That was my last attempt.

Now you're just putting words in my mouth. Here's my analogy broken down SAT style for your ass. sin : religion :: communist ideas : communism If I'm allowed to communist ideals despite not being a communist, shouldn't I be able to criticize religious ideals without believing in religion. Now do you see my point? We already went over this: Your analogy is off a bit...it should say: sin : religion :: communism : systems of government If you don't believe in systems of government, you shouldn't bother having an opinion on communism. And lay off the thought police bs. The only reason I first commented was because you were policing Keyes' thoughts.

Please learn how to write. If a concept is within a structure you don't believe in, that concept cannot possibly exist for you.
-
Your analogy is flawed. I never said religions don't exist. You said sin doesn't.
-
I would venture to say yes. We're all sinners. That's kind of a given. Sin is a concept within a religious structure which I do not believe in. Just saying. Then you shouldn't have an opinion on that concept. I don't believe in communism. Am I not allowed to criticize, using an *opinion* of some of their ideals? Your example isn't analogous to my criticism. The analogy really should be: "I don't believe systems of government exist. Am I not allowed to criticize communism?" Obviously....no, you're not allowed.

I installed my SBC DSL on Tuesday, and I've noticed a few problems as well. Today my computer is incredibly slow....the mouse pointer pauses all the time, and every time I click a link the computer freezes for a good minute or so before anything even registers. I thought maybe the firewall software might be the problem but I'm not sure.......

I just pray one can ask forgiveness after death...suicide is the only sin we can't confess.

Suicide is for cowards. Look what he's done to his children.

North Korea says they have Nuclear Weapons
Spicy McHaggis replied to UZI Suicide's topic in Current Events
The NK situation is the embodiment of Bush's concept of why we cannot wait until there is an imminent threat. The Japanese are probably shitting bricks if this is true. And now we're going to have to dance on egg shells to figure this out. -
What do the pro gay marriage people think of privatizing all marriage from the gov't and having only civil unions recognized?

Loss, do the words "living will" and "durable power of attorney" mean anything to you?

The general didn't say that.

Well then the world is a fucking moron. -
JOTW, Eric, Sek... Can you read?

Islamic terrorists promote a culture of death...we are against them, and one of our main differences is the purported culture of life. Of course, killing the unborn hurts that cause a bit.

Remember all that talk about torture & rape rooms?

Isn't that kind of the circumstances we went bombed Iraq under? Nope. There were several reasons listed for the war. -
Proposing anal sex during intercourse.
Spicy McHaggis replied to Giuseppe Zangara's topic in Brandon Truitt
Nah, she most likely wanted it. She probably was going for the double-whammy of getting off but still running the guilt-trip on you. -
Guy tries to kill himself, but decides to live...
Spicy McHaggis replied to kkktookmybabyaway's topic in Current Events
These are the parts that trouble me. I would almost be more understanding if it was at a grade crossing. But this guy intended to wedge in his car, probably to make sure he would die. The lesson is if you're going to take the cowardly, selfish way out while endangering other people, at least succeed in offing yourself. -
Exactly right, AoO. Corporate manufacturing would probably blow the cartels up faster than any other means. And I don't really get the moral objections. I mean, drugs aren't my thing, but I drink alcohol moderately. Abuse of anything is bad, but drugs can be used w/o being abused.

Swift Terror, the guy wasn't just at a crossing...he basically drove to a part of the tracks where cars don't normally cross, [speculation] probably to get his jeep stuck on purpose [/speculation]. VX, this wasn't an accidental killing...his objective wasn't to kill, but his actions were intentional. He knew the train would derail. -
Couldn't agree more. The War on Drugs is pretty much a waste. What really are the negatives of legalization?

Hypocritical????? Are you suggesting the U.S. is a tyrannical, terrorist state? Oh boy. Simply put, yes, I am suggesting that. See: Latin America, Middle East, Asia from the 70's to present. But we've had that argument in dozens of other threads so I won't reiterate unless you'd like to bump an older thread or start an entirely new one. Well that puts you at an extreme, fringe viewpoint and pretty much kills your credibility.
