Can I only vote for Marvin and Leena? I'm too lazy to go through the rest.

For anyone who wants to watch the Reds/Yankees game but doesn't have YES Network or MLB.tv here you go: Click this link http://www.download.com/TVU-Player/3...-10584888.html Download the TVU Player. It's fast and easy. After you do that, open it! It will open a media player on your computer that allows you to watch streamed video. On the left hand side of the screen, it will give you a long list of channels. Scroll down until you see channel VIPER TVNET. I'm watching the game on it now. Just so you guys know I watch everything on MLB.tv for free, just search around the net and save your cash. Or if you're having problems with that link try this: http://www.download.com/3002-2194_4-105848...ml?tag=pdp_prob And go to option 1.

Damn, I'm watching the Cubs game on WGN. After coming back from a commericial they showed the fans sitting on the grass hill just beyond the left field fence. There was one hot chick wearing a bikini top about two sizes too small. It didn't look like she had tan lines. That is why I love spring training.

It's good to see Eric Milton is in mid-season form. The very first batter he faced this year hit a long home run. From rotoworld: Quote: Top prospect Andrew McCutchen homered and doubled off Eric Milton as the Pirates' left fielder on Thursday. Well, sure, but let's see how he does when he faces some major league pitching. McCutchen is expected to open the season at Double-A Altoona.

Jesus Christ, are those stat magazines always so fucking condescending and holier than thou? Quill Pens? They're just as bad as the people they criticize. If reading that is supposed to make me want to find the writer and beat him with my baseball bat then mission accomplished.

"It's a dark day for baseball." That's a little bit dramatic I'd say.

Little story on Dunn from a reds beat reporter: Just a big kid Dunn asked for two tickets to see the movie '23' at a downtown Sarasota theatre and was asked to prove his age with ID. "What? How old do you have to be to see this movie?" said Dunn, 27. He was told he had to show ID because he bought two tickets. "Guess the guy thought I was buying a ticket for a 7-year-old. I've never been carded in my life," he said. The other ticket was for Griffey, who was standing next to the ticket booth, arms folded, laughing heartily.

No, they wouldn't. That would only be true if the NFL could draft anyone at age 6 and they had to become football players once drafted. Why aren't there a lot of awesome black hockey players? Because black people don't care about hockey very much. Why are the best baseball players from Latin America? Because baseball is big in Latin American and baseball is a way to make a better life for yourself. You are assuming that everyone in the world *wants* to be an NFL player. News flash: they don't. Also I would point out the darker you look the more muscular you look. White guys look more muscular with a tan. That mean tan people are better at football? --- As far as cardio is concerned, a half-hour a day is not too much. On a bike you'll burn something like 300-400 calories. in a half-hour if even that. But white people do want to be NFL Players, go to any high school across the country and you'll see plenty aspiring to it (more want to be football players than baseball players). Go to any high school gym and you'll see white kids playing basketball, they want to be picked up for college, they're not turning down scholarships. That's the difference between your argument with Hockey, black people aren't playing it across the country trying to get in. And give me a break with that tan shit. I'm in my uni's athletic village everyday, and body types aren't hard to recognize. And you can't choose to become a lawyer, some just aren't intelligent enough. You can't choose to become a professional athlete, almost all aren't gifted enough. And the numbers really don't support your arguement. I'd say 80% of running backs, corners and wide receivers are black. It's not that white people hate those positions, it's that coaches transition people into the role best suited for them based on athletic ability, which is based on body type. Coaches want to win, and they obvisiously draft and position their teams to win. So they obvisiously think that black people are better suited for those positions. The question is why? The answer is body type and athletic ability. Next. And one final thing, thanks for making my argument stronger. You're reasoning for black people not playing hockey was a lack of interest, otherwise there would be more. I explained that white high schoolers and college students are very interested in football and basketball, so why aren't they advancing? Because by your own logic if they choose to they should make it, at least in comparable numbers.

Okay, why then in the NFL are almost all wide receivers, running backs and corners black when they make up roughly 10-15% of the US Population. If all races have the same basic body type those numbers would even out. Why do black people make up such a large percentage of the NBA, and the US Sprinting Track team in the olympics? I awaite your response.

Dude, everyday? He'd burn up way too many calories to have a hope of gaining any weight. 3 times a week maybe, but everyday? An average person certainly does not need that much cardio. Guess I'm different then? Well, you are black. In our university weight room, as a general rule, you notice black athletes don't need to work out nearly as hard as white athletes to achieve a muscular look. Genetically, I think black people are predisposed to having a superior muscular body. Genius the Greek Do you guys disagree that in general black athletes are usually quicker, can jump higher, and have an easier time building muscle mass? In my four years of college athletics at UC I've probably seen 500+ athletes in our weight center. As a general rule black athletes have a much more impressive build. Why do you think that positions in the NFL that require speed are almost exclusively taken by black athletes. In our athletic center you'll always hear the black athletes giving the white guys a hard time on their bodies, making fun of how hard they have to work. And just to be clear I'm obvisiously not saying that every black person can put on muscle easy. I'm not saying that black people have some type of super gene that enables them to put on muscle faster. I'm saying that in general they have a better natural frame and body type for athletics than white people.

Jim Ross just wrote in his blog that Awesome was having bad marital problems. It looks like this death was not like the other wrestling deaths, but happened because of a more personal nature.

This is easily settled. Someone find a pic of the CZW announcer, and compare to one of the old UTSU pics.

I'm just excited that the Reds actually have a pitching prospect. I can't remember the Reds ever developing a great starting pitcher, ever. I'm not sure if the Reds have developed a great starter in over 100 years.

This isn't the right thread for this but some of you are forgetting the big deal with the jump. Awesome was going to go on Nitro and throw down the ECW belt, calling it garbage. If he wanted to leave, fine, but there was no call to try and devalue something that a whole lot of people gave a lot of their lives to creating. The reason why he didn't throw down the belt right away is because Heyman got an injunction to stop the planned actions. I have no problem with Awesome leaving. And I think the honorable thing would've been to just show up for one more show, and drop the belt. Hell, I wouldn't care if he refused to take bumps during the match, just a quick drop of the title. Remember that Awesome was owed money, but he was also paid well for his time in ECW, and that exposure he garned was the only reason WCW wanted him. But with all that said, I wouldn't even care if he would've just handed over the belt, and refused to show up for any more shows. But to plan to throw down the belt was a pretty crappy thing to do, if not somewhat ironic considering how ECW became extreme.

To me the NL Central is wide open, except for the pirates. Any team that suffers an injury to one of their big starters is pretty much done. Astros: Oswalt or Jennings Cubs: Zambrano or Prior Cardinals: Carpenter or Wainwright Brewers: Sheets or Capuano Reds: Harang or Bronson If any one of those people go down for an extended period the team will probably be very bad. No one has any depth, which makes it too hard to call.
-
Damn, Awesome was one hell of a big man in ECW. I don't have a moral problem with suicide unless you're a parent, then priorities change.
-
You have 4 of the 5 teams in the NL Central as under, considering how often they play each other this is virtually impossible, unless you plan on the Brewers winning 110 games.
