WWE Sunday Night Heat: OMG, TWO HEEL COMMENTATORS!
BoboBrazil replied to Downhome's topic in The WWE Folder
Fuck, I didn't know Dreamer vs Yang would be on Heat. I would have tried to catch that match. -
Velocidential, don't be frontin' me.
BoboBrazil replied to The Czech Republic's topic in The WWE Folder
That was the best Outside the Ropes yet. Former best was the Jericho one. -
This is really fucking old news. This was in the torch like a month ago.

"I think I'll probably be going back to SmackDown as that's where I was when I left and I think they are trying to keep guys on the same brand when they come back." Riiiiiiiight. That is why everyone comes back from injury on a different roster like Bradshaw and Mark Henry.
-
HBK. I never really liked Bret Hart, except when he was heel.
-
I like James Storm, but not Chris Harris.

This week probably pissed people off when people found out that WWE told them basically to go fuck themselves and have nothing come out of the fire angle. I expect next week's rating to go back down. I do enjoy Kane in this angle. I didn't give a fuck about Kane with the mask and didn't evenw ant to see him on tv, but he has been pretty entertaining without it. Next week starts Monday Night Football also, so that will drop the ratings a little bit. You can expect the return of comments from Jim Ross like "you won't see hits like this in the NFL" or "you won't see athleticism like this in the NFL" meanwhile orgasming over wrestlers that have a football background and making sure he mentions it 20,000 times.

HHH seems like a pretty cool guy in real life. He always comes off as funny in interviews. He is out of control with the politics, but out of wrestling he seems pretty cool.
-
-HHH is scheduled to drop the title to Goldberg at this month's ppv and then after his honeymoon, come back and regain the title in November at Survivor Series. They are also planning to do the HHH babyface turn around this time. The plans are to have face HHH w/ Flair feud with a heel Orton who will lead his own group of young guys. This is Orton's main event push.Maven is a leading candidate to be one of the members. -Angle is battling alot of injuries, but won't take time off, because he thinks he has already took enough time of this year. He tore his hamstring in Japan and has been trying to train the rest of his hamstring harder so the other two muscles can take the place of hte lost muscle. He also has a dislocated shoulder. -Rikishi's contract expired and that is why you haven't seen him back recently. Supposedly he has agreed verbally to one and should be back soon. -There is talk of doing Raw vs Smackdown matches at Wrestlemania such as Kane vs Undertaker and Goldberg vs Lesnar. This would be Goldberg's last major match under his current contract. -There was talk of James Mitchell coming in to manage Mortis.

If something happened to HHH, Steph and Vince would still ruin the shows with shitty writing and putting themselves over. If you want something to happen to anybody it should be Steph first then Vince. HHH is a minor problem, but the fed was shit while he was out with injury and him being gone again wouldn't change anything.
-
Yes. If it was about ratings they would have stripped him of the belt a long time ago, because they went down even further with him as champ and buyrates for ppvs have steadily decreased.

Here are some more detailed spoilers from a rajahwwf.com reader: SMACKDOWN! APA vs. Best Tag Team Yadda Yadda ig pop for the first match, but afterward, dead crowd. WINNER: Best Tag Team sneaks out with the win (deservedly) Vince and Brock Lesnar arrive while Eddy is waxing his car. Brock is mad, and asking why Vince hasn't called him. Vince says he has been busy, and then hypes Brock up, calling him an animal and slapping him in the face! lots of "ooooh"s John Cena comes out to the ring to a VERY nice pop (he is getting over more and more each week) does a nice rhyme about Britney Spears and Madonna at the VMA's, whilst dissing Eddy Guerrero the whole time. Eddy comes out to fight in street clothes, but Cena hits him with the US Title and steals his ride! OH NOOOOS! Chris Benoit vs. A-Train Match was OK...we all were mesmerized by the patterns forming in Albert's back hair. i saw a squirrel, i swear. Rhyno interferes, and accidentally spears A-Train. Benoit covers. same old story. WINNER: Benoit Funny/sexy bit with Torrie and Nidia backstage...Nidia is practicing her sensual dance routine a wee bit too fast, Torrie tells her to slowwwww it down...very funny stuff you'll see Thursday Then, Nidia rubs oil on Torrie...on her shoulders...back...and...oooh my...her backside! wooo! SPECIAL BOURBON STREET BIKINI CONTEST! Dawn Marie/Sable/Nidia/Torrie Wilson What makes this a BOURBON STREET BIKINI CONTEST you may ask? why, beads of course! honestly, we here in new orleans are used to seeing a lot more flesh, so it was not as rowdy as i had hoped, but of course Torrie wins in a landslide. IMO, Nidia was the best...she "accidentally" racked Tazz with some beads when trying to dance sensually. very funny. Shaniqua comes out at the end and beats everyone down. WINNER: Torrie by a mile. Backstage: Big Show is holding Stephanie's door closed while Brock is inside pounding away on some "deserving victim". Vince refuses to let Stephanie in her office during the proceedings. Undertaker vs. Kurt Angle for the WWE CHAMPIONSHIP Incredible match! Angle and UT carry each other amazingly well. many, many reversals and kickouts of finishers. UT hits almost every one ofhis moves, but almost taps out to the ankle lock...then reverses again and finishes with the last ride...is about to pin, when Brock Lesnar runs interference, and smacks him and then Angle with a chair to get the DQ. crowd is pissed!! definitely a pro-Taker crowd. Lesnar decimates UT with the chair, that and the multiple ankle locks leaving him limping (and hamming it up, call the academy) for about 5 minutes. WINNER: Kurt Angle via DQ Tajiri vs. Rey Misterio for the CRUISERWEIGHT TITLE Massive cheers for Rey. subdued for Tajiri.mutual respect givin with a handshake between men. incredible match, as expected. very innovative reversals, and even a Tarantula attempt by Rey, but he was a weeee bit too short to pull it off. hehe. after a tough match, Rey gets the win with a top rope west coast pop. afterward, Tajiri goes to shake hands, but spits the green mist in Rey's eyes! possibly a great feud on the way! (thank god, the cruiserweights need a good heel) WINNER: Rey Misterio Vince McMahon comes out for a special announcement. Says that Kurt Angle will now defend the title in 2 weeks...vs. the new #1 contender...Brock Lesnar! in a special match...AN IRONMAN MATCH! YEAH! its about damn time!!! (the crowd didnt seem to know how cool that is ) Lesnar interrupts and appears right above me in the the baclony...saying Vince was right about how he is a monster (to lots of "you tapped out!" chants)...and brings out Zach Gowen in a wheelchair! one of his..well..one legs is in a cast, with his mouth gagged. Vince looks on and seems very worried about what may happen. Brock takes Zach to the stairwell, and after beating him out of his chair a bit, puts him back in...says that this is a special wheelchair, it can fly! and with that, rolls Zach Gowen down the stairs!!!! end on Lesnar looking like a MONSTER (we played the "monster" drinking game tonight) END

