I guess I'm the dark horse here, but I'd go with Maddox. I'll believe KC's defense is better when they play against an offense other than Martyball. Maddox is a very accurate QB and he has three very good receivers to throw to. Also, don't buy the hype of the 49ers first-week offensive explosion. Yeah, they're good, but the Bears' defense is for shit.

And the Canadian version is so "awesome" that many Canadians come to America for surgery.

I can't stand that show. It's plausible if you believe that everyone associated with pro football is a first-division scumbag. Since I'm not willing to paint with that broad a brush, the "characters" (who are really just caricatures and stereotypes) come across as fake to me. ESPN should just stick to airing sports games and SportsCenter.

It most certainly is not. I pay $340 per credit hour (it went up from $320 in August), plus books. There are certainly cheaper schools, but considering I can get a degree faster thru them, and the government reimburses me, it's not that big a deal. I actually go to a live classroom, though, as opposed to the online programs, so the prices there might be different.

I hate you. Fucking DirecTV. They reach a whopping 10% of the country, yet they have the monopoly on NFL Sunday Ticket. I guess the NFL isn't interested in making money from at least half the country, all of whom are reachable by digital cable. I'd have it in a second if it were available. ::ponders calling Comcast and complaining to Rant about it anyway::

A New York 12 year old sued for file swapping
Dr. Tom replied to Steve J. Rogers's topic in Current Events
Her parents have money, though, and that's their point. Personally, I've found the RIAA to be excreable for years. Instead of embracing the wide availability P2P would give their products, they've chosen to fight the losing battle and refuse to update their business model. Fuck them. To me, file swapping is a form of civil disobedience, and I'm happy to be civilly disobedient. -
Dames, You can get a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Phoenix in about two years. I didn't want to wait a long time, either, which is why I went with UOP. Look into it.

And how much is the price going up? Between digital cable and cable internet, Comcast already loves me plenty.

Confessions of A Dangerous Mind
Dr. Tom replied to Brush with Greatness's topic in Television & Film
I agree. It's quite good. -
I've never liked "Werewolves of London," but I caught a Zevon concert on TV several years ago and was very impressed. He did a lot of very good, very irreverent, very darkly humorous songs. In pace reqviescat.

The only typing course I've taken was my freshman year of high school, and that was a long time ago. I know I don't use the "proper" typing -- I almost never use my pinkies, and I commonly hit the space bar with my index finger -- but I get about 65 wpm out of the method I use, and I never look at the keyboard.

I'm thinking the same thing.

Eye surgery is much better than contacts or glasses. It's been six and a half years since I had mine done, so I should get it touched up next year. My vision's not perfect, but with the advances in the technology made over the last seven years, I can probably get a few steps closer.

Goddamnit.

Yeah. You're definitely enfranchised. Seriously, though, I've seen people look a lot more "thuggish" than you. I rag on you for the retro gear here and there, but I thought that Celtics garb was *boss*. ANd I've worn team apparel quite often, usually in the form of NFL jackets, with the occasional jersey. I'm not a basketball fan, so I can't justify buying NBA gear, retro or not, no matter how cool it might look.

If you can't find it, there are always keygens available online... Um, so I've heard.

Don't be surprised if you get funny looks in public bathrooms, though.

I have to disagree there. I have zero love for Al Gore, but had he won the election, I have no doubt that he would have handled the events of September 11th in a similar fashion. Gore was never the typical peacenik Democrat, and actually had a voting history that was decidedly pro-military.

Yeah, I kinda gathered that from your posts in the 5000 threads that reference abortion. Since this one was about inbreeding and how it can possibly be regulated, I was hoping to avoid 5001.

DEFINITELY Texas Hold'em. I wouldn't even bother with other card games at a casino.

I plan to buy this game, despite my usual policy of not paying for software. The reason is simple: I've enjoyed quite a few of the past EWRs, which Adam worked on for free. Now that he has a chance to make money from the venture, I'd be a vulture not to support him by buying the game. It surprises me that so few of you seem willing to look at it the same way.

Most drives today are set to Cable Select as the default. I've never liked Cable Select, so I always set a drive as Master if I have to work on it.

I think it would be great if Clarett managed to make himself eligible for the draft, then went undrafted. It wouldn't happen, since some team would buy the hype on a fragile, irresponsbile head case who had one good season, but it would be tremendously amusing if it somehow did.
