Want to know something else, Casey said after scoring the first run by sliding into home he "felt a little tightness" in his hamstring. He said if he got a hit in the 9th to pinch run for him. I can picture the headline now, Casey done for the year, tears hamstring in two.

With that said, I do not think Cincy will win the central. I think the Astros have the best team in the national league, and the Cubs if healthy are close. I have never claimed the Reds would win their division, and I agree the Reds do have flaws. They have a crappy bullpen, a questionable starting staff and a weak bench. I just want you to let me enjoy the good so far, being reminded after every positive post about how the reds will suck in the end makes baby jesus cry.

Casey was playing with a broken pelvis and tailbone last year and a torn abdominal muscle the year before, that is why his numbers dropped off. A better gage of his numbers when healthy would be 1999 when he was still learning to hit and 2000, his numbers will be down then a little due to a broken hand. Tony Gwynn said of Casey the first time he saw him hit in 1998, "That kid is going to win a batting title."

Actually Bruiser, I was talking about your shot at Casey. It just seems whenever someone has anything positive to say about Cincy you cannot wait to try to shoot it down.

This will be an unpopular comment, but I will say it anyway. I actually think the loss of the WWF/E "attitude" is killing the product in the 13-34 demo. I just know all of my friends in college who have grown up with me have noticed how little attitude WWE has anymore. The language, the girls, and the storylines have gone back to a more conservative style. Not all the way back to 95 in terms of cartoony, more like 96 where Austin would sometimes say ass and Sunny was used for eye candy, but in a more conservative way. People I know just do not want to see a product with no attitude and long 20 minute new WWE style matches. There is a reason the NWA in 89 couldn't draw what the WWF drew.

Keep flinging the insults at the Reds Bruiser, and keep watching the Cubs blow game after game after game after game after game.

What a shot by Casey.

If Griffey and Dunn can get hot they both will hopefully make it, thats all I care about from Cincy. My reasoning, its simple. They would both then probably be in the HR derby, which is taking over the All Star Game in terms of popularity. Also, it is a baseballs players chance to make a name for himself with a good showing, as the spotlight is entirely on you. Plus, for anyone who does not know Adam Dunn has the most impressive batting practice home runs since Mac retired, regularly hitting 500 foot shoots. I can just imagine the finals coming down to a battle of Reds.

I do not get why even 13 year olds would care about the bikini contest. WWE has no balls, the women will be wearing more than they usually wrestle in, especially on network television. Bikini's just do not cut it, you can turn on television and see women in thongs or less on at least one channel virtually any time of the day.

Best DVD ever, until Brets, of course.

What do you guys think WWE would do if UPN said increase ratings for smackdown or its cancelled? Would WWE finally shift talent to Smackdown or would they just abandon ship and release 3/4 of the smackdown talent and move the rest to raw?

Canada loses "Coolest Crowd Ever" title

Eugene is quickly becoming my least favorite wrestling character. His segments are already stale, I am sick of him. -
Both Guillen and Mondesi on the same team. Talk about two assholes on one team, I now hate the angels.

Paul Wilson strained his groin and will not pitch tomorrow against the Expos. I hope Mr. 7-0 is okay to pitch down in Florida.

3 fucking diva matches on one fucking card. Even horny 14 can only get off so much on the divas, how about throwing wrestling fans a bone.

Just from watching all of the teams in the West play the Reds the Padres look like the class of the division, the reds have not played the D'backs yet. Peavy looks amazing, best young gun who gets no press in my opinion. Looks to be every bit as dominating as Prior.

Baltimore has some suppporters here, at least 2 that I know of.

Its his approach this year that has not changed in my mind. In the year he went to the All Star Game he had a great first half by hitting the ball to all fields. Almost all of his home runs, and hits, have been to right field, he is still way too pull happy. I liked the double he hit off Clemens because he took a ball off the corner and went with it. To get Adam out all you need to do is drop breaking stuff on the corners, he has the power to hit to all fields for hits and home runs. He is dropping his shoulder and moving his front foot toward right field, trying to jack balls out, this is a stupid approach for him. I also hit left and throw right, I have gotten into this same habit before, it sucks. If Adam can ever learn to stay back and wait on the breaking stuff, flip his wrists, and let his natural power carry the balls into the left center gap he will be great.

Wow, Adam Dunn going 0 for the series and striking out 3/4 of the time sounds familiar. I see no difference between this year and his past years, maybe he just is not that good.
-
I know its hard to believe.

Indeed, that guy dominated my team. Is he really good, or is it just against the reds?

Wow, there is some tension on this board. Maybe it is the Skyline Coneys that get us Cincy fans all worked up. Whoever pitched tonight for Florida made all of the reds his own personal bitches. Despite the good play and nice winning streak Cincy has some potentially fatal flaws begining to show. Perhaps the most important is the recent play of Adam Dunn. The last couple of years Dunn has gotten off to fast starts only to slow before completely stopping producing. Hopefully this is only a slump, but his approach resembles last year. Maybe Chambliss can straighten him out. Also last night during the victory I noticed Kearns took a bad swing at a ball and his hand came off the bat. He seemed to wince in pain and began flexing his fingers, he has already torn the ligament in his thumb once. He has not hit a ball hard since, and has struck out a lot since. Not only that but the bat keeps slipping out of the hand he was flexing, it happened twice on Monday, hopefully due to the rain. With every swing that hand flies of the bat, hopefully nothing is wrong. Also, the bullpen blows, they gave up another run on Tuesday. Even with the starters going 7 you know the bullpen will give up at least 1-2 runs, so you better have a lead.

Graves gets hammered in almost every outing. He could have very easily blown 4-5 more saves this year alone. Just the other night the only thing preventing a blown save was Castro making a diving catch and a rocket line drive. I, however, do not hope they trade Graves now. I had hoped they would have traded Graves instead of Reitsma, then put Reitsma in as closer. Now they have no one any better than Graves.

A reason not to be too sure Reds fans is in the facts: Reds start in 2002 28-18 Reds start in 2003 24-22 Reds start in 2004 27-18 I am indeed a Reds fan, but a cautious one. Looks can be deceiving and baseball can be a cold bitch mistress.

Linder, the Reds owner, recently bought 450,000 tickets to give away to children. Even though he owns the team the Reds will still bill him. He is willing to spend money if they stay in contention. Linder is far and away the richest man in baseball, he just sold a bank and made over a billion dollars on one transaction.