It said that James Mitchell most likely wouldn't accept the offer, because they wouldn't offer enough money for the role he would have, which is about $500 a week. He would make more money on the indies and in TNA.

Undertaker vs. Vince McMahon in a "Buried Alive Match" and Triple H vs. Goldberg in a World Title rematch are slated as top matches at Survivor Series... Eddie Guerrero told WWE.com that Smackdown in El Paso, Tex. last week was a career highlight. "It is indescribably, especially (going) from where I was two years ago [addicted to drugs] to this. I would have never imagined this again. You've got to be grateful and thankful to the Lord that I got a second chance just to start working again"... | Despite rumors floating out there, sources say Vince McMahon and Kevin Dunn do not have any inclination to replace Ross on Raw with Coachman. Although McMahon wishes Ross were more photogenic, Ross is considered so good in every other facet much more important to selling storyline and matches, that it's not a big concern for McMahon. Dunn is said to also be a fan of Ross's announcing. "Ross's sincerity is the measuring stick for all other announcers," says one WWE source. "You can't fake it or create it, as Coachman showed. Cole is coming along, but he used to have trouble with that, too." It is worth noting, though, that when Coachman guest hosts Raw, there tend to be a few more on-camera appearances by announcers during the show compared to when Ross hosts the show... One of the reasons some of the non-wrestling TV characters have been featured on house shows lately is a direct response to Ross expressing concern to McMahon about the situation. Ross is in charge of booking house show line-ups and thus drops in attendance reflected poorly on him. Apparently McMahon took the suggestion to heart and agreed that some of the non-wrestling characters featured on TV needed to go to house shows. Vince himself, along with Steve Austin, Eric Bischoff, and to a lesser extent Stephanie McMahon have made recent house show appearances... Regarding the pushes of Shane and Stephanie McMahon, the backstage feeling is a mix of resignation and frustration. "They're always going to be there," says one WWE insider. "Promoters have a blind spot for their kids, and the best thing to do is just accept it and move on. It's Vince's ball to play with." Adds another source: "I don't know of one instance anywhere where the boss's kid was pushed the most and it was good for the company"... The advance ticket sales for the 9/20 MSG house show are as bad as they've ever been. The main event is Brock Lesnar vs. Kurt Angle vs. Big Show vs. Undertaker, but ads otherwise don't mention any other wrestlers, but do prominently mention Vince and Steph... Ernest Miller has been taken off of Velocity as a color commentator, but is going to return to WWE in either a wrestler or manager role... Summerslam drew 16,113 paid for over $700,000 in ticket revenue... Last Tuesday during the stockholder conference call, Linda McMahon acknowledged that WWE is looking at marketing old WWE footage without violating their restricted use of the WWF letters. WWE has also acquired the AWA and ECW video libraries in the past couple of years... Goldberg talked the Raw writers out of having him squash Test in a match that was scheduled for the Aug. 25 Raw. Goldberg made it known that he felt he should sell the Evolution attack from the night before rather than wrestling on the show... The backstage feeling on Goldberg and Triple H among wrestlers is that there isn't a favorite. "It's a case of pick your poison," says one wrestler. Triple H has heat because he's seen as aloof and privileged, and lately that's been made worse because he, Kevin Nash, and Shawn Michaels have basically reformed the Kliq backstage and don't associate much with others. Meanwhile, Goldberg isn't any better. He keeps to himself backstage. Says one WWE wrestler: "He's not all the way smart. He's not with it yet. He thinks he's as good as he needs to be, as if there's no room for improvement. He stays to himself and has no respect for the business." In the ring, everyone prefers Hunter over Goldberg. "Everybody says everything Goldberg does in the ring is overwhelming. He doesn't have a soft touch at all. You have to really be careful in there with him." Also, Goldberg doesn't work many house shows, which would seem to cause wrestlers to want to see Hunter keep the title because their pay depends on house show attendance, and in general World Title matches help attendance. However, Hunter has been hurt so much lately that it's not a given he'll be healthy enough to work house shows. In other words, the WWE crew considers it a no-win situation regarding the debate of whether Hunter or Goldberg should be WWE Champion. Considering the announced stips for Unforgiven, it appears to be a foregone conclusion that Hunter will keep the title until then, and then drop it to Goldberg for a while. Rob Van Dam, often cited as the most over alternative to Goldberg and Hunter as far as the top slot is concerned, has buried himself so deep to Vince McMahon in his time with WWE that it's unlikely he'll ever be given a true top tier push. He gives off an arrogant attitude that he's the best there is, according to some wrestlers, and he has rubbed Vince the wrong way with his overly confident attitude. The feeling is he's so weak and one-dimensional behind the mic and so locked into his one style in the ring that he's not top tier material...Jerry Lawler pinned Triple H in a tag match in Memphis, Tenn. on Aug. 29... The plan now is to work toward a Triple H babyface turn later this year, leaving Evolution in the hands of Ric Flair, Randy Orton, and perhaps one or two new members (Maven?)... Regarding Shane McMahon, one veteran wrestler says: "Shane wants so bad to be one of the boys and will try anything to gain their acceptance. It will never happen"... The movie trailer for "The Rundown" starring The Rock includes the note: "In association with WWE Films"... Phil Mushnick mentioned in his New York Post column that Bran Bosworth, a new TBS college football studio analyst, doesn't list his XFL experience as a "vulgar, trash-talking TV commentator" on his resume... Jon Dalton, a contestant on the new CBS Survivor season starting this month, listed Pro Wrestling Torch as his favorite publication in his CBS.com bio. Dalton at one time was an assistant to Roddy Piper and was involved in a car accident with Piper. Dalton, known as Johnny Fairplay, has also promoted indy wrestling events and is well-known in certain circles of wrestlers. He is expected to be one of this season's most obnoxious contestants... -torch So, it looks like HHH is giving Goldberg the belt until the next ppv where he will win it right back, just like he did with HBK.

