WWE General Discussion-November 2008
MillenniumMan831 replied to ChrisMWaters's topic in The WWE Folder
Even Kamala thinks Horowitz was held back. -
DA just threw a TD pass on a screen . . . too bad it was to Terelle Suggs to put the kabosh on the Browns. Fans at the stadium: BRADY BRADY BRADY!!!
-
Chud's Run on 1st, Run on 2nd, Pass on 3rd Down play calling sucks.

workers who get called great but you disagree
MillenniumMan831 replied to chrislatimer's topic in General Wrestling
The thing that makes me enjoy DiBiase/Hennig matches is that they have an ability to look imposing and threatening when they need to be but also stooge and bump around helplessly when the situation permits. -
Braylon's 5 Hour Energy must have worn out as he just dropped a bomb of a TD. Cleveland fans not pleased. The fact that they blew a 14-point lead in just a few minutes doesn't help either.
-
Josh Cribbs just ripped off a KO return for a TD. A mighty slick one at that.
-
I believe the kayfabe excuse was that Demolition stopped listening to Fuji. Add to that the Powers of Pain looked a helluva lot more imposing than Demoltion. I did love how the crowd thought Fuji turned face.

Writer: Hey Vince, how bout we write Paul London into a storyline in lieu of Sydal being out? McMahon: Who? Writer: Sorry, I meant Evan Bourne. McMahon: I know that dipshit, I'm talking about this Paul London fella. Is he the kid Patterson called to do the dark match job to D-Lo Brown? Writer: Of course not. You know London. We had him teaming with Brian Kendrick for a couple years. McMahon: Hmmmm, doesn't ring a bell. Writer: Well, he shares many of the same attributes as Bourne. McMahon: What the hell, I'm a man of the times, let's do it. Send the kid in. Writer: C'mon in Paul (London enters McMahon's office) McMahon: I've heard a lot of good things about you kiddo. Get ready for the push of your life, *McMahon cackle* (London smiles joyously at this news) McMahon: WAIT A SECOND, I KNOW YOU. YOU RUINED IT! YOU RUINED EVERYTHING!!! GET OUT . . GET OUT . . GET GET GET GET GET!!!

I get a little bit of an evil Doink vibe off Kizarny. And that's a good thing.

It's possible. He'd probably only choose 3-4 actual Rumble matches and choose the rest off of regular matches. That or he could do a Top 10 Battle Royal Special since Legacy pushed the fact that there'd be many of those aired in January.
-
I'd definitely agree there. For the price of two WWE dvds/year, you get about 200 new hours of content plus anything that was posted before signing up. I dig the Hotbeds lineup and I'm sure the Fink's special will be good stuff. I've always been a Survivor Series and Royal Rumble mark so Nov and Jan should be fine months.

What Wrestling Shirts Did You Own?
MillenniumMan831 replied to Diamonddust's topic in General Wrestling
Among those I used to own and wear but don't anymore for whatever reason are: - Kurt Angle, It's True It's True - Kane, Kiss my Ash (not my proudest shirt in retrospect) - Cactus Jack (best received of the past shirts) - nWo black/white - Chris Jericho, Highlight Reel (Pacified the fact that I'd likely would never own a WCW Monday Night Jericho shirt) - Raven's WCW shirt (Always liked this shirt but it fitted awkwardly and the Raven logo on the front was a little low for my tastes) - HHH (Just a black shirt w/ 3 blue Hs on them, nothing on the back other than the WWF scratch logo) Current (Some I wear more than others): - Road Warriors (Arguably the best received public shirt of my current stash) - WCCW - ECW ONS 05 - ECW (The 2007 logo) - WWE's 1st Sandman shirt (I make it a point to have an open shirt over it since I hate the back of it) - WWE's Greatest Managers shirt - A white Jake The Snake Roberts shirt I got from Steve & Barry's - Hot Rod shirt Future: - Am expecting a white AWA shirt in the mail in the next few days -
They were taken down since neither one of the links worked in the first place. According to Legacy, they'll be added midday Monday. EDIT - Updated the list on Page Six.

WWE 24/7 Classics OnDemand General Discussion

I swear Funk and Adonis had to have had a friendly competition in 1985-86 as to who can be the better stooge and oversell the most. -
Let's Talk About... The Apter Mags
MillenniumMan831 replied to Cheech Tremendous's topic in General Wrestling
My first Apter mag (Actually, it may have been Main Event magazine) had an article about the title-for-title match between Randy Savage and the Ultimate Warrior at MSG in early 1989. I still remember a pic of the jeans-wearing Rick Rude distracting Warrior as he would go on to lose by countout. Also had a pic of Vladmir & friends' "The Madness is Back!" sign. I figured there would be no way in hell I'd ever get to see that match. That is until Coliseum Video released one of their 60-minute videos that had that match on it. Didn't quite live up to the internal hype I created for the match but nothing could have. That said, it was a pretty swank match w/ awesome heat. -
Dual deals. Dual deals? Yeah, like if you have a tv at home, now you have two tvs in the middle of it. That's progress.

Looks like Dreamer landed right on his external occipital pretuberance.

WWE To Now Exclusively Call Their Talent "Entertainers"
MillenniumMan831 replied to Enigma's topic in The WWE Folder
Striker said something about Dreamer (it may have been someone else) realizing his dream to get into the Entertainment business last night. -
Probably an Easter Egg for the Armageddon 08 dvd.

Do these 'extra' vids work for anyone?

As someone who went to many house shows at the Richfield Coliseum, I found the dim lighting for SS87 charming.

I've seen every ep in the last few weeks and my only comment is . . . Brandi Mae is a cutie.
