Who is that new ring announcer on RAW???
MillenniumMan831 replied to Kizzo's topic in The WWE Folder
Stagger Lee Marshall. -
The Bulldogs/Dream Team Tag Title Match from WM2 and the Hart Foundation/Brain Busters match from SumSlam89 deviated from the formula quite a bit and were much better for it. I'm sure there are dozens more out there but these are some readily available ones.

6:10 every morning my mental alarm wakes me up. I hate that thing.
-
Other than Jim Rome, does anyone call Cleveland "C-Town"? Just curious.
-
I got the last copy of it at FYE. Granted they probably only stock about 4-6 on the shelves at a given time.
-
I never did religiously follow it since the show aired at 3am-ish on Sunday mornings. I'd see a lil but here and there but always attended the live shows when they came to town; even though I only initially knew the old WWF/WCW guys and mainstays like Taz/RVD/Dudleys. By far, all 4-6 times I've seen them live I got a better bang for my buck than any other wrestling, concert, or sporting events. Also caught a lot of their ppvs in 1999/2000 as about 6 of us would all pitch in to check it out.

Actually, Austin got the bye into the Semis to face Mankind. BossMan lost to Austin by DQ but came back at the end of the 1st Round to replace HHH against The Rock.

What was the original booking of Regal/X-Pac from SurSer 1998? Seemed really odd. It goes to a DCO when Slaughter has the match restarted. Then, X-Pac hobbles away clutching his neck while Regal eventually chases after him. Seemed really bizarre. Did X-Pac tweak his neck or did the match go as planned?

Blue Meanie Considering Legal Action Against JBL
MillenniumMan831 replied to QuestionMan's topic in The WWE Folder
Please tell me no lawyer would actually defend Meanie. -
WCW's was on Thunder in Australia in Oct of 2000 before HH2000 w/ intervals of 30 seconds. Mike Awesome won it by last eliminating Kronik w/ Goldberg's help.

I'm not sure how many posts that we've covered this in, there's probably one devoted strictly to this subject - but here goes: Ventura's commentary is OK for WWE to use so long as it's a) not WCW footage, and b) has previously been released on a Coliseum or WWF(E) Home Video. This is per terms of the settlement they reached a few years back. Therefore, a WrestleMania DVD set should not be an issue. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Which makes it odd that his commentary was edited out of the Wrestling Classic Finals and all the WrestleMania clips off the Greatest Stars of the 80s dvd set.

OAO Raw Thread (6-20-05): Angle v. Some Big Guy
MillenniumMan831 replied to AndrewTS's topic in The WWE Folder
According to the WWE website, it's random draw but WWE writers probably aren't too concerned over what's written on their own site. -
The only WM match I really crave in dvd quality is Steamboat/Savage.
-
To be honest, the most glaring thought running through my mind during the Steamboat/Flair Clash match was "Boy, there sure are a lot of headlocks here." FWIW, I enjoyed the Chi-Town Rumble match the best. Don't remember any intricate details of any of the 3 but I just remember digging the 1st one more than the others. Probably more for Steamboat winning the "big one" than anything else.
-
Actually, Heyman commentated in Lawler's absense during the invasion.
-
The nutshot afterwards was good times though.
-
I don't think WM 19 gets the love it deserves. In my opinion it's one of top 5 Wrestlemanias of all time, and it makes for an awesome DVD. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> IMO, if HHH jobbed and Brock hit the SSP properly, WM19 would be regarded much more highly today.

I bought Anarchy Rulz for PS1 partially out of pity although the game wasn't that bad. Had some modes Attitude didn't have (Barbed Wire, Dumpster, Parking Lot, Inferno, ect).
-
Plus if JBL pulled out a cheap win at WM21, they could have worked a stip where if JBL won the I Quit match, he wouldn't have to defend the WWE Title on television until his 1 year anniversary. However, he'd still defend it at 'live events' to possibly spruce up attendance just a bit.

What was your favorite moment from
MillenniumMan831 replied to iliketurtles's topic in The WWE Folder
The look on Dreamer's face when Enter Sandman started up was awesome. -
Just for clarification, is this the LOD Vs. Smash & Crush match from Supertape 3? ------------------------------------------------ Haven't picked up the dvd yet, but if it's a 3-minute match w/ interference from Fuji to cause the DQ, it's from Challenge and not Supertape 3.
