Least Deserving Wrestlemania Main Eventer?
MillenniumMan831 replied to SamoaRowe's topic in General Wrestling
I voted for Bundy . . . anyone could have been put in that slot at WM2 . . . Muraco, Funk, Savage, Adonis, ect. and it wouldn't have made a bit of difference and it probably would have been a better match. -
Hello, I am currently selling a Warner Bros. Master of WCW Souled Out 2000 for $10 shipped anywhere in the continental US. The box is cut to fit a plastic case but the tape plays beautifully. This is the event where Chris Benoit wins the WCW Championship. If you're inerested, please shoot me an email at [email protected] Thanks.

Bill Fralic missed his calling. Well, actually he was a very successful lineman for about 10 years, but he looked like he could have made at least a semi-smooth transition to wrestling. No worse than Mongo at least.

We all know and love War Games and rightfully so, but for the Great American Bash 1988, Big Dust saw fit to book a Tower of Doom match instead. The setup was the good ol Triple Decker cage. There were GIGANTIC ladders that led to the top where the cage was super small on top, medium in the center, and full size at the bottom. There were 2 teams of 5 and it would start w/ 2 guys at the very top. Every 2 minutes, the airhorn would go off and one man from each team would enter while the doors to get down a level would be unlocked for 30 or so seconds. The match was Jimmy & Ronnie Garvin, the Road Warriors, & Dr. Death vs. Sullivan, Rotunda, Al Perez, Russian Assassian, & Ivan Koloff The action on top was so cluttered when more than 2 men were in, but the crowd was totally into it the whole time as there was apprarently a big feud between Jimmy Garvin and Kevin Sullivan over Precious (who was holding the key at the bottom to completely exit the Tower). The center cage was alright but once it got down to the ring, it was kinda worthless. The face would beat on the heel and escape. The heel could just shrug and escape as soon as the face was gone. The end came when Jimmy Garvin and Sullivan was at the bottom and KS kicked Garvin out of the cage giving the faces the win. Sullivan then began to creepily stalk Precious after he locked the door. Hawk and Garvin then climbed the ladder to get all the way to the top and come down the cages as this was the only way in. The pop was ELECTRIC when Hawk came down to beat down Sullivan. Garvin escaped w/ Precious and embraced. I didn't think it was a great match by any means but I gotta hand it to the NWA to have the guts to air this on ppv as a number of things could have gone majorly wrong on a worse case scenario. I'd be afraid to slip and fall off the ladder if I was going up that high. It was a pretty cool one time alternative to the War Games but it's never talked about. Any thoughts?

Most jobs to the same guy without a win
MillenniumMan831 replied to Steve J. Rogers's topic in General Wrestling
He did defeat Hogan twice at MSG (both by countouts) in Dec 85 and Jan 86 which led to their Lumberjack rematch the next month in which Hogan won w/ George Steele's help. All 3 matches were released by CV so they were at least acknowledged and should count. -

Does Kane have a singles win over UT? -

Savage had a helluva time trying to steal a win from Hogan after 1986. -
Yeah, I'd really like to see an International dvd with stuff like HHH vs. Tajiri. They've been to so many countries in the last coouple years and could easily make an entertaining dvd out of it.

FWIW, Mean Gene confirmed the Hall of Fame dvd is in the works last night on Confidential.

I read/heard an interview w/ Waltman where he talked about that win over Ramon. He was so excited all day and had 1,000,000 ideas for that match. When he bumped into Razor, he started rattling them all off to which Ramon just barked something like, "How bout I just beat the shit out of you like a jobber and then you hit something cool off the ropes."

Did Luger run in 94?

Maybe Vince watched all the WCW bashing on the "Monday Night Wars" DVD, realized the irony, and decided to make some changes? Or maybe all the steriod stories in the news have scared him into pushing smaller guys? It's like the mid 1990s all over again. So when does Hunter Hearst Helmsley vs. Makin a Difference Fatu opens the show for a PPV this year? I'd rather see him get squashed by the Ultimate Warrior again.

I've always enjoyed Johnny Valiant's interviews. He could just babble on about nothing and never have to take a breath. WM seemed sorta weird because the WM feel didn't kick in until at least the title matches were beginning. Still, a fun WM to kick back and enjoy and I liked it a hell of a lot better than many of the latter ones.

Whenver I think of Ron Simmons, I think of Gary Michael Capetta announcing on a fateful summer day in 1992 . . . "The winner of this bout . . . AND NEWWWWW WCW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION . . . THE ALL AMERICAN, RON SIIIIMONS!!!!!" With the scene of that kid sobbing in the front row.

The OAO Showdown: Legends of Wrestling Thread!

Judging by the movies, I think I'll turn commentary OFF for this one. The selling looks a little better in this version than in the second one. -

Attitude? You're bloody crazy. That's like saying their ECW Hardcore Revolution game for PSX wasn't painful to play. I didn't mind Anrarchy Rulz for a month or so. Had some modes in there never done before. -
I just received Souled Out 2000. The box was cut which was not stated anywhere in the description. The pic makes it look like you're getting an uncut box. If I knew the box was cut, I never would have put a bid on it. I probably should have asked but he had pretty good feedback so I didn't bother. So, I asked for either a refund w/ the returned tape or a 50% refund. I get back a generic "All sales are final, tape was previewed." Dumbass, I knew that. So, I tell him to actually READ the email before responding and ended w/ a sarcastic "Have a nice day". He says something like "Thanks, I have mroe tapes for bidding." I give him negative feedback. He calls me a jerk. So, I guess getting under his skin was actually kinda worth it. I'm dubbing the tape for myself right now and will probably sell the original w/ the CUT box for no more than $10 down the road. Unless if the tape is super rare, super cheap, or originally one of the oversized and/or clamshell CV boxes, I LOATHE cut boxes. I think the Bruiser may know who I'm talking about here.

Chris Jericho changing his nickname every year . . . Y2J3 . . . Y2J4, ect. Although he really should drop the Y2J stuff all together.

Voted for AA. After hearing his promos, I'm just glad he's not out looking for me.

Mikey reminds me of a chubby Matt Capatelli from TEIII . . . And their Super Bowl commercials ruled the school.

I got Season 2 for now, which ironically is playing on syndication right now. I love the ep "Bobby Slam" and the paintgun ep w/ the band. As for commentaries, unless it's with Boomhauer, I'll pass.

Raw magazine had respective features on Santana and Muraco no more than a couple years ago and they looked healthy. Muraco put some chub in the gut on but looked happy and healthy for the most part. Santana seemed like he's in good shape. He was definitely lookin' good (heterosexually speaking of course).

AGREE!! UGH!! At least Hutch is in it . . . but he's not really Hutch so no thanks.

*Bump* I'm figuring I'm going to get a KotH dvd set. Should I go with Season 1 or Season 2?
