    YOUR Quarterly ESPN Sucks Thread

Then why not provide the actual reason it's not available, instead of just saying that no one knows and people at another forum are stupid? Considering the incompetence with which Comcast handled my cable install when I recently moved, I'm skeptical about them having a national sports network...

Oh, those Minor League teams and their kooky ideas

Clever promotion. Thumbs up. Odds are, if these players are both good, the score will be 0-0 or 1-1, or something similarly low-scoring thru the two innings they play.

    One man, one mission:

I thought the number was dubious, but even if it's inflated by a factor of six, this cocksucker needs to sit in a nice, sparky chair for a few minutes.

Yes. And I think you're being kind to them.

    ICE CREAM SURVEY

Eh, I don't have a preference, really. If I get soft-serve, it's always chocolate. Frozen custard is a little tastier than plain old soft ice cream, I've found. For store-bought stuff, I'll usually try some weird Ben & Jerry's flavor, but it's hard to go wrong with mint chocolate chip.

Douche Mark Buehrle makes ridiculous accusations

    "Who is Karim Garcia?"

    One man, one mission:

No. We'd need some kind of a metric to apply it to these cases, though. Feeling up one kid shouldn't get you the chair. A clear pattern of behavior, established over years, however, should, especially when a large number of children have been affected. So where is the line drawn? 10 kids? 100? 1000? Nope. While I seriously doubt he'll get the death penalty, we can take comfort in the fact that this motherfucker is definitely getting a shiv in his back not long after he gets to jail.

    Clear skies indeed

I'm not in the global warming camp. We've gotten way too much junk science and acted too quickly on it, from saccharine to radon. I think scientists drum up scares like this so they'll keep getting grant money, even though they know they're creating a panic over nothing. They know the media will report it in an "OMG WE'RE ALL DEAD~!" fashion, and the rest will follow from there.

    Michael Jackson verdict coming

I think someone will shoot Michael if he embarks on a big tour, be it as a solo act or with his brothers. A lot of people are convinced he did it regardless of the verdict, and I wouldn't put it past some idiot somewhere to just blow him away for his "crimes."

The latest twist in the Schiavo case.......

What stupid motherfuckers. I hated her parents from the start of this for their simple refusal to deny reality, but I always figured they'd come around after the autopsy. Apparently, they're even stupider and more stubborn than I gave them credit for.

    Michael Jackson verdict coming

"Do You Remember" the last trial? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You want to be startin' somethin'? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Guys, that's really "Bad."

    This Week in Baseball

Something like that. Throwing the ball 97-100 mph doesn't matter much when the goddamn thing is straight as an arrow and flat as a board. BJ Ryan finally took over the closer's job this year, and has been lights-out in that role. Julio is a head case who gets to pitch in less pressure-intensive situations now.

    Can anyone educate me about

He was a commie who killed quite a few people. And commies aren't cool.

    Deep Throat Revealed!!!!

So the Jews killed Kennedy and got Nixon tossed? And they control the media and banking? OMG~! ... really, that all seems like a reach. Some idiot always blames the Jews for everything.

What a complete non-story. Gee, it's over thirty years after Watergate, and the guy is past 90. Who gives a shit?

    Happy Birthday, Kahran Rasmus

The quarter-century mark... it's really downhill from there, take my word for it. Oh, and happy anniversary of your birth.
  22. In the sense that it's another "scandal" overblown by the left and their patsies in the press, yes. Just like the defiling of the Koran that every mainstream publication tripped over its own feet to publish. I'm not taking AI's word for anything. They haven't been to Gitmo, and they have a clear interest in making the United States look bad. In fact, AI encourages other countries to detain American citizens and dignitaries; perhaps they feel that some kind of perverse quid pro quo is in order. Perhaps some abuse went on at Gitmo, but it is not a matter of policy to abuse prisoners, and those responsible for the isolated incidents are always held accountable. Sorry, Comrade, but the latest ministrations of the Politburo hold little value for me. The United States has a better human rights record than anyone else. Amnesty, and their agenda, can go sit on a big cock.

Athlete you thought was gonna be great...

I was going to mention Ben McDonald. I still remember the first time he pitched in a game. He came out of the bullpen, induced an inning-ending double play, and got a nice ovation from the Memorial Stadium crowd. Personally, I think McDonald was just a head case who liked to do stupid things like wrestle alligators, and tried to coast on his natural talent without really working toward becoming a better major-leaguer.
