    Extra Royal Rumble

Was it a house show or a TV Taping? Because there's a match on Bashed in the USA with Tatanka winning a battle royal by dumping IRS and the Beverly Brothers at the end. And by God, Tom Stone was robbed!

    Jim Ross questions

    That was great!

    Extra Royal Rumble

Weird to know that a face Owen would win the MSG Rumble.

    Jim Ross questions

I seem to remember this exchange: JR: Well, why don't you stop harassing me and call the action. Cole: I would but there's a cowboy hat in my way.

    DJ Ran Questions

Oh, I agree. I loved them because they were against the HORRIBLE Master P group, who were supposed to be faces, but even the fans turned on them and cheered the Rednecks. Remember Swoll and BA and Master P all with Konnan and Misterio? Awful. Oh yeah, let's outnumber Curt Hennig 80-to-1 and throw a cake in his face. The fans would certainly be all up and about that there scenario. Word.

    Favorite TV taping moments

I just posted that in the old school forum. I would've sworn the "You're in Cleveland" chant kept up for more than a minute though. I remember Road Dogg burying his head in the turnbuckle after the match and Cole saying something like, "Road Dogg obviously exhausted after that hard fought match." They've got to release that segment unedited on a future dvd. I'd buy it just for that. (Funniest Moments Volume 2?)

    The Rock's hillarious interview.....

Ah yes, I remember that night. Road Dogg: Detroit Rock City . . . Welcome to the Dogg House!!! Cleveland: BOOOOOOOOOOOO . . . You're in CLEVELAND (clap clap clap clap clap) You're in CLEVELAND!!! Nice to see the face get unanomously booed during his obligatory comeback. I wish the unedited version of that would pop up on a dvd.

    WWF short live gimmick characters

I always wonder what would happen if the Berserker was still around today. I bet "HUSS~!" would be crazy over with the crowd. Hell, I'd gladly rock a "HUSS" t-shirt. As for short-lived characters...Techno Team 2000, Salvatore Sincere, Jean Pierre Lafite (I liked him though). Yep, just gotta give Jimmy HUSS~! Jacobs a shot in the Crusier division. I liked Lafitte a lot too. He had great matches with Bret and Taker that I remember seeing. Gotta love Hakushi, too, though he lasted about a year in the WWF. I always wished they pushed him more. Also enjoyed Hakushi's work a lot in the WWF. He got a nice push as a heel and then as soon as they turned him face, they jobbed him out. Never understood why.

As for short-lived characters...Techno Team 2000, Salvatore Sincere, Jean Pierre Lafite (I liked him though). I was a big Salvatore Sincere mark. Even though I haven't seen it for years, I remember enjoying his Raw match vs. Undertaker. I knew Sal had no prayer, but I was hoping for a miracle. Plus, when he shook the hands of the Spanish Announce Team and then baited in Kevin Kelly only to pull his hand away was great.

    The Old School questions thread

Yes indeed , I watched that episode myself (One of only like 12 WCW SN's I ever got to watch, due to having no cable) Hall/Nash did a run in and posted Luger, then Regal finished him off. I remember being shocked that that had a title switch on the "B" Show. I remember it airing on my birthday 8/31/96. Yippie a TV Title change on my birthday! Weeeeeee!!!!!!!!

    Austin loses to jobbers

I have no idea what the plans were other than just continuing the feud but I remember Austin sotrming the jobbers' dressing room and beating them to the point where their "careers were over" according to JR, IIRC. Of course when Arndt showed up as Joey Abs, Jimbo was proven wrong. I also remember the Superstars after KOTR96 where Austin gave Aldo Montoya a forfeit win because Austin was too superior for Aldo. I believe he did the same the next week for Freddie Joe Floyd.

    High-Flying World Champions

Ric Flair won the NWA Title at Starrcade 1983 with a high cross body from the top rope and Ronnie Garvin won the same belt with a top rope sunset flip in 1987.

    Backlash promo copy

And that would be unacceptable. Why not? It's the best-case scenario: both deserving faces get the belt: Shawn in his favorite arena, Benoit in his hometown. I think most wrestlers' favorite arena is MSG.

    Vince as announcer

Another hilarious Vince/Jesse exchange came at the Royal Rumble 1988. The Jumping Bomb Angels just beat the Glamour Girls for the Tag Titles. This is from memory: Vince: YES YES YES! We have NEW Women's Tag Team Champions!!! Jesse: I dispute that. Kai had a shoulder up. Vince: WHAT?!? Jesse: When the Bomb Angel cradled Kai what it did was actually bring Kai's shoulder off the mat. Vince: I don't believe that's what happened at all. (Slo mo reveals that Kai's shoulder was inadvertantly lifted up by the Bomb Angel just a bit) Vince: NO NO NO Jesse, That shoulder is DOWN!!! Jesse: (Losing patience) That shoudler is NOT DOWN!!! Good stuff.

So what WWF and WCW PPVs weren't released to the

You're right, everything after Havoc 00 was never put on video. And GAB98 WAS on video....I remember because I almost bought it when it was new. The cover pic features Goldberg posing with the World/US belts as the Nitro pyro goes off behind him. Was that just in the UK or the US as well?
  24. MillenniumMan831

    Vince as announcer

At the beginning of a 1995 ep of Raw, Razor/Savio were set to challenge Yoko/Owen for the Tag Titles. Off memory, Vince/King intro'd the show and had this exchange: Vince: YES INDEED! Tonight NEW Tag Team Champions will be crowned! King: What? I think you're getting a visit from Arthur. Vince: Arthur? King: Yeah, Arthuritis. You've got to have alzheimers if you think Razor and Savio will win the titles. Vince: I'VE GOT A FEELING, I'VE GOT A FEELING!!! King: That's just gas. Ha ha ha!
