"A few shows here and there is different than a full tour. This is the only tour on the schedule for the release of Korn and Limp Bizkit's new albums. This is simply a sign of their promoters being too scared to book them for arenas, especially in the colder months when it is harder to draw. Korn's last arena tour didn't draw good compared to past ones. The writing is on the wall, neither band is the "in" thing anymore so the casual fans aren't going to go to their shows. Limp Bizkit's new album is falling fast on the charts. Amazon.com preorders have Korn's new one at a sales rank of 371. Yeah, the album doesn't come out until Nov. 25, but here are some rankings for other albums coming out on that date: 68 No Doubt hits 107 Madonna remixed 119 Lord of the Rings Return soundtrack 306 Nelly Furtado 335 No Doubt box set 342 Puddle of Mudd 390 Counting Crows So we got 5 albums and a $45 box set from that date alone that have been ordered more. Korn is near the level of Counting Crows, who are far from a band that packs arenas night after night. " korn's last headlining tour was with disturbed and trust company and regularly sold out 14,000 to 16,000 seat arenas and amphitheaters, which is what they were drawing on the issues and follow the leader tours those examples i gave were full tours so, by the statement about the difference between a few shows here and there and a full tour, you dont seem to know what you are talking about and are just spouting what you fell becuase you dont like either band even besides that this tour is only 8 shows..and the next korn tour at least isnt scheduled until march after they do xmas shows and head to japan and austrailia which shows even more that you were making that statement without any knowledge about it as well thats fine if you dont like them im not arguing their merit but dont try to BS your way through the discussion sure the album bombed..and? bands have new albums that bomb all the time or drop like a rock and can still do arena tours..look at pearl jam the reason is because there are many many fans who couldnt see them before when they were hotter becuase it was too hard to get tickets..pearl jam plays 2-3 sold out shows back to back and the new albums come and go the facts are they could be playing bigger places, and the next leg of touring after these shows will be in arenas..these are intimate shows made to reward the few who can get tickets with a special experience..and all those bands i gave examples of have done it at one time or another if you dont agree with that just say "no it isnt" like the child that these statements seem to convey as opposed to putting out some agenda-driven drivel or just say what you really feel "they suck" see i can seperatre my opinions of who i like and dont from the facts

a big deal for 2 bands to be playing the small venues together i somehow got through for the Worcester MA Palladium on 11/25/03 im not even gonna go this is a fortune in aftersale the last two times bands did this linkin park reight before meteora came out and bizkit before hot dog came out you could scalp these for hundreds of dollars..it would be nice to see the show becuse of the small venue but im too old to give up the large $$$ to go

i dont "know" this for fact but what i beleive is the bam crew and the knoxville crew were each doing their own thing and as is common in the skating world troupes/groups usually hear of each other ..when MTV wanted to do a show based off of the stuff they saw knoxville's Big Brother videos (the taser and all that) they recomended Bam/the cky people to fill up the show jackass really was like always 3 parts the knoxville crew stuff old and new cky stuff (some stuff is right from the CKY videos) then all of them together (as the show went on you saw a lot more of this) knoxville was frustraed with the limits from MTV plus was ina few movies (MIB and Big Trouble) i just dont think he felt it was worth the time or aggravation speaking of the seperate crews i know Bam/CKY is in pennsylvania cause they say it all the time where was the other crew based out of??

"Gee, I wonder why their doing a smaller tour? " becuase big bands play clubs sometimes when their new albums are coming out to make it more special for the few who attend? tons of bands have done it when they could be selling out arenas NIN, U2, Aerosmith, Linkin Park, Limp Bizkit (twice), Blink 182, 50 cent, perfect Circle, metallica, audioslave, and staind are just a few of the bands who have done it when they were selling out arenas or could be playing arenas..even the rolling stones did a similar thing last tour they played small theaters in between playing stadiums and arenas..its called an "intimate" show "Wow! As little as two years ago these two could have sold out MSG together. Now they can't even sell out a club. " the club did sell out..that was the hole point..they could be playing bigger places they are just doing this tour as a special event dont let the fact that you may like them or not lead anyone to make false/ignorant statements concerning their popularity because they could easily move the show a street over to a place like the centrum and sell that out too..both bands headlined arenas on their last tours and also were second on stadium shows (both with metallica) that were package shows in the past few years LB couldnt headline their own tour right now and sell out arenas because thier popularity has waned but Korn still could and them together of course would as well as far as the 80's rock/hair metal the package tours do pretty well. the def leppard tour this past year hit a smaller facility in the NE area at least and besides all the hair metal even the older stuff usually packages together to sell more tickets (the reo speedwagons and journeys and the like).. this past years poison tour was the worst sales theyve ever had for it becuase they are getting lax with their opeining acts.. the first couple years it was always 4 "solid" popular bands from the hair metal period then they started with enuff znuff and what not..then this year only 3 and it was a fake Skid Row and the motley crue coverband starring vince neil

