He has alot of charisma. He just needs a good character to channel it through. As Goldust doing the stuttering gimmick on Howard Sterm was like the greatest segment on that show ever.
-
Yeah. I saw a pic of him with the white face paint in the black leather trench coat and it looked cool.
-
Platinum wouldn't have been gimmick infringement. It would be like those people who change just enough in a song so they don't have to pay licensing fees. I missed the whole period in WCW where he debuted as that Powder type character, but I would have liked to have seen him do that.
-
I agree. Dustin as the lonestar redneck sucks. Why couldn't they have debuted him in the platinum gimmick?
-
Goldberg is a draw. His first match in WWE vs. Christian of all people drew something like a 5.2 rating, which is like 2 or 3 million more people than usual. It isn't his fault WWE screwed him up and didn't use him properly.
-
TNA can afford him. The question is if Panda wants to spend that much.
-
They should have debuted Dustin in a new gimmick. His regular old redneck self sucked in WCW and I'm sure it sucked here. Of course everyone on the totalnonstop board wanted him to debut as his plain old self for the most part so that is probably why it happened.

I so said this back in September http://forums.thesmartmarks.com/index.php?...topic=41642&hl=

At my Best Buy they have an OVW dvd called future superstars of wrestling or something. It has people like John Cena and Rico on it. They also have a dvd box set of footage called Superstars of Wrestling or something which is like 5 dvds and has old footage of guys just starting out like Booker T and Steve Austin.

The first actual TNA liscenced product
BoboBrazil replied to The Ghost of bps21's topic in TNA Wrestling
They should try to get their dvds distributed before this. If they sold TNA dvds in places like Best Buy and Target and had them for rent in Blockbuster it would attract much more attention to them. Does anyone even buy trading cards anymore? This is better than nothing though I guess. I wonder how much money TNA gets from this. -
Dave Sherer was mainly the only one on that site that posted any news. 1wrestling.com is useless without him. Dave Sherer's new site is popup free:)
-
They tried this taped ppv thing before when they first started out and noone bought the taped shows, which is why they switched to live weekly pretty quickly.
-
I would like to see him come in TNA with another gimmick. Since Russo is back, he should be able to come up with something good for him. I do not want to see him as the "lonestar" redneck.
-
Isn't Explosion already on Sunshine? I know it was in late September/early October, but I lost access to tv shortly after that.
-
He can set the x division on fire!
-
Who cares? Playboy sucks cock. Whoopty doo 2 more fake blonde fake tit bimbos in an airbrushed to shit photo spread where they won't even show pussy.
-
I wouldn't mind seeing him in TNA if he came back with Hall and Xpac.
-
I told him what would happen to him over at wrestlingclassics right after he was signed. He didn't believe me. http://wrestlingclassics.com/cgi-bin/.ubbc...ic;f=1;t=036912 He is Z.

Tonight should be a really interesting show. I expect Goldust to debut(hopefully in a gimmick other than a redneck) and maybe even some other surprises. Too bad I can't watch TNA. I really miss it.
-
This should be pretty good for TNA. It should get them some attention on shows like Extra and Access Hollywood.
-
You know he is going to show up. Hopefully he won't be the redneck he played in WCW. What kind of gimmick should they give him? Maybe he could come in as the new leader of CM Punk and Dinero. They could be bragging that they have a new leader on the first show back and that he will debut before the end of the night. Have Raven be wrestling a match at the end of the show vs. someone when out comes CM Punk and Julio. They try to beat up Raven, but he comes back and knocks both of them out of the ring, when all of a sudden Dustin(in a new demonic style gimmick(maybe white face paint with blood dripping down his face) comes from behind and knocks the shit out of Raven to end the show.
-
Didn't they already do an evil santa killer movie or am I thinking of the evil snowman one?
-
Mike Barton looked pretty good the two times he worked for TNA. I don't know why they stopped using him. I want to see La Parka.
-
Is Dusty still even in TNA? I haven't watched in like 2 months. I read the results whenever I can get to an internet terminal, but I always forget like right after. Most people on the totalnonstop forum want him to team with AMW. I read on the TNA website that Raven is supposed to have a mystery partner on the January 7th show, so he could show up as the partner. Hopefully it is in a new gimmick though and not "Lonestar".
