Either or. Hey, he's tied w/ me for the worst here. I thought I was last by point differential, but apparently we're both last in that (-10 for us both) so I guess this week we'll really see who is dead last.

Sorry for taking so long to reply to these, life got in the way. Biggest two football markets would be Edmonton and Toronto respectively. However, of the two, Toronto is the only one with a domed stadium. You'd be playing football in weather worse than in Green Bay during winter times in Edmonton. McMahon Stadium in Edmonton though, is a football stadium (and more "NFL ready"), and therefore would be the better of the two to watch football. Toronto's got the most population per area and could definitely start a nice rivalry with the Bills to get fans moving across both borders to watch the games. Edmonton's got probably the loyalist fans and best football operations in Canada (before this season the CFL's Edmonton Eskimos had reached the playoffs a world record 34 in a row times before finally being snapped this season). But those would be the two best markets. Vancouver wouldn't be a bad 3rd option considering you could get a decent border battle between them and Seattle. Is football bigger than baseball and basketball? If MLB and NBA had to move teams out of Canada what makes you think that a NFL franchise will work? ...uh, I'm purposing a question for debate to see what Americans would think would be logical for a team to be made. If you put the team in Toronto and build a rivalry versus the Bills, I think you could very well see the team staying since the CFL (meaning football in general) is more watched than NBA or MLB. Edmonton though is very loyal to their teams. Hell, we've got a NLL (national league lacrosse) team and had only one win, yet the crowd was 10k+ every game (and considering Skyreach Centre holds only 15-16k that's very nice numbers). Heh, considering nearly half of the home games (if Edmonton, Calgary or Winnipeg, it would likely be nearly all) would be played in minus type weather in another city save Toronto, I'd agree with ya. While there is no need, it will eventually expand north and/or south of the border. Both the game in Mexico and the CFL prove that there is a highly valuable market for football in both countries. If I was running the NFL and saw that in Mexico you could get 100k to a game that means nothing or there is a league up in the Great White North, I'd put ca and sh together to get me some cash. It would and is purely business. And say what you want about no need for a Canadian NFL team, but what about the NBA's thoughts about expanding to Europe or having a Europe conference entirely? Its all about making money, bottom line. And considering both Mexico and Canadian are far closer, more accessable, and easier to schedule games for, I wouldn't be at all surprised for a NFL team to be in one of the Canadian cities before the NBA's expansion to Europe. The CFL's shoes are already being stepped on because the NFL is staging a season game in Toronto sometime in the near future. While we love our game and call it the "Cool Fun League" to poke at the "No Fun League", truth be told... We don't have many of the rituals that the NFL does. Like tailgate parties, opening shows that have fireworks, and all the bells and whistles. While I hate to admit it, that will attract people away from the CFL and to the NFL. Also because the NFL is staging a game that does in fact have the best players on earth playing in those games, it will add to the fact that the CFL does in fact seem inferior to it.

NCAA usually brings me back. But I think its more because that you can pick any team and its never the same type of game. Whereas you pretty much run the same offenses, the same players, and everything with Madden. Also you don't have a budget Hell, I'm running a dynasty where I haven't lost in like 50+ games, winning the BCS twice in a row, and I got SHAFTED during the voting for my third year: stuck playing the Rose Bowl which I won. I think things like that add to overall enjoyment.

If the NFL were to add two new teams (assuming one is LA), and one team is gonna be in Canada, which Canadian city would you place it in and what would you name it? Considering the NFL is testing the waters with a planned season game coming sometime soon, I figured I'd ask.

Best place to milk LP and farm for drops is Omir Sandsea. You can rack up your chain into the 100s easily (I was at 77 before I just went "screw it), and nab Earth Stones along the way. Early 20s you can kill the guys in like 2-3 hits and move on. Plus they are plentiful making the task pretty easy. Just watch out for the Fire Elementals and Tomato Heads, and you should be good.

Ugh... This is utterly unreal how badly I'm getting burned by teams that should by alrights do their jobs and I pick'em. I'm almost gonna bet against the spread for the remainder of the season after this week.

I haven't been able to summon yet, even though I managed to pick up my first one. And its so cool that there's a "dry" and "wet" season for the Giza Plains. Really makes it lifelike and is a bitch to nagivate now. BTW, if you are where I am, do NOT attempt to do Marks III or IV at this stage of the game. Just set it up so no one steals them. Because yikes, I got smacked around silly trying to do Mark III White Mousse. Oh, and best place to rack up on goodies, Omir Sandsea. Managed to get a 77 chain because of those little sand freaks. Lots of earth stones too. And I love the storyline and how everyone seems not really evil but just in shades of grey, like real life. At first I was expecting to hate the Emperor of Arcadia, but he turns out to be a guy who's hand tied by the council. Now if only I could figure out who in the bloody hades I'm supposed to return this Ring of the Toad to, I'd get bonus stuff me thinks.

I love this game. I bought it, has the epic feel for the storyline, breaks in with a bang concerning the "death of Dalmasca", and frankly I've been enjoying it. Can't wait to continue on with the main storyline. Oh, and the idea of having a few "huge" guys is a brilliant idea, except I've died a few times because I was an idiot and walked into them. Currently I'm right now trying to hunt the Cluckatrice to nab me a higher Clan rating. Damn thing is so tough to find. I've been at this for hours. Been having fun just mindlessly killing things. Finally figured out what I needed to do, I think. Just need to figure out where the flipping screw ball is the North Bank. Oh, and the licensing board is quite awesome idea and works very well. Sure you lose the individuality, but I'm pretty much going with what the character's currently are as the basis. So Fran's my magic bowslinger (can use spears too), Panello's my all out staff/dagger pushover mage, Basch is my heavy knight (though, also has daggers, since Assassin Dagger is better damage), Baltier is my gunslinger (but can wield a sword), and Vaan can do a little of everything (I think I'm taking off his heavy armor though and slapping on the light armor). My team works very well for the most part.

To be honest, I'm more blaming the players on the fallout this time than MacT. But still, I'm beginning to think we trade away some players or something because something besides firing MacT (which will likely happen at the rate we're going at) needs to be done to get these players to understand that they can't play shinny hockey.
