    Hell In A Cell

I thought the match was boring last night. I don't need guys doing flying head butts off the top of the cage through the Spanish announce table, but I want more action. Time to make it more of a midcard/smaller guy match. If Triple H and Taker don't want to push it, lets see what matches guys like Benoit, Eddie, Christian, Orton, Edge, RVD, Jericho and HBK can all have together in there.
  2. Why do a preview like this when the fuckin' results are right on the front page?

    Final Smackdown Rating...

    Speaking of our hero...
  5. Former WWE Champion gets mixed reviews in Vikings tryout... The St. Paul Pioneer Press has a story today on Brock Lesnar's Friday tryout with the Minnesota Vikings, as the former WWE Champion's quest to make an NFL team gets underway. About a half-dozen other teams have shown interest in working the NCAA Heavyweight wrestling star out. Scott Studwell, the Vikings' director of college scouting: "He is a project with a capital P... He's got physical tools, but he has a long way to go... Is his first step up to par? No. Is his footwork up to par? No. Is his hand speed up to par? No. He's just raw, just as raw as they come from a football-playing perspective... He's not raw from an athletic standpoint... He is talented. He is a good athlete. He has a history of achievement. And you know he has a work ethic... Is it a shot in the dark? Yeah. How long would it take him to come up to speed? How long would it take us to find out if he can play?" Brock Lesnar: "I know I'm raw. I know I need work... I'm a project. I'm looking for someone to mold me... This isn't a publicity stunt. This is the real deal... It's something I want to do. I don't want to wake up when I'm 50 years old and say I should have tried." Vikings' Coach Mike Tice: "If I have a roster spot, then we'll figure out where we need help and where we need to try a guy, including a Brock Lesnar... I also told him to hire a former NFL player who played on the defensive line. He doesn't need to go to a gym... What he needs is football... If two weeks from now he's healthier and has gone through workouts, we'll talk about the possibility of taking him to camp... I like the kid... Anybody, including us, has to have patience, because he's raw. If you have patience, which we've shown here, I see a little bit of glimmer there. If you see opportunity and have a roster spot, why not roll the dice?" At the tryout, Lesnar ran a 4.75 40, faster than most Vikings defensive linemen. Lesnar is recovering from a pulled groin and bruised pelvis, broken jaw and busted left hand that he suffered in an April motorcycle accident in April.

    SmackDown from JHawk's Beak

WWE Smackdown did a 3.0 rating this week with a 5 share. That is down from a 3.2 last week and is another horrible rating for the show. Credit: PWInsider.com