"Seeing Roger Waters do 3+ hours of material in 2000 was my crowning concert achievement. I marked out HARDCORE when he did all 9 parts of "Shine On You Crazy Diamond" with old pictures and video footage of Syd Barrett. it was definitely creampantsworthy." damn i almost went to that when it hit providence..thats so friggin cool *curses self* -

seeing Queensryche perform "mindcrime" in its entirety (providence civic center Empire tour june 1991 with suicidal) NIN with David Bowie (great woods sept 1995) Powerman 5000's farewell show in boston at the middle east (before they left for california) seeing Korn before the first album came out (at the strand with house of pain, biohazard, gravediggaz 1994) Green day free concert at the hatch shell 1993(?) not a big GD fan but something to be part of seeing the cure twice with no opening act for 3 hours plus (and their BCN xmas show in 97 was cool because thats where they started playing a lot of older stuff again) NIN/jim rose/Manson at boston garden dec 94 last show at the garden (REM/grant lee buffalo was the first at the new garden/fleet center) Ramones on the farewell tour at the strand Pantera/Zombie/deftones/anal cunt at the worcester centrum..just an over the top experience..to think that zombies intense audio visual overload could be followed up by pantera and a wall of amps bon jovi/skid row june 11 1989 prov civic center..hey my first show 2 concerts att he same place that have a connection Nirvana/Breeder/Half Japaneese and Pantera/crowbar both at Fitchburg State significant for the fact that pantera was the second show i saw at that arena..on the day they discovered kurt's body..just eerie to hear all the nirvana songs and stories before and after when last time we were there (same group of people) we saw him play live the first touring ozzfest (second overall) pantera, type o, fear factory, machine head, PM5K all together and sabbath..plus phil playing with type o on "kill all the white people" then there like a whole list of "seeing x band before they hit it big" mostly local guys who blew up like staind, godsmack etc and people who opened up for another act then hit it big -
that new single is pretty WTF the video too

there's an email floating around and tv and radio have commented on it as well if anyone sees it and hasnt seen BTTF II its bullsh*t the new myth goes like this "in Back to the Future II marty finds an almanac that says 2003 red sox over florida" or something to that extent if you havent seen BTTF II *spoiler* before marty even buys the almanac he sees a holographic presentation of news that gives the results of the 2015 world series its says cubs over miami or something like that and marty/fox is like "miami doesnt have a team"..THEN he buys the almanac and old biff brings it to 1955 etc ive had to explain that to so many co-workers and friends today so figured id put this out here in case you hear it somewhere and dont know the skinny

"so you basically got a useless X-box..." i have no interest in xbox live and yes you cannot go on xbox live when you modify the system lol real useless 15 close to free games and thousands of old school classics? i use it all the time..i play the arcade games endlessly and you can save any game at any point/any state on the hard drive and resume right where you left off no save points/ passwords..plus it has all cheats detected on a menu for all the old games..im getting rid of my ps2 as well cause i have no use for that anymore, the dreamcast that had the nester emulator on a disc, and the old super nintendo my wife had..less clutter in the entertainment center you can also run it through your computer and have an xbox outlook and xbox eplorer and the like but i never bothered to get online at home just work i know jack about the hardware/technical side of it , i just give it to my brother in law and he does his thing theoretically microsoft/the developers are trying to make the games un-burnable but out of the 4 people who have one that i know we havent run into any game that wont be burned yet *fingers crossed* worst case though i buy a halo 2 or the like if i cant burn it thanks for the game offerings people over vacation (oct 20th- 27th) ill be sure to fill it to capacity "World Series Baseball 2k3 > High Heat 2004" i tried both i dont like WS2K3 as much not like i think its awful but ive liked high heat better i tried some basketball game..inside drive 2003? lord that thing was bad

i like each album on its own..its when i hold them in the light of each other they falter it wasnt so much the aggression on RRR but the brutal honesty during that time in the "hardcore" scene nobody was being that skin searingly honest
-
oh man he could have ended up like one of Spinal Tap's drummers (death by freak gardening accident)
-
if you get in on a company when they start (or start hitting an area) its not hard to be one of these guys ..ring of honor would hook me up with the exact same fron row seats the first few times they started hitting Massachusetts , i just asked if i could get same section and they gave me the same exact two seats..i was like "uh-oh i need a gimmick" but then i ran out of disposable income before i could get an official name/gimmick

any fans of polly jean out there ive always been a big fan and had on "rid of Me" and "stories..." on this past couple of hours and thought ive never seen her and her work discussed seen live twice both excellent (unfortunately both on the to bring you my love tour as in i havent gotten around to seeing her again) one with tricky opening up and one openeng up for Live best album is a toss up between the two i mentioned before but everyhting is good even dance hall dry (which some fans dont liek for some reason) her lyrics are very inspiring and introspective and in general is a very unheralded artist..hearing "rid of me" and "4 track demos" from a friend years ago really changed my music life
