    ron simmons on the ebay

$50 for 3 flippin minutes? I'll take a raincheck. And it also appears Mr. Simmons is a big Elvis fan as well.

    Last Comic Standing 3

Being a fan of the 1st Season but not really watching much of the 2nd or 3rd seasons, I can see how a viewer could be burned out by this format . . . BUT, ONE EPISODE LEFT! Even if the rating is 0.0, what's ONE MORE EPISODE?!?

    Triple H's Most Embarassing Loss...

He even took a pinfall loss to Jericho around that time. Surprisingly, CJ got a win in the Hogan/Savage feud of this generation, which makes the score . . . HHH 132 . . Jericho 1 Still, better than . . . Hogan 1,739 . . Savage 0 (not counting CO/DQ wins)

    Best Wrestling Quotes...

From the 1/89 SNME: Okerlund: Honky Tonk Man, tonight you have a chance to regain the IC Championship. Does your strategy change now that you're the challenger? Honky Tonk: No Gene. I am going to go out there and continue being The Greatest Intercontinental . . . Okerlund: (mocking Honky) Greatest Intercontinental . . . Honky: Heavyweight Champion! Okerlund: Heavyweight, that's for sure.

    WWF Superstars

I was a bit of a Bob Bradley mark. Despite, Horowitz's brilliant intro pose patting himself on the back, my favorite is still Barry O's 'O' sign he'd make over his head. Classy.

What songs would make great entrance themes?

Van Halen: Panama (Could've worked for Jericho's 1998-99 WCW run) Motley Crue: Looks that Kill (For someone like Stacy Kiebler) Alice in Chains: Rain When I Die (Not bad for Raven) Ministry: New World Order (This would have been badass for the 1996 Hall/Nash/Hogan version of the nWo) Jane's Addiction: The Mountain Song (I don't really know whom this would fit, but it's a dandy nonetheless) Metallica: Ride the Lightning (I could see Rhyno coming out to this) Ozzy Osbourne: I Don't Know (The entire WWE Creative Team) I'm tapped.

    JBL's Push - Pathetic

But with Spike, at least they're trying something new that seems to be working. It has completely freshened up a dead character, and it's been given a good twist where instead of him being a lackey to his brothers, he's the Boss of the group. He's a little shit stirrer who uses his brothers as muscle. Spike's one of the few characters on SD! I've enjoyed. Here's my problem w/ the new Spike Dudley. Why is he the boss? Because he says so? I mean what's stopping the Dudleys at any minute, to say fuck this, and beat the shit out of Spike? BUT anyways, back on topic, JBL does have a pinfall victory over . . . El Gran Luchador . . . The CHAMPION of Mexico, senors y senoritas.

    WWF Superstars

^^^ Ah yes, good times. I seem to remember Hillbilly Jim and Tito Santana filling those roles as well. It was even neat that they had different classes of jobbers. You had your credible jobbers like Tim Horner, Jim Powers, Iron Mike Sharpe, Barry O, and others. But then you had your jobbers who got little-no offense at all like Red Tyler, Tom Stone, Brain Costello, and of course a host of others.

OSSOTD for 10/7/04: Survivor Series 1989

There'll always be a numskull watching it 5 minutes ahead of everyone else.

OSSOTD for 10/8/04: WCW Hog Wild 1996

I marked hard for The Giant hulking up on Hogan. And just an opinion, maybe you should only post 1-2 shows per week. After a week or two, 7-14 shows will probably become overkill.

Why is Gene Snitsky so over?

I can't believe I never thought of that. Good call. I guess w/o the grunting, he's no Iron Mike though. Although, after his push subsides, he can take over Grisham's job and be Mean Gene Snitsky, Backstage Interviewer. 1-900-SNITSKY

Really, who hadn't won the belt? Jeez, Molly Holly won it once. Steve Austin The Rock Triple H Rikishi Just a few names. I never won it.

Seven years ago Brian Pillman passed away...

I liked his heel turn in 1992 (Clash XX). Good stuff w/ him running down the Armstrong family while Jesse Ventura actually plays it straight and IIRC, sorta sides w/ Armstrong a bit.

Why is Gene Snitsky so over?

The 'Gene Snitsky' name sounds so phony bologna (I really don't know if it's his real name or not). I can imagine whomever wrote the wwe.com piece about him probably had to ask around to find out how to spell Snitsky. Was it Snitsky? Shnitsky? Snitchky? Snishky? Schnitsky?
  17. MillenniumMan831

Which brand do you like better right now?

Raw is just plain dull right now whereas at least Smackdown can make me grin at the antics going on. It comes across like a much more casual show than Raw's intense flagship atmosphere. As of now, I go w/ Smackdown and hope that Raw can shake things up.

When did Workrate start to matter in WWF?

That was a good read Deputy.

    OSSOTD 10/6/04: Halloween Havoc 1994

IIRC, this was Stunning Steve's last hoorah on ppv. And the cage match was fun chaos w/ The Brain channeling his energies from 1992 but it wasn't the same w/o Gorilla. It was maybe the first blantantly WWF-style match on WCW ppv.

    The Gene Snitsky love

We need to be punished for liking Snitski. So tonight, in this very ring, we all face...KAAANNNEEE... Awww C'mon, NOT Kane! ANYONE but Kane!

    Triple H's Most Embarassing Loss...

Yeah, I believe Vince made that match and it happened before WM2000. I don't think Godfather was IC Champ at the time though. I just remember VInce screaming how Steph would go on the . . . HHHOOOOOOOOO TTTTTRRRRAAAAAIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!
  24. MillenniumMan831

    Triple H's Most Embarassing Loss...

IIRC, the Droese loss was a reverse decision DQ loss . . . although it is an anti-climatic way to end a 6 month long undefeated streak.

    Best Wrestling Quotes...

Huh? Yeah... Damn Hulk Hogan... why did you have to... draw all that money? Why can't you be like Bret who didn't have that problem? It just would have been funny since Hogan was in near tears screaming out "WHY?!? THEY LOOKED IDENTICAL!!!! HOW MUCH DID THE PLASTIC SURGERY COST!!! OH MY GOD!!!!!" . . . then Gene, cool as a cucumber, could have wrapped up the segment w/ that line and thrown it to Vince. Would it haev made sense from a kayfabe standpoint? Of course not. Would it have been funny as hell? No doubt.
