I meant bungle up their chances of winning the titles (in kayfabe). Not bungle up maneuvers or spots. Sorry for the confusion.

The One and Only WWE 24/7 Thread

Right but it was a little weird that you wouldn't be able to do that on their own player. Especially since you're able to on their Heat/Velocity/ect shows. -

Basically, for a little more than the price of one ppv ($39.95), you can have all 200+ matches at your disposal. Not a bad one time fee. Plus, it gives ya a reason to look forward to the beginning of the month. Slightly OT: I asked one of the support guys why there is no FF/REW on the 24/7 Viewer screen and he didn't know. Seems odd it wouldn't be on it. -

Yeah, some stuff looks really grainy fullscreen while other matches look A-OK. Doesn't seem to have a whole lot to do w/ age. The Survivor Series 90 match looks like crap fullscreen while the TuesTex match looks great. -
I REALLY want to believe they're just testing Shelton to see if he's a "team player" by jobbing him to anyone that can execute a rollup while holding onto a rope. But, even I know better.

On the Collection (I-XIII), Regis's interviews are in tact. He also interviewed The Undertaker and Paul Bearer.

Last night is a prime example that one hour is plenty for TNA for now. By the time the Dudleys were on, I started channel flipping as well. Granted, it was an entertaining show, but TNA just can't hold my interest for two straight hours yet. (Hell, Raw can't hold it for two minutes.) I totally dig the 30-45 sec spots on the respective wrestlers before/after breaks. Rhino's interview segment was tremendous . . . not too much, not too little. The wrestling was all solid, entertaining, and exciting which is all you can hope for when trying to draw new fans. Although, Tenay was annoying yelling to call your friends about Impact. How bout I e-mail TNA my buddies' numbers and they can call instead? Anywhoo, if TNA continues to make progress, they'll be ready for two hours this time next year. P.S. They got to change the TNA name though.

Ever Wonder How Scripted The Shows Are Now?
MillenniumMan831 replied to The Niggardly King's topic in The WWE Folder
Well, at least Shelton's match got the most story notes. -
I am so tempted to send you copies of Coliseum Video's "George 'The Animal' Steele", "Wrestling's Country Boys", and "Best of the WWF Volume 14" to review. But I'm not a sadist.

This is the one noticeable edit in the collection that I have as well. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> IIRC, it made that edit/jump in every WM tape on the Collection. For the first 8 of them, it was during intermission. But for the rest of them, it'd come at some random point about halfway through the show. And WMXIV did indeed have the block logo on the turnbuckles.

They showed it in the highlight package before the match. It sure appeared that both injuries were worked. Although, I'm surprised they wouldn't lop off one of the Steiners to put Undertaker in since Tatanka was still very over at the time.

Segments that made you go WTF??

Bob "Sparkplug" Holly winning the Intercontinental Title on the Action Zone in 1995 . . . BUT the match was restarted the next week and Holly came up empty. Still, it was weird to see perennial jobber Bob Holly walk to the dressing room with the I-C belt on his shoulder. -
As a casual TNA viewer, I'd say having a 1-hour weekly show at this time is best, while keeping the door open for 2-hour specials as are being planned. The company would be better suited to leave you wanting more w/ a 1hr show rather than bombarding its audience w/ 2hrs of wrestling w/ guys many casual fans have never heard of. The odds of holding onto an audience for 2 hours is a lot worse than holding them there for just 60 minutes. The pacing of a 2hr weekly show would have to be AMAZING for it to work.

Vince/WWE vs. Wrestling New Sites/Net Fans
MillenniumMan831 replied to Downhome's topic in The WWE Folder
I so hope they get rid of Joey Styles. Is Art Donovan still alive? He'd be a much better replacement. -
- Hawaii is an anti-American country ya know. Well, he was aligned w/ Fuji/Yokozuna so it sorta made sense. - Because it was 1991.

There are now interviews up w/ Jake Roberts and Bret Hart taken from their respective dvds.
-
I watched it right after Doink vs. Kamikaze Kid. Nash disappointed me w/ the clean job.

Worst excuse to get out of a job/angle?

"That doesn't work for me brother." -
I'd recommend checking out the Roberts/Hart interviews at the bottom from their respective dvds. Interesting stuff as each man is in near tears by the end.

I should have known a couple weeks after I pay for it, it'd be free for anyone w/ half a brain to use. But I didn't. Cripes.

These are just individual matches for the ol wwe.com jukebox. They renamed it Online 24/7. Unless you meant you can record them off your WMP. If that's the case, nevermind.

Well, on the positive side for Vader's return . . . I marked for the Vader theme. And the fact that it took him a half hour to get to the ring meant I got to hear more of it.
-
Eh, not too bad of a lineup. Generally, I'm happy to see matches/segments I've never seen or can't remember. Looking forward to checking out Graham/Rhodes, Steiners/Sting & Luger, Sting/Rotundo, and Syxx/Mysterio for the first time.

I highly doubt the one month where he actually wins a match (against Spanky on Velocity) that he'd quit.

I have it complete although there is a little cable fuzz, but the pic is stable w/ no shakiness . . . in other words, great for 21 year old footage . . . shitty compared to WWE 24/7 footage.
