It was just a part of his outfit, he was wearing it even way back in 1984.

Who would have ever thought Rene Dupree's image would be on a WWE shirt?
-
(MSG 1/91 going on the air) Mooney: I was kind of disappointed Brain. I thought I'd be w/ the likes of a Lord Alfred Hayes or Gorilla Monsoon . . . Heenan: I though I'd be here by myself. I guess I was right.

Let's face it, the 5 matches advertised weren't really anything to go Gung Ho about. - HHH vs. Benjamin --- Well, this had an interesting premise going in but the match was cut off at the knees. - Batista vs. Tajiri --- W/ no mist, Tajiri's character is next to worthless to casual fans. - Orton vs. Edge --- Does anyone give a shit about Edge? The guy has shown less personality than a tree stump since returning and I HATE his spear. Mechanically, he's alright but if he jobs to HHH 4 weeks in a row, I couldn't care less. - Eugene vs. Conway --- Alright, I'm sure this segment had to do alright. It had to have been one of the more eagerly awaited debuts in quite a while. Eugene + Regal = Super Happy Fun Times for the Viewer! - X vs. Jericho --- Well, we've seen these two go at it several times recently. We've seen cage matches seemingly every month so this didn't really have much mystique going for it. Plus, the winner was inconsequential. There was nothing on the line either way. Still a good match but the general viewer probably wasn't too emotionally attached to the match.

If it wasn't for Regal playing Eugene's polar opposite, I don't think I'd be digging the gimmick half as much. I really hope they keep those 2 together for quite a while. Maybe Regal can try to civilize Eugene by getting him to wear suits, comb his hair, ect. It could work.

Tell me he didn't actually say that.

"How much does this guy weigh?" I swear that guy almost single handedly ruined KOTR94. Poor Macho Man had to answer all of his questions about half way through after Gorilla started ignoring him entirely.
-
After Demolition beat Strike Force at WMIV w/ help from Fuji's cane Ventura: That looked to be illegal. Gorilla: What do you mean LOOKED to be illegal?!? The guy clobbered him with the cane! Ventura: I know, it appeared to be illegal.

Seems like everyone that has one ends up citing one thing wrong with it, like bad audio, fuzzy pic, ect.

Sorry it's not old school, but I loved when JR would turn all cynical working w/ Heyman in 2001. For example, during the battle royal at SurSer01 JR: (in grumpy old man mode) There's DDP. He's got an advantage, he's got nice teeth. (DDP gets dumped) Now he can go floss.

I loved that quote. At a later event, he tweaked it a little by saying that a gust of wind blew the ticket off the windshield and he never saw it. -------------------------------------------------------------- Also, after the Piper/Hart match at WMVIII Monsoon: Now, Bret the Hitman Hart is the New Intercontinental Champion! Heenan: SO WHAT! Monsoon: So what? Heenan: Why would I care, doesn't put any money in my pocket. ------------------------------------------------------------ Then, during the 8-Man Tag Heenan: Ya know Monsoon in the month of May, myself, Jimmy Hart, the Nasty Boys, and Sherri will be facing off with the WBF on Family Feud . . . . . . . . . . . . . . I'm gonna win all the money!!! Monsoon: Oh Boy! -------------------------------------------------------------- After DiBiase beat Bam Bam by CO at MSG due to Virgil's interference Monsoon: I just know I'm going to regret asking you this Brain, but don't you think The Million Dollar Man should have been disqualified? Heenan: (W/ Perfect Timing) For what? Monsoon: (Just knowing Heenan would say that) We'll be right back.

I'd like to throw the British Bulldogs vs. Dream Team from WM2 out there as well.

The Ultimate Warrior is coming to my school!

Ask him what he thinks the Cleveland Browns chances are to make the playoffs this year. -
I think Eugene will put up a valiant effort but Conway's experience/cheating will get him a cheap win and leave Eugene in a puddle of tears. Regal will console him. Eugene will get a match will Grenier on Heat, same thing will happen. Finally, at Bad Blood, Eugene/Regal will topple La Resistance.

Main event matches at TV tapings
MillenniumMan831 replied to cawthon777's topic in General Wrestling
Hey, I went to a Thunder where the TV Main Event was Luger vs. Giant and we got ZILCHO after the show went off the air. The only bright spot was getting to see Jericho bellow about his Conspiracy Theory! -

Thanks for the post! -
My scroll bar for IE has been automatically scrolling (usually just down) whenever I am viewing a site. I ran Norton and the Spybot and booted all the junk but the problem persists. Should I just use a different Adware program or could the problem be deeper? Any one else had this problem? Thanks for any/all help.

Wrestlers where their debut televised matches were
MillenniumMan831 replied to Lil' Bitch's topic in General Wrestling
That'd be Survivor Series 1997 where he got counted out since "he didn't know the rules." -
I also loved when DiBiase would always miss his 2nd rope backwards elbow. He'd land on his back and flip up and down on his face.

Edit --- n/m

The piece on Benoit was very nice from what I saw of it.

Thanks for the post! The I-C Title match was brialliant. -
Hey, didn't he upset Bradshaw on Superstars?
-
I would completely love this character if it wasn't in a Major Title Program heading into a ppv.
