It's a forum board, not a cult. We all don't have to think the same.

    Goldust Not Getting Renewed Contract

They did the same for D'Lo and I think* Raven. It gets their names out there so more people know instead of word of mouth and rumors. TNA (if they didn;t already know this was coming) are already thinking of things for Dustin and Indy promoters are probably trying to send him feelers already.

Randy Orton is not worthless. Well, not as a human being, but what worth does he have to the company? He's never had a *good* singles match (Even his "good" tag matches are debatable) He's boring as hell on the mic. He's not at all over. Not at all. He does nothing for ratings. What is their reasoning for keeping him? When they fire him. He's boring as hell on the mic. He's good on the mic. Kurt Angle is boring on the mic. He's not at all over. Not at all. He gets heat.Turn him face and He'll get cheered like he was getting on "smackdown". He does nothing for ratings. And Kurt Angle does? It's good to see I'm not the only one with a few beers in them.

We have no idea why he's being let go. It could be ::gasp:: his fault! I agree with Bob, though. Vince should give him rights to the Goldust name and character.

    Goldust Not Getting Renewed Contract

But WWE gave him a chance by booking him in those skits. Think of one of your SNL boys. If they weren't hired and book in those skits they would have never made a name for themselves and shown off their talent.

    Goldust Not Getting Renewed Contract

How did Goldust get over on his own when the WWE booked him to do the funny skits with Booker?

    Goldust Not Getting Renewed Contract

I also want to point out that there has been many reports over the last few months of guys being interested in TNA and asking questions about other places to work. Maybe Dustin was one of them?

    Goldust Not Getting Renewed Contract

They may have done that as a favor for him. This way he can start looking for other deals early and make indy bookings.

    Goldust Not Getting Renewed Contract

Hey, I'm just trying to make it a little more easy for you when they find him dead. I'm sick of every other month, or week, everyone boo hooing on here when these dick heads kill themselves from drugs and other shit.

    Injury Update

Spike should have been traded for Matt Hardy. On SD he could be more then the little man who takes sick bumps and add something to the cruiserweight division.

Everyone said the same thing about Piper, Crash and Hennig. Two dead, one crazier then ever and on his way out.

    Goldust Not Getting Renewed Contract

It will be interesting three months from now when Dustin Rhodes is found dead in his hotel room and everyone goes from "This sucks for Goldust and WWE are stupid" to "I don't feel sorry for Dustin and WWE were smart to fire him if he was on drugs." You know it.

    Goldust Not Getting Renewed Contract

The guys who been released by the WWE over the last year in a half don't have a great track record. Say a prayer for Dustin Rhodes.

    Micheal Kamen Dead

Composer Who Worked With Metallica, Aerosmith Dead At 55 11.18.2003 8:45 PM EST Composer, conductor and arranger Michael Kamen, who led the San Francisco Symphony in its collaboration with Metallica for the band's 1999 S&M album, died at home in London of an apparent heart attack Tuesday (November 18), according to his publicist. He was 55. Known for being something of a rock and roll classicist, in 1974 Kamen served as musical director for David Bowie's Diamond Dogs tour, and he's worked on orchestrations for Eric Clapton, George Harrison, Queen, Pink Floyd and Bob Dylan. In 1991 he arranged an orchestral version of Aerosmith's "Dream On" for MTV's 10th anniversary celebration, but it was S&M that truly introduced him to the consciousness of today's young rock fans. The album, whose title is short for Symphony & Metallica, was the culmination of two shows the seemingly opposing forces staged in Berkeley, California, in April 1999. Kamen, Metallica and the orchestra even took their show on the road, performing in New York and Berlin as well as at the Billboard Music Awards. The album sold more than 2.6 million copies and earned Kamen a Best Rock Instrumental Performance Grammy for "The Call of Ktulu." Kamen was also known for his scores and soundtracks, including music for the sci-fi comedy "Brazil," "Lethal Weapon" (for which he collaborated with Clapton), "Die Hard," "Road House," James Bond's "Licensed to Kill," "Mr. Holland's Opus," "X-Men" and other films. Working with Bryan Adams and producer Robert John "Mutt" Lang (Def Leppard, Shania Twain), Kamen earned his first Academy Award nomination, as well as another Grammy, for "(Everything I Do) I Do It for You," from the 1991 film "Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves." The soundtrack also won a Grammy for Best Pop Instrumental Performance. His second Oscar nod came for the score of 1995's "Don Juan DeMarco," which also won a Grammy for Best Instrumental Arrangement. Kamen was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis six years ago but only went public with his illness in September, when he was honored by the National Multiple Sclerosis Society at a gala dinner. In one of his last interviews, with trade magazine The Hollywood Reporter, he said he never let the disease control his life. "People in general ask me, 'Are you all right? Are you in pain?' " he told the magazine. "There really is no pain. There is some discomfort, and my walking isn't as good as it used to be, but I'm still able to conduct; I'm still able to get onstage and offstage; I'm still playing the keyboard and playing the oboe and singing. I'm writing music, and that hasn't slowed down. They talk about [MS patients] being overwhelmed by fatigue, but I think my life is so filled with stimulating things to do that fatigue just doesn't enter the equation." Most recently, Kamen directed the music for the 2002 Winter Olympics and scored Kevin Costner's film "Open Range." He was working on stage adaptations of "Mr. Holland's Opus" and "Don Juan DeMarco" at the time of his death. Kamen is survived by his wife, Sandra Keenan-Kamen, daughters Sasha Kamen and Zoe Kamen, father Saul Kamen, and brothers Jon Kamen, Len Kamen and Paul Kamen. —Joe D'Angelo http://www.mtv.com
  16. I love how these guys get "attacked," look fine, and then fall down on the ground to sell injuries to get law suits.

