Actually Marc Mero went on to wrestle the following weekend at the UK only PPV Capital Carnage. They actually showed a clip of him saying that he would never again wrestle in the WWF if he lost and then a clip of him losing, just before the match. Jim Ross explained that he was carrying out his contractual obligations.
I believe it was their take on L. Brent Bozell head of the PTC (Parents Television Council) who was very anti-WWF at the time.
God knows where it was heading.

I can't for the life of me think why you would miss people like Mr. T, Brutus Beefcake, Kamala, King Kong Bundy, Hercules or Virgil. I mean, what the hell did they offer in the first place yet alone now?
No. The Horsemen should never, ever come back again.
It was bad enough when WCW would bring up the idea every few months in order to attract ratings. Besides, the Horsemen name has become tarnished thanks to things like Steve McMichael as a horsemen and the way WCW continually buried them. Choices like Big Show and Animal would only trash them even more.
I've nothing against WWE coming up with a new stable but please, not another Horsemen re-hash like Evolution was.
That is the most annoying thing about WWE commentators. They constantly feel the need to review the points of a story line while the match is going on in the ring instead of simply calling the action. That, or spewing a bunch of cliches and wrestler nicknames.
Ultimate X matches are overkilled and most of them are never too great anyway.

I like Ultimate X matches. However, the point is they are something different to "WWE Style" which could help to bring in viewers.
