On a related note, I fancy girls who can drive manuals. It just makes them cooler to me, for some reason. Every girl I've ever dated could drive one.

MusicMatch has an option for volume leveling, but it's only on the versions you pay for (or crack), not the freeware.

Reeve was conscious and alert. He could speak. He could interact. He could memorize lines and still be an actor. Terri Schiavo simply exists.

Al, what about using Ruth in my rotation, in addition to the everyday lineup? Would the sim have him become tired and shitty? Also, I want to use Oriole Park at Camden Yards as my home stadium.

100, and you can change it yourself from within your user control panel.

Mexico finally speaks out on illegal immigration

Wouldn't that be hearsay, and thus inadmissible?

Thomas Haden Church cast as villain for Spider-Man
Dr. Tom replied to EdwardKnoxII's topic in Television & Film
Dunst looked better in the first movie because she wore a red wig, which made her hair look more like MJ's hair should look. For the second movie, she died her hair, and the color was noticeably off. She also looked thinner and less healthy in the second movie, a trend she should reverse before shooting begins on the third. I'd actually like it if Harry *didn't* become the Green Goblin -- if he saw the costume and equipment and realized that's what made his father such a lunatic toward the end. I think Raimi actually mentioned this possibility, and I'd like to see them go that direction. We've already seen Spidey vs. the Green Goblin, and, considering how gay the costume looked the first time, I really don't want to see it again. -
This is how the ABERDEEN IRONBIRDS~! roster is shaping up: C- Elston Howard 1B- Todd Helton 2B- Bobby Grich SS- Cal Ripken Jr. 3B- Robin Ventura LF- Frank Robinson CF- Lou Brock RF- George H. Ruth SP- Jim Palmer SP- Bert Blyleven SP- Mike Mussina SP- Carl Hubbell CL- Trevor Hoffman I'll probably get another starter... unless I can use Ruth there every fifth day, since he was a pretty fine pitcher in his day. But figuring I can't, I want another starter, and then it's on to the bullpen and the bench. And first place, bichets.

It's obvious that he means this season when he says, "maybe by midseason." For the Giants' sake, they'd better hope he makes a quick recovery.

Good job, leaving blind kids without a mother. What an idiot.

As an atheist, I hate getting lumped in with a bunch of cretins who want to expunge all mentions of the word "God" from everything that could possibly be seen by human eyes. "Under God" is in the pledge? Don't care. "In God we trust" is on money? Don't care. Ten Commandments in public buildings? Don't care about that, either. Really, there are more important things to worry about.

Wow, General. I thought you'd be falling on the other side of this issue... Despite my general conservatism, most of that comes from econmics and foreign policy. I'm a social liberal. I think, if someone wants to die, it's their life and their right, but we have to know unequivocally that that was indeed their wish. In this case, we do not.

Actually, I rarely drink anymore, and haven't done much drinking for the past two years. As for the gambling, well... shuffle up and deal.

Explain, please. I do usually change vehicles every 3 years or so. However, I like my current car an awful lot, and was planning on buying it when the lease is up (which is early May). I drive a decent amount, but I got a 15k miles/year lease, and I'll be under that when the lease is up. It was much cheaper per month for me to lease than buy the car, which is why I went with it. How am I going to get screwed if I decide to buy the car when the lease ends?

Mexico finally speaks out on illegal immigration
Dr. Tom replied to kkktookmybabyaway's topic in Current Events
There doesn't need to be. The fact is that it would be absurdly easy for terrorists to get into the US from Mexico. That alone is enough reason to seriously upgrade border security and crack down on illegals coming across. -
I'm pro-euthanasia and pro-right to die. However, in absence of any actual, documented proof (ie, a living will) that she wanted to die, there is no legal option but to keep her alive.

I'd vote him in, but not very enthusiastically. His OBP, OPS, and HR numbers are very nice, but I'm troubled by the fact that he hit .201 over the course of a full season, and had three straight years where his BA was the pits. The steroid argument doesn't really enter into it, since I think it's very overhyped, and the DC Dog and Pony Show of last week is just more proof of that.

I'll have to try and be online then. Al, one thing I was wondering: are stats going to be era-adjusted in some way? For example, if I pick a dead ball era hitter, am I going to be stuck with the fact that his career high for HRs in a season was 6? Or does the sim account for things like that?

I usually get compared to Rush guitarist Alex Lifeson and golfer John Daly. I wish I could play guitar half as well as the former and hit a golf ball half as well as the latter. Actually, as my hair has darkened in recent years, going from platinum to dark blond, I don't resemble either as closely as before. And Daly is quite a bit paunchier than I.

Well, my lease is up in a couple mont... HEY!

I learned to drive on a stick, so I guess it's always been easy for me. I've only owned one car that was an automatic, and I despised it so much that I vowed never to get another one until I'm decrepit and my creaky legs won't let me drive a stick easily.

Well, I'm certainly up for taking in a game with my fellow TSM'ers.

And Robin Ventura for the 2nd one. This means I obv use Ripken at SS.

Elston Howard for #1.
