Cole even recycled the "Raping his Dignity" line from when Andre got his hair cut by Studd/Patera.

Another great moment from RR2000 is when Rikishi is all alone in the ring as the colock counts down to zero and The Bossman's music hit. MSG immediately gave him heat that would put goosebumps on any heel's body.

I just logged on here and read about this and I can't believe it. I'm definitely going back and reading the rest of this thread. I really don't know what else to say other than it sucks. All the best to his family and friends. RIP Bossman (I am proud to have him as my avatar for the last couple of months)

the absolute stupidity of turning orton face

Being the company man he is, I find it pretty amusing that WWE Champion JBL doesn't even get a little pat on the back by Kurt for being an 'improved wrestler and tremendous performer'. Not saying he is, but I'm surprised Angle didn't so much as mention the champ.

Sadly, it should have made perfect sense to anybody. Hogan had spent 11 years hulking up following the finish. Everybody's finishing move. It had happened to Savage at WrestleMania V. Stupid and unrealistic, yes, but anybody who had followed Hogan's career from 1984 on should have seen it coming. ...That still doesn't make sense, and I've read it three times. Hogan no sold HIS OWN PARTNERS finishing move? Did Savage KNOW he would and just thought "Hey, if I try knocking Hogan out, he'll just pop up like a jack in the box"? IIRC, Hogan and Avalanche (or whoever) were down and the ref was giving the 10 count. So Savage raced to the top rope, dropped the elbow on Hogan, and Hogan popped up and was Hulking Up in no time much to Savage's delight. Yeah, pretty dumb.

*Bump* Adding in: - MSG 4/84 (VG+, volume low) and Spectrum 10/81 (G+). - MSG 7/84 (EX in SP).

I'm really foggy as to when Hogan no sold the powerbomb. I always assumed it was at Superbrawl V. Was it at the Clash proceeding this? If so, it's really sad that he'd no sell the powerbomb right after no selling the flying elbow.

Good news Helms! What's that? You're on Raw tonight! Awesome! I've got more good news! I'm gonna win? Don't be silly . . . but you will turn heel. Works for me. I need a change. So, do I jump Rosey from behind? Cheap shot a face opponent? Close . . . You're gonna take back a mask you give to a fan before a match. And . . . ? Well, SNITSKY agreed to show up tonight! Isn't that great? Well, IT IS SNITSKY!!! Of course that's great! (Gives agent a big hug) -

HHH vs. Shnisky!!! The FANS DEMAND IT!!! IT'S NOT MY FAULT!!! -
And how broke.
-
Nothing really led to him becoming the Bikertaker, he was gone before Unforgiven 1999 and next thing ya know, it's JD2000 and he's the Bikertaker. No explanation given that I know of. As for HHH, I believe he switched themes in late 2000 and has used that ever since.

I heard Mil didn't want anyone to throw him over so he had to make it so he'd eliminate himself. Kinda makes him look like a retard if you ask me.

And then hire him back 45 seconds later. -
I wonder if a superheavyweight feud w/ Bob Holly is in the works for VVVIIIISSSSSCCCCEEEERRRRRRRAAAAHHHH!!!

I did not know that, well that had to have been towards the end of his run as announcer. Maybe he was ribbing on Waltman a little bit. I dunno. During that "New Generation" era it seemed like they made him yell all of his commentary more than in the 1980s to make him seem more excited.

Gorilla Monsoon used to bring the ephemisms quite often. "This crowd is in awe of what's gone down here at Madison Square Garden" was an old reliable one when you could hear crickets after a Ted Arcidi squash. "They are literally hanging off the rafters" Never saw one person hang off the rafters myself. "You're not going to see a whole lot of flying head scissors or short arm scissors in this one!" --- The quote that JR morphed into the bowling shoe ugly catchphrase. "The irresistable force meeting the immovable object" Expect 2 hosses running off the ropes no selling each other's shoulder tackles here. "Side headlock, ________ won't stay in this long" One guy wants to rest while the other wants to work. I've said it a million times here and I'll say it again, I miss Gorilla.

Deam Malenko unmasking his Ciclope mask and then defeating Chris Jericho at Slamboree 1998. -
The Main Event 2/89 Hogan is steaming backstage over Savage attacking him earlier. He storms in on Jim Neidhart and bullies him around asking where Savage is at. Neidhart sells it like he's piss scared. Then, he interrogates The Rockers . . . ditto them. Then, he goes to Bret Hart who just no sells the temper tantrum and says he doesn't know where Savage is. No flinching, no begging, just Bret staring at Hogan wondering what the hell is wrong with him. Fun stuff.

I was wondering if anyone had CV/WCW masters of the following and could make dubs for me in SP or LP if it doesn't fit: - SummerSlam 1989 - Spring Explosion 1996 (IYH 2/96) - Starrcade 1996 - Wrestlefest 1997 (IYH 4/97, Revenge of the Taker) I'm asking because I have the original boxes for these events but I either don't have the original tape or the tape is in really subpar condition. Not to be picky but I'm only looking for 1st Gens of the commercial versions of each tape. I've got a list on this page and a link in my sig so hopefully we can work something out. Thanks.

Did they even do a little blurb about Velocity's new time slot on SD?

I took 1987 and since I plan on going to the Survivor Series this year, I'm praying that Vince brings back the "Where it all Begins . . . Again" shtick and puts on 5 or so 8 or 10 Man Survivor Series tag team matches. Plus, Survivor Series originated in the Cleveland area and will be returning there in November.