    VH1's Big in '03 Awards

This show won't air for another 2 weeks so if you don't want spoilers EXIT thread now. UNIVERSAL CITY, California — In a night dedicated to reality TV and Jessica Simpson's bowel movements, among other zany, year-end pop-culture tributes, it was a timeless, world-class a cappella performance by the venerable Al Green that gave everyone goose bumps at VH1's Big in 03 Awards. As Green's "Let's Stay Together" filled the Universal Amphitheatre Thursday, presenters Katie Holmes and Bernie Mac began a waltz that inspired fans of even "The OC" to grab a partner and sway. Just minutes later, they'd be da-donk-da-donk-ing to Outkast's Andre 3000, who gave one of the year's most captivating — and most Pepto Bismol pink — live performances, with "Hey Ya!" Airing November 30, the show that is a hodgepodge of music, movies, TV and politics doled out shiny trophies for offbeat honors such as Biggest Gay Hero and the Big Quote of 2003, which went to famed President Bush bad-mouther Natalie Maines of the Dixie Chicks. "There's an old Texas expression," Maines said, accepting her award from Bill Maher. "If you don't have anything nice to say, go to London and say it in front of 2,000 people." When speeches turned to war and politics, hosts Aisha Tyler and D.L. Hughley kept things chill by playing dress-up, both together and with others in attendance. At one point, Tyler, armed with a cell phone and a pink velour suit, and Tracy Morgan, clad in Red Sox gear, gave an "SNL"-worthy impression of Ben and J. Lo. Earlier, on the anti-red carpet — it was powder blue — Morgan grew serious when talking about the recent molestation allegations against Michael Jackson. "It makes me sad," he said. "I grew up with Michael's songs. I pray for him. I pray for everybody." The blue-carpet buzz was also on Beyoncé, who arrived late from the Vibe Awards, held the same night, to claim the Big Entertainer of 2003 award; and no-show Hilton sister, Paris, and her recently uncovered sex tape. "Things could be better," said her sister, Nicky, wearing a fresh Australian tan and a white, down-to-there gown. "Paris is at home. With Tinkerbell [her diamond-studded Chihuahua]." For a show centered loosely around trucker hats and guilty pleasures — like fantasizing about the Olsen twins — the music was seriously heavy. Opener Kid Rock, accompanied by arm candy Pamela Anderson, gave an explosive rendition of his current single, a cover of Bad Company's "Feel Like Makin' Love," swinging his stringy hair about and clawing at his plugged-in acoustic guitar. Mid-show, Matchbox Twenty, taking a break from their More Than You Think You Are tour, received a standing O for a spine-tingling version of their hit single, "Bright Lights," which owed its rich sound to a full orchestra, frontman Rob Thomas' finger-slamming piano licks and guitarist Adam Gaynor's whacked-out chord progressions. Perhaps nothing defines the year in pop culture better, though, than farm boy/ "Punk'd" host Ashton Kutcher receiving the award for Big Stylin' from his co-rat-packer P. Diddy. Well, either that or Hilary Duff, after beating out 50 Cent for the year's Biggest Breakthrough, eating nachos out of her trophy. Your pick. This report is provided by MTV News I know these shows are nothing to take serious, but their fun.

    A Note to Admins

Speaking of gimmicks. Please don't ban Abobo. That gimmick poster cracks me up.
  20. Why Scott Hall always come out with his arms out like he was flying? Maybe he was flying off something and trying to keep his balance? Nevermind...

    TV's First Casualties

Tru Calling looks like a good show but they put it on Thursdays. I record Smackdown on one TV and record Friends usually in the other room. No room for anything else.

    Do you own any guns?

I sympathize. I once had to decapitate someone after he touched my Huffy, and no one does that to my ride. The streetz iz tough, yo. My "friend" shot me in the hand with a B.B. gun when I was 10 and it broke skin. They had to pop it out. Still have the scar. Yeah, I'm bad~! Edit: Matter of fact, another "friend" stabbed me in the same friggen hand with a hunting knife when I was 15. He did that thing where you hold the knife by the handle and cover the blade with your other hand. Then act like you're going to stab someone but at the last second pull the knife back and push off with your other hand and make it look like you stab the person. Well, when he did that my first reaction was to put up my hand and I ended up having 1/4 inch of the blade go into my muscle right below my thumb on my palm. Idiot was laughing until he realize he stabbed me.

    New Matt Hardy Commentary

I think that joke went over everyones head. Matt could teach Edge a thing or two about writing these columns.
