Anyone get the Seinfeld DVDs?
MillenniumMan831 replied to kkktookmybabyaway's topic in Television & Film
I'll be getting the box set for Christmas . . . I think. The evolution of Kramer is very interesting. He starts out as a mysterious almost creepy neighbor you wouldn't want to cross to a mysterious kooky neighbor that seems to invent a new noise every week. Same w/ George. He's cheap the whole time but at least he sincerly means well for the first few seasons and is very concious of how others perceive him . . . but somewhere along the way, he stops giving a shit and starts double crossing people and doing whatever it takes to get what he feels he needs. Obviously, this goes on in just about every sitcom but I love Seinfeld so I notice it a lot more here. -
I have that match on tape. It's a fun 10-12 minute match. Nothing extrordinary but definitely unique. I don't believe there was any blood either.

Didn't Nash and Hogan legit want Jericho in the nWo at this time? When Jericho wouldn't go for it, his WCW career went in the pooper. -

Throwing in a somewhat random one: At Survivor Series 1990, Adnan clonked Tito Santana w/ the flag and Slaughter hooked the camel clutch. The bell rang w/ Slaughter celebrating as The Fink announced . . . Sgt. SLAUGTHER! . . . has been DISQUALIFIED!!! Your winner and sole survivor TITO SANTANA! (Cue awesome Santana theme) What can I say . . . I mark for The Fink and Tito Santana. -
What's the worst WCW Nitro Ever?
MillenniumMan831 replied to UseTheSledgehammerUh's topic in General Wrestling
What? I want to know more about this... July 24, 2000: General Rection and Cpl. Cajun defeated Rey Misterio Jr. and Disco Inferno, Mark Jindrak and Shawn O’Hare, and Chuck Palumbo and Shawn Stasiak in a "Four Team Caged Heat Elimination Match" WCW needed 3 top contending teams to face Kronik in a Fatal 4 Way match at New Blood Rising. So, they took the 4 top challenging teams and put them in Caged Heat. IIRC, O'Haire/Jindrak casually escaped first, then The Perfect Event, and finally MIA also escaped meaning that the Filthy Animals would be left off that Tag Title match at the ppv. They won the gold the very next night though. -
Up Next . . . a trip in a time machine as we go back to 1999 and witness Val Venis vs. Viscera!

This reminds me of a Coliseum Exclusive match or somethin w/ the uninspired commentary actually focused on the match and its participants.

That just ain't cool. -
I'll say it's the Monday Night Jericho shirt . . . I really should've bought that one. To somewhat make up for it, I did buy his Highlight Reel shirt, but I always make sure to have another shirt on to cover up the back.

Much appreciation HTQ! -
Didn't he wrestle Tommy Dreamer on Heat a long while back and try that finisher? IIRC, he missed, got DDTd, and it was all over.

What was the deal w/ Knobbs being in the 1991 Rumble but not Sags? Then, Sags was in the 1992 Rumble, but not Knobbs? Was the one left off injured each time?

And his 2 clean pinfall wins over Lex Luger.

I believe Martel popped up on Thunder in late 1999 or early 2000 for a one time appearance against Madusa. -

I attended an Aug 2000 Nitro where Sting won the WCW.com poll to face Booker T later that night. Of course, "Sting" was attacked by Goldberg while he ended up suffering possibly the only clean loss of his WCW career to Booker T that night. It also had the wretched 4-Team Caged Heat match where 3 teams would win and the last team out of the cage would be the sole losers. Horrible. Plus, we saw one of the Torrie Wilson sex tapes during Douglas vs. Awesome. Muta turned heel. And finally, Lance Storm won the SHIT. But it still beats the last couple Raws I went to. -
And what collection of HHH matches would be complete w/o his classic Blindfold Match against a soon-departing D-Lo Brown?

For whatever reason, Parker accompanied Sherri and Heat at Hog Wild 1996 in August. -
RVD getting pedigreed and having his ME push killed outside the ring during his title match against Shawn Michaels in 2002.

During the Benoit/HBK Showdown in the Desert on Raw, both guys are down and HBK is waiting and waiting and waiting for Benoit to get up so he can superkick him. You can clearly hear him yell, "CHRIS! CHRIS! CHRIS!" They dubbed this part out of the recap shows obviously.

I believe he had a heated feud with Dr. Death Steve Williams in one of the smaller feds during that timeframe. I believe you're referring to Herb Abram's UWF.

The Mountie was announced to receive an IC Title shot against the British Bulldog at Survivor Series 1992 but obviously, that didn't pan out. -
When Vince loses confidence.......

In all fairness to Vince, at least giving the belt to Hogan was the one time he actually listened to what the live fans wanted. Very Very Very rare nowadays . . . and even then. -
Old School Randy Savage Questions
MillenniumMan831 replied to ChrisMWaters's topic in General Wrestling
He had a match against evil Doink where he had to fend off 2 of them so that would suggest that it was between WMIX and SurSer93. -
Damn straight. The purple shirt of MACHO owns you! "Elizabit! I'm gonna let you HOLD THE BELT!!.............. CHANGED MY MIND!!!!" "I'm the greatest of all time! Tell em Elizabit!" "Well, yeah you are." "SHUT UP! If I lose tonight, it's your fault!!!"

I thought Terry Taylor did a helluva job in the Summer of 2000 (July-ish---August-ish).
