If referrenced as Flash Funk in ECW, Styles will be quick to point out that he's of no relation to ECW Original Terry Funk.

How exactly did the show begin? I missed the first few minutes of it.

I know CNBC would show replays of Season 1 . . . can't remember if they did for Season 2.

WCW facts, tidbits, and stuff people forgot

Ah yes, this was 1995 since that's when I got cable. Definitely on WCW Pro. DDP did a weekly arm wrestling challenge. If anyone could beat him, he could have a date w/ Kimberly and I think a trophy. 90% of the challengers were jobbers that DDP easily disposed of. Van Hammer came out one week and DDP feigned an injury and left. Several weeks later, Hammer comes out again . . . but this time blocks the entrance w/ the guardrail . . . although he never did lock it, so in theory, DDP could have easily moved the rail back and left again, but it was a Sat morning show so they hooked horns. I believe Max kicked Hammer's leg to cause him to lose. The angle came to a head at GAB95 when Dave Sullivan beat DDP. Weeks before on Pro, DDP asked Dave where he'd take Kimberly if they went out on a date which inspired Dusty on commentary to bellow out "Take her honky tonkin!" -

If Droughns can cause another LB to be wheeled off the field, I'll be a happy man. It won't happen . . . the Browns will lose and with Cleveland's luck, will lose Charlie Frye for the year.

They're finally going to fire Eric Young.

I did enjoy how the Spirit Squad was too self-absorbed to really give a crap about McMahon.

Shouldn't it be he "low blew" Helms?

Thanks for those brackets. Talk about random, no wonder I couldn't remember them. I'm surprised the Kongs didn't try the ol switcheroo. At least they had some boss theme music . . . couldn't touch Vader's though. I remember Austin shooting this look to Ventura after losing to Train as if to say "What kind of roid monster did you just pair me with?" and Ventura shoot a look back as if to say "Too bad", which again must have killed Ventura. -

Super Crazy vs Carlito should be the next Intercontential Championship feud. Ah hell, just push Crazy as #1 Contender for the WWE Championship. How bad could it be? I wouldn't mind seeing Cena eat some triple moonsaults now and then . . . if Crazy is even allowed to do them. -

Trying to remember the brackets for the 1993 version is killing me . . . didn't really follow the 1992 tourney but used to have some WW eps on tape during the tourney. I wanna say Maxx Payne was also an entrant. Ventura trying to explain the logic of not entering a tournament after it already started to Rude was great cause it was killing his character to do it. "If the tournament isn't over, then how can it be too late?" --- Rude -

Never knew HOG was pals w/ HHH. I wonder if HHH was tight w/ Duke The Dumpster Droese as well. -

Who won the 2nd Annual Jesse the Body Arm Wrestling contest? It was on Worldwide each week in 1993. My affiliate pulled it the week of the finals . . . Ice Train vs. Vader. Some of the matchups were Ice Train squashing Stunning Steve (pre-Blondes breakup) and Vader beating the British Bulldog after Rude jumped Smith when Rude tried to BUTT into the tournament. I'd assume Vader won but was wondering if maybe Ice Train won and led to a title match on Worldwide or Sat Night? -
I'm now 1-1 . . . If I would have started Rex Grossman instead of Matt Hasselbeck, I would have won. Hell, I think I'd might have won if I started David Carr. Never thought I'd type that.

Saw it at the dollar theater yesterday and never could get into it. The overkill on the swearing was a turnoff and the donkey scene just seemed to drag and drag. But what bothered me most was a section of people in the theater completely overselling every joke. That said, Rosario was a sight to behold . . . yeah, I'd polish her nails too.

The Brain was fine w/ it afterwards but it startled him enough to let out a ripe Fuck on the mothership.

That WorldWide was very surreal to watch. I remember they didn't have the usual WCW intro. They just flashed the WCW logo and played this weird music. It was kind of funny because it was the weekend after the final Nitro. I think it was Tony and Scott Hudson hosting and they seemed to be really sad when signing off. I'm surprised it didn't air 2 weeks after the final Nitro since for the last year or so of the show, all the Nitro highlights were from 2 weeks ago . . . or maybe my affiliate was a week behind . . . I dunno. -

Has anyone ever seen Perfect miss the gum swat? I haven't. -
NBC Universal didn't give the match enough promotion.

Agreed. Yeah, there was a foot between Linda's head and the stage but it still rocked. I even taped the Bottom Line that weekend just for that segment. Arn Anderson's frantic reaction afterwards was priceless. AA: What happened? Did she get chokeslammed? Coach: Kane tombstoned her. AA: He WHAT?!?!?!?!?

Hell, I love that song. It leads off their Greatest Hits album. Always thought it would make a good tune for an ECW music video.

In the same breath, if someone said Issac Yankem was coming back to play some Kane character, no one would have bought it for an instant. Secondly, if Spivey would have signed w/ WWF in 97, for the love of all that is pure, they couldn't be dumb enough (in 97) to pass on a Waylon Mercy return . . . ya know what I mean?
