Damn, all three non-elimination matches are from Smackdown. Lookin forward to hearing JBL get plenty of mic time.

What do you think WWE is? Subway?

Stupid question coming up . . . What was the deal w/ Creed taking a picture of Stanley's stuff? (May have been a producer's cut scene, missed the original airing) I know he ended up selling Dunder Mifflin's stuff.

Being someone who didn't get cable until late 94, Challenge was my favorite show growing up. Sure, there was little to no storyline developments as compared to SuperStars, but an hour of Monsoon/Heenan was all I needed to start my Sunday right.

WON News + Notes - November 13th
MillenniumMan831 replied to The Decemberists's topic in The WWE Folder
They should make Batista a deacon again. That's the ticket. -
Yeah, one more elimination match would suffice.

Got the Piper dvd in the mail yesterday. Didn't get through the whole documentary yet. Pretty good so far, but basic. It came w/ a 4th dvd of Piper's Pits . . . only a 12-minute disc though.

I remember hearing an audio interview of Bonnie and she seemed like a sweet woman. That said, she's no bullshit when it comes to dealing w/ anything McMahon. She probably took the Steamboat name so Ricky wouldn't foolishly sign it over to Vince. I'm sure if Steamboat needed the name for a night, Bonnie would be more than happy to allow it. However, Vince's ego wouldn't let that happen either. Also, I doubt Ricky or Arn are the type to want to go out there and turn into another Paul Orndorff on ppv.

Who else wants to hear Vince open the pay per view with . . . "TEAM CAPTAINS TTTRRRRIPPPLE H AND EDGE JOIN FORCES WITH THEIR RESPECTIVE TEAM MEMBERS SHAWN MICHAELS, EDGE, JEFF HARDY, JOHNNY NITRO, MATT HARDY, GREGORY HELMS, CM PUNK, ALONG WITH MIKE KNOX! WCW facts, tidbits, and stuff people forgot

They sure did. In fact, at the tail end of WCW, they split as a team and Wright went back to his well-known techno tune he was famous for. -

I remember the announcers putting over Armstrong for staying alive in the double elimination tournament as if he's getting a nice push . . . unfortunately, I don't think any of his 'wins' were televised and he was doing his dutiful jobs as if no tourney was going on. At least he got a CW Title shot at Slamboree 96 because of it. -
Which is something even Russo acknowledged in his shoot interview a couple years ago.
-
I don't have any problem with that announcement. The booking of the match itself will be putrid, but on paper, not bad. With no hot feuds in WWE/ECW, this would be the perfect time to load up the ppv w/ elimination matches . . . I know I know, not happening.

Pretty much echoes my sentiments of TNA.

102 Reasons Why Chris Jericho is better.....
MillenniumMan831 replied to RonL21's topic in General Wrestling
Damn, I remember reading a tidbit in WCW Magazine about how Jericho was the 1st to defeat an nWo member and win a championship from the nWo. Eh well, at least a Teddy Long protege managed to pick up a post 1992 win on ppv. -

57. He's still waiting for his Loverboy tape to be returned. 58. 1st wrestler to my knowledge to use a mouthguard (Uncensored 1999) "Ain't nobody bustin up my teeth!" 59. Managed to snag 2 WCW ppv wins despite being buried during this period. -
Make it a Fatal 4 Way w/ KC James.

50. Also first wrestler to defeat an nWo memeber (Nick Patrick at WW3 '96). -
CBS must agree. They didn't switch to that game after Denver/Pittsburgh ended. Other than Sgt Kellen getting big heat every time he catches the ball, it's a snoozer. Damn, this is a long game. LT just grabbed the onside kick and the Browns cover.
-
Cleveland's K Phil Dawson just racked up FG #6. I can't imagine any non-Brown or Charger fan being entertained by this game.

Here's the song Angle's theme was likely based on: Red_Rider___Lunatic_Fringe.mp3

Classic WCW Nitro, Thunder, & Saturday Night...
MillenniumMan831 replied to UseTheSledgehammerUh's topic in General Wrestling
He did haul the belt to the ring. It was weird to see nWo representation (being Aug 1996) on Saturday Night that wasn't in an empty Nitro arena. -