    Byte This! Report

Hosts are Tommy Dreamer and Mark 'Mike' Lloyd. Segment One: Sylvian Grenier Mystery guest - Sylvian Grenier! Tommy reveals that he and Spike Dudley were the first people La Resistance ever beat on RAW. It felt good winning the titles in front of his home town, as well as the chance to be able to wrestle two veterans like Benoit and Edge. He was shocked by the crowd response, both he and Rob Conway were wondering about the reaction before the show. Tommy likes La Resistance's new finisher, which Conway has called 'The Ego Trip'. Sarah from California asks if Grenier prefers working with Conway or his former tag team partner Renee Dupree. Renee was younger, and it's hard to be taught by a younger guy. Rob Conway knows the business and been around for 8 years. For Grenier's career, it would be better to be with Conway at this time. Dreamer points out that a lot of people are saying that if it wasn't for Edge's mistake, then they would still be the tag team champions. La Resistance are going to prove to everyone that it wasn't due to that mistake that they won the belts. Dreamer predicts Edge and Benoit to win. Always bet against Tommy Dreamer. Segment Two: Christian Joined by Christian, who is pleased with his introduction. Dreamer points out that the only title Christian hasn't won is the heavyweight championship. The most popular question for him has been why he hasn't been on WWE tv recently. He injured his back in the recent cage match against Jericho, and is now taking care of it. He took a big fall, and sees that superplex as the final straw after 10 years of wrestling. He had a 6 year streak of not missing any time for injury. Lloyd remembers a match in Chicago where Christian wrestled with a strained neck. When he walked out of the curtain he couldn't even feel the injury. One of the things Christian has learnt to enjoy during his away time is lying on his couch and watching tv, but realises how much he enjoys what he is doing. On when his Peeps can expect him back, Christian does not have a definite date, but hopes it is in the not too distant future. Cara from Seattle asks if he will ever get back with Edge. Christian agrees that there were one of the best tag teams ever and you could never say never to a reunion. Christian has put Tyson Tomko in charge of Trish and is not worried about anything going on between them. Not paranoid like Jericho. On Jericho vs. Tomko – the problem will be solved on Sunday. Amy from Connecticut asks if Christian would go back and do ladder matches? While he thinks it would not be a smart idea in the immediate future, when the time is right he would definitely consider it. Dreamer says that although Christian broke his finger a few years ago, he holds no grudge. Beatrice from Toronto asks who Christian thinks is the most underrated wrestler in WWE. He believes that Jericho has been a great wrestler, and for some reason he's always seen him as underrated for how he is. Lloyd asks if Christian has goals. If you want to excel at something, you have to have goals and he would love the chance to compete for the championship one day. Cliff from Connecticut asks how his cage match against Jericho ranks with the other great matches of his career. It was definitely up there, although Christian would have liked to have done a few things differently. He and Jericho had a great rivalry, which ranks up there with his favourite. Any plans on either growing his hair back or reintroducing the Peep Show? He has no plans on growing it back, and finds it easier to manage now. He even styles it himself! Cliff asks about his favourite TLC match. Christian reveals that it was the one in Houston at Wrestlemania. That one had a great feeling with Rhyno, Spike and Lita’s involvement. Although the first ladder match with the Hardyz at No Mercy certainly put them on the map. He was nervous about being on Byte This, he’s not so good at speaking about himself, but is informed by Tommy Dreamer that he did okay. Segment Three: Chris Benoit Joined by Chris Benoit, announced by Dreamer as the man most deserving of the WWE title. Mark's going to get stretched by Benoit. He is looking forward to this Sunday in his match against Kane as it is both a chance to defend the title, and a challenge to work with the contrast in size. Lloyd points out that he will have two gruelling matches in on night, which for Benoit brings back memories of the J-Cup tournaments in Japan. He likes the chance to better himself and will admit that you never stop learning. He feels confident that he will become the champion as you have to walk out of the curtain knowing that you are the best. Benoit found it a bit nerve-wracking when Kane instantly got out of the Crossface, and felt the same strength from Kane that he did from Tonga (Meng) early in his career. Benoit has heard from the beginning of his career that he wasn’t good enough to make it, which merely fuelled him and made him want to prove them wrong. It is up to you whether you want to make the criticism positive or a negative. Did he see the Eddie special on television? No, but he heard a lot about it. Wants to see it and considers Eddie the most inspirational person he's met in his career. After they had been through so much, they were always told they wouldn't be enough but stood there at the biggest event in WWE history holding the titles. Benoit hopes there is a message sent out that whatever problems you face, if you want it deep down in your heart, don't let anyone tell you that you can't do it. Josh from LA asks about the prospect of an inter-promotional match between the two champions. Benoit loves wrestling Eddie - he's very aggressive and determined. He isn’t sure if WWE has considered it, but would certainly not decline it. On Dreams Take Flight, two planes were devoted by Air Canada and he, Eddie and kids from the programme flew to Disney World and spent the day there. Benoit notes that the kids face big obstacles, and to see them have such a good time was both amazing and touching. They shouldn't be facing those kinds of challenges. John from NC asks about the motive behind leaving WCW? Benoit thinks the issue has been covered too much now, but believes it was the situation with the company and the management that took away the passion which he had for the business. He found himself actually disliking going to work. He had always dreamt of being a wrestler and never imagined hating it. Tommy Dreamer tells Benoit there is no need to be politically correct on Byte This and admits that WCW sucked, to which Benoit agrees, adding that it both sucked and swallowed. However, he isn’t bitter and no longer feels any resentment towards the company. Benoit was angry at the time, but now he sees it as a good learning experience. He wouldn't be who he is today without it. Roberto asks how wrestling in Mexico was. Benoit was surprised at both the turnout and the reactions. The fans follow the product closely and knew who everyone was. It was a great experience. Cohee (sp?) in British Columbia asks when his tooth got knocked out. Benoit isn’t sp sure, and doesn’t really remember the individual experiences like that. The only comparison that could be made to WWE of all the organisations he has been in is WCW, and the difference is laughable. There are completely different styles in Mexico, Japan, Europe and even ECW. Tommy points out that a key difference is that in WWE, you actually get paid to wrestle, unlike ECW. Curtis from Peterborough, England - asks about the possibilities of either an Autobiography or a DVD. There is a DVD in the works at the moment, and Benoit is happy with it, especially that there will be matches from other promotions on it. He has no time to write a book yet and even if he did, 3/4 of the stories he couldn't actually put in the book. Benoit was talking to Bret Hart about his book. He believes that some of the stuff that happened on the road should stay on the road… Tommy sees him as the best in the business. Wrestlers say that you can't have a bad match against Benoit. He always likes to face different challenges. You could work with the same guy 365 days a year and never have the same match. Creatively it's the way the industry is. Benoit considers wrestlers pro-athletes and pro-artists. Elizabeth from SC asks how Benoit prepares for a big match. He takes one match at a time and doesn’t get ahead of himself. Come up with the Crossface? Dean Malenko came up with the Crossface in Japan – the fans are educated in promotions like K1 in Japan, and Benoit wanted to come up with something original. The Man of 1,000 Holds lent one out to him and he’ll probably have to give it back sometime. Would Benoit allow his children to go into the wrestling industry? He hopes that whatever they do, that they can find something that they are as passionate about that he is. Segment Four: Victoria Joined by special guest Victoria, who Tommy thinks can both work and dance well. Molly is out of the fatal fourway and Trish has managed to weasel her way into the match. Stevie Richards broke up with her. On June 12th, Victoria is doing the Al Snow charity event, which begins at 11am in Mason, Ohio. Check out WWE.com for further details. Is she nervous about the match? She doesn't know how Lita and Trish get into the mix but will try to kick some BUTT. Gail is coming up with some funky submission holds. Victoria reveals that her turning into a good guy actually came as a result of beating Tommy Dreamer in a match on Heat. End of Show Credit: 411

    Ray Charles

John Ratzenburger Britney Spears. I've been waiting for her death for over a year now. Not because I want her to die, but I predict she'll get killer by a crazy paparazzi or murdered by a stalker or OD from coke, etc. Then she can "officially" be called the Marilyn Monroe or Princess Diana of this generation. It will forever be on the most "shocking list" and be made out to be bigger then Lennon's death.

    RVD interview

He's going no where. WWE is a steady pay check and they help him with his store. Also, he's getting older and been poisoned by WWE style. The young cats in ROH, TNA, Indies, would show this "old" dog up.

    Raw 6.07.2004

WWE RAW did a 3.4 rating this week off hours of 3.2 and 3.6. While the number is up from a 3.2 last week, it is still very low. The highest rated segment was a 4.0 for the overrrun. Credit: PWInsider.com