Negotiations for TV coverage in Japan
BoboBrazil replied to LucharesuFan619's topic in TNA Wrestling
Japan wrestling is a shithole just like American wrestling. Yeah they have some good smaller feds like Toryumon, but their main ones are in the shitter just like WWE. -
According to ps2.ign.com it was confirmed that they removed him from the game.
-
She's a dumb bimbo. She will probably just sit there and try to look pretty.

There is a rumor going around Titan Towers that Pete Gas, former Mean Street Posse member, called his old friend Shane McMahon and told him he was getting the itch to get back into the business. As the story goes, Shane told him that Stephanie has complete control on the creative end now and he doesn't, so there probably wasn't much he could do. A number of people in the company have told me that Shane has largely nothing to do with the creative end of the company. 1wrestling.com

One of the storylines that was changed before the show at Monday's Raw concerned Bill Goldberg. He was actually booked to come out and destroy Test but Goldberg reportedly told the creative team that it made no sense to have him do so and said that he had to sell the beating that he took the night before at the PPV. So, the compromise was made that he would sell the beating a little bit and the Test match was scrapped.. I have to give credit to Goldberg for looking at the big picture on that one. The thinking in the locker room is that the company wanted to make Goldberg seem like a monster for his upcoming match with HHH so they booked him to not be affected at all by the hammer shots. 1wrestling.com

<---laughs at Mary wanting to fuck Glen and ignoring Test the whole time.

Rest of spoilers: For next week's show: Juventud Guerrera b Teddy Hart - this had the most heat of the three tournament matches Chris Sabin b Frankie Kazarian - Aside from heel fans cheering Sabin, crowd not into this. Both matches went about 8:00 Sabin b Guerrera in 12:00 to win. Last few minutes were good but crowd not into it until the end. In the War Games, the faces won in about 16:00. After the match, Legend and Siaki jumped Rhodes. The New Church got Raven alone in the cage and did a number on him.
-
Haha that was great.
-
Fucking interference every time. I knew Jarrett would come out and save everyone at the end too. He does it every fucking time the faces are getting beat down.
-
Jarrett saving every face in trouble every week is so old. The crowd is turning on Jarrett again and booed him loudly during that runin.
