I got The Crystal Method's Vegas the other day, and it's honestly in my top five favorites ever. Last gasp for techno in the mainstream since, but what a way to go out.

This is something I wanted to post in the Movies folder, but since this is going to turn into a thread of lowbrow, potshot pictures, why not.

So yeah, this was my desktop for a while a couple of months ago, but it's still a neat picture some of you may not have seen yet.

And there's my learning for the day.

If you'll notice, the Star Wars films have a very unorthodox construction. No opening credits at any point whatsoever. This was the superficial problem, but a big reason the DGA raised a stink was because Lucas refused studio funding after ANH, because then he'd have to kowtow to the whims of the director's guild and all the other trappings that come with signing for funding from a major film company. After ANH, 20th Century Fox just did distribution of the film and got a good bit of the profit so they did marketing also. Lucas's real cash cow is the merchandise (duh). That would be Bossk.

There's gotta be a guy Lucas employs to come up with all of these names. Everyone in all of Star Wars has had a name, no matter how insignificant.
