Notes from Taboo Tuesday Press Conference
geniusMoment replied to strummer's topic in The WWE Folder
The womens match should be Trish-Vicky, stacy already comes out half naked. -
According to Meltzer Ray Traylor, "The Big Bossman", passed away in his home earlier this evening.

I personally love the fact that the Yankees-Red Sox hate each other, I hope they play each other in the playoffs and have fights like last year. To me that makes the rivalry all the more exciting. I also hope the Cubs play the Cards in the playoffs, hopefully that series gets just as heated, if not more. The playoffs were great last year until the boring Marlins-Yankees put a damper on it.

Ed Ferrera was with Russo on the writing team. Tony Blancha was on the team during 2000.
-
I do not think that is possible, the shows are unspeakably bad.
-
I know Bob Ryder is involved with the company and there are rumors he is involved with some of the wrestlers, or in other words Ryder really really really likes the black hole slam.

So are some of you saying I would be wise to go to media play and buy all the old WWF dvds I could for 7 dollars and then try to sell them online for 15 a piece?
-
I bought the Mania X-7 dvd used from Media Play for about 7 bucks two months ago, they have every WWF/WWE dvd ever released for under 10 dollars. (They are used but still work fine)

I train under the supervision of my strength and conditioning coach, working the upper body 3 days a week and the lower body 2 times a week, with two days of just cardio and agility drills. Day 1 starts off with riding a stationary bike, at the level of most resistance, for half an hour. I then start off with a light bench press, 150, with 12 reps. Then I move on to the rowing machine to work my biceps and shoulders for about 20 minutes. I then move back to the bench press where I move up to 180, generally 9 reps. After completing that I move to bicep curls with 35 pound dumbells and tricep extentions. I then hit my heaviest bench press, usually 240 with 6-7 reps depending on how motivated I can get. *I should also mention that before bed I always do 100 push ups and 200 sit ups. Right now I am a little over 6 feet tall and I weigh 210 with almost no body fat. I want to get up to 235, but I think I am going to need to take steriods to get there.

If Shane would actually step up and say he wants the responsibility of running the company I am sure Vince would let him inherit the federation. However, he is already rich, perhaps he does not love the business, what is his incentive? Maybe he just wants to live a happy perfect life, with his hot wife and new baby. I cannot really say which I would pick.

Bossman threw a right hand much like Dustin Rhodes, it always seemed to connect and made a loud smack, I always thought it was quite good.
-
Even though now considering the circumstances it seems tastless to say I found the site of Traylor going to the funeral of the big show's father to be quite funny. The site of Traylor in that old cop car, with the giant megaphone on top was a great site gag.

Big deal sid and eugene both got pops, but were ratings killers because they turned off the general fan. Pops mean nothing, hell Hogan got great pops in his comeback but the ratings sucked. Give me someone who brings in ratings over meaningless pops from an increasingly dorky, older and out of touch fan base any day.

Vince Russo was a prominent member of the team starting in August of 1996. He was responsible for the more realistic approach, booking characters off of real life occurences. His favorite approach, the worked-shoot, or in other words, tell the truth about the little things so people will believe the big lie, was evident in the Hart-Austin feud. Where the WWF used Harts real life frustration with the WWF and made an angle out of it, Hart quitting after the Rumble. At the time this was called the judo approach. Russo was the main writer be Mania 13, and was responsible for the changes in the characters of Goldust and Mankind, with a sit down interview in which they would reveal themselves, only in character, once again an example of the worked-shoot, or telling the truth about little things so people will believe the big lie. Russo was also a big fan of the Hart-HBK promos where they would take real life problems and air them in a fake environment. Foleys first book mentions Russo as the lead writer during the summer of 97 if you do not believe me.

I play college baseball for UC and I have heard just about every insult from the classic you suck or variations on your gay or fuck you. I have heard that people hope my family dies, that my girlfriend has aids and gives it to me and just about everything else. I never considered hitting a fan, I consider it their right to talk shit to me.

According to Meltzer Mean Gene desperatly needs a new kidney.

Think about the ratings if the Red Sox faced the Cubs in the world Series, every game would be like the super bowl, and anything that puts attention on baseball and away from football is fan-fuckin-tastic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My favorite year in wrestling ever was 1992. Ric Flair and Savage, Bret and Piper, Bret and Davey, the rise of HBK, the turn and comeback of Perfect, Flairs fantastic promos, Bobby Heenan having his best year ever as an announcer, the spectacle of 1992 Summerslam in England, Flair winning the best Rumble ever and finally Bret finally winning the world title. Simply put I do not think there will ever be a year like 1992 again. My second favorite year is 1997. The rise of stone cold steve austin, bret hart turning heel on the US after Mania, the formation of the new hart foundation, the ambulance angle with bret and austin, bret quitting the wwf after the rumble and austin cutting an awesome promo on him, the hot summer feud where one week the Harts were cheered in Canada and next week they would be jeered in the US, the awesome Canadian Stampede ppv, the realistic and never been done before shoot style promos pitting Bret against HBK, HBK leaving behind the passe pretty boy persona and developing the cutting edge DX attitude, WWE finally getting sexy with Sable, Sunny and Marlena, cursing and blood become part of the show, Mick Foley shows his real personality in a Jim Ross interview and developes into a strong character and of course the Montreal screwjob.

The fans will probably get a list of 4 candidates and WWE will do everything in their power to make 1 get all of the votes, probably Orton.

Meltzer said in his update he will have more on the issue later.

The OAO Raw IS Diva SearcHHH thread
geniusMoment replied to DerangedHermit's topic in The WWE Folder
I am still a fan too, just not of WWE anymore. I recently spent around $200 on old wrestling tapes from various places because I need my wrestling fix. As for the complaining, I rarely come into the WWE folder and complain, its just that I was venting my frustration on a night when I lost all faith in WWE recovering without major changes. -

So you'd really eat shit? I would rather eat 10 tons of shit then pay 1 cent to Vince for the garbage he is producing. -
The OAO Raw IS Diva SearcHHH thread

The only good thing about Raw tonight was supplied by the audience sick and tired of the crap Vince is shoving down their throats, of course I am refering to the "Baby Killer" chant. What a load of crap this entire show and promotion have turned into. I said "Fuck it" to Smackdown 9 months ago and have not watched it since. I no longer watch any ppvs. After tonight I am finally saying Fuck it to Raw. Thats it, I am done until something changes, end the brand split, bring in Russo, just do something as the product absolutly fucking sucks. I would rather eat shit than pay for the wrestling they are producing. I just pray that WWE gets competition from someone, anyone. -
