    This Week in Baseball 5/26 - 6/1

Yeah, I'm guessing by the end of June, early July, they rattle off nine straight wins against divisional opponents and get right back in it. Isn't that how it's gone every year since 2004?

The Reds have just called up Jay Bruce! Official announcement and corresponding move will be made on Tuesday. Free at last. Now that 21-year-old better be the second coming of Josh Hamilton (okay no one is that good).

So one blown save makes it not worth it? He's been damn good all year, has an era around 2.25, and has been the reason why the reds led the league in save perc. before today. But way to make a stupid comment.

Just about 2 weeks ago you were singing his praises when he was hot as hell. Now he's a piece of shit? Will he transform again next week to appease you?

    Pictures I Like

YES! Heh...at first I was like "That's not a very good Leela," then I realized she was dressed as Amy Wong. Y'know I totally didn't get that first time round. I still don't get it, it just looks like a girl holding up a shoe box. Maybe it's because I don't know Amy Wong.

    The X-Files Movie

I was a huge fan for the first 7 seasons, and I liked the first movie. I just don't see how they can't incoporate at least a little of the mythology story into this, maybe at the very least a teaser at the end setting up the next movie.

    This Week In Baseball: 5/12-5/18

Has there ever been a trade like Josh Hamilton for Edinson Volquez. Hamilton is the american league player of the year so far while Volquez is now the majors ERA leader after beating cliff lee and going to 7-1 with an ERA of 1.33. You have essentially traded one potential player of the year for another, neither were projected to be that.

Jay Bruce is hitting .366 with 9 doubles, 5 triples, 8 home runs, 33 RBI's, with a on base perc. of .398, slugging .662 and OPSing 1.060 in AAA oh, and he has 7 stolen bases too Walt Jocketty said in a meeting with writers today that there is no place for Bruce due to the number of strong hitting left handed outfielders on the reds. I will personally drive Griffey's old ass to Seattle if that's what it takes. I swear to god if Bruce sits in AAA all year while I have to see Dunn hit .203 and Griffey hit .250 I will go down the stadium and start snipering people.

Cincy wins, but what a cost. Jeff Keppinger is out after fouling a ball off his knee, breaking his patella. He has a MRI tomorrow, and could miss the rest of the year if surgery is needed. Best case his knee will be immobilized for 4-6 weeks before rehab can start.

    Gas Price Check...

If gas hits 10 a gallon our entire economy will collapse, if you look at the big picture. The cost of everything would inflate beyond comprehension, as trucks and planes would still need to fill up in order to ship products to stores. Gas prices at the pump will be the least of your worries, food would double in price, basically all products would double in price. Honestly, at some point the govt. would have to step in and regulate gas prices or risk losing the country. Think about going from 1.35 in 2003 to 10.00 in 2010. If that happens this country is in serious trouble. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad, part of me hopes things become like the Wild West again (the clint eastwood, not Will Smith version)

    Airbag/How Am I Driving?

You might as well just get rid of the gulag now, seriously what's the point? The problem with it is that it's boring in it's execution, as the general population can't respond or post with people in whiny bitches. It becomes a blog of sorts for the poster there, one that really isn't that interesting to read. People who are sent there get tired of it and just don't post that much, I say either alter how things work there or just scrap it.

    Shawn Michaels as World Champion

The world champ has to make the house show dates, HBK wants no part of that. His body simply won't allow it, consequently he won't get more than a cup of coffee with the belt, and it seems he realizes and is happy with that.

    This Week in Baseball, 4/21-4/27

Marty is a good announcer, he just has a huge ego, and is a dick. Actually, it's kind of entertaining listening to him, as he'll rip on anyone, his own team, reds players, management, fans, he really just doesn't give a shit. I've never really heard another sports announcer so blunt about topics that most people won't touch. He knows he'll never be fired, no way, so he can basically call the game how he wants. Now he's got Thom on the anti-cubs fans banner too. Thom was talking about Wrigley Field, and how fans act has changed from when he broadcasted for WGN. He says it all started in 2003 with Bartman and how horrible it has gotten, how now Cubs fans have turned into his least favorite in baseball. He said it was a disgrace what they did to that kid, and now Wrigley is a haven for the lowest drunks who just look for a reason to act up.

    This Week in Baseball, 4/21-4/27

Marty now has a segment each game where he reads hate emails from chicago. Last night he was making fun of how stupid they all sound, making fun of one email where the person didn't spell several words correctly. He's really getting a kick out of all this and how upset cubs fans get.

    This Week in Baseball, 4/21-4/27

Reds have just fired Wayne Krivsky after their 9-12 start and have made Walt Jocketty the new GM. Also, Marty was talking to Jeff when he was upset, it had to do with Rob Buther (the reds pr guy) who was being a dick about not talking about potential roster moves.

Cubs saw through the Fogg tonight. See what I did there, that's almost gulag worthy right there.

King of the Ring tournament to return

Ugh, why does Kennedy get so much love around here? Is it because he does that lame gimmick of saying his name twice? He sucks in the ring, he's not very good on the mic and there isn't anything distinctive about him.

    This Week in Baseball 4/7 - 4/13

The lack of reds offense is frustrating, another game with 0 runs after 7 innings. Make that being shutout by the pirates, who used three lefties. Once again the reds struggle against left-handers, year and year out it happens. And once again it's another year where they have way too many lefties. With Griffey, Dunn, Votto, Patterson, Hatteberg, Valentin all left handed it simply doesn't work, oh and Jay Bruce is left handed too. They really need to package some pieces and prospects together to get a right handed power first base bat.

    This Week in Baseball 4/7 - 4/13

The good news is Josh Fogg pitches tomorrow, that means what, the Brewers will be 7-1 or 8-1 after tomorrow. They might give the Orioles a run for their money in the world series this year.

Brewers win thanks to another outstanding showing by the reds offense. Ugh. Only a week into the season and I'm already sick of Edwin Encarnacion. But, Torres gets the win not gagne, but you can still laugh I suppose.
