It did an above-average job, but didn't perfect it. Those who have never played the original and pick up Mario 64 DS often hold in much higher regard than those who were around when the original came out and played it. The game was created for use of an analog stick, not a directional pad. Granted, you can use the touch screen, which tries to simulate the stick but still comes up a little short. That's not to say the game isn't genius though, because it is.

What's the general KISS Army's view on 'God Gave Rock n' Roll To You'? That opening riff is just unmistakeable. I love it, but I've never been a massive KISS fan. Also, have you seen any of Gene's reality show, Rock School? As a teacher, it was, shall we say, interesting to watch. Never the less, a lot of fun.

Not for the first time, no. I've pretty much been one of the biggest advocates of Kojima's masterpiece on TSM. I haven't really stopped playing it for any considerable length of time since it was released here. It's basically taken me about two or so years just to get my head around what Kojima was trying to achieve and fully comprehend the story. Deep.

Do you own RE4 on your Cube, Andrew? The PS2 release of the game is nearing closer and I'm becoming more and more impressed with Capcom's ability to seemingly squeeze the beauty of the Gamecube version into the Playstation with little comprimise. All of this hits November, mind you, along with the slew of awesome DS titles and the XBox 360 (okay, so PDZero has be interested), so it looks like another holiday season of being broke.

Add me to the list of controller abusers. I've gone through *three* PS2 controllers over the past few years. I've learned to channel my anger into something easier. DW5 or a random Smackdown! game is usually pretty good when you just want to go into a game and absolutely destroy someone (or in the case of Dynasty Warriors, an entire army single-handedly).

If you don't like the cut-scenes in Metal Gear, then skip them.

Prior to Deadly Alliance, I would've said Mortal Kombat as well. However, the previous two titles have really breathed life into the series and sales have sky-rocketed in response as well. They'll need to do something new with the fighting engine for the next MK fighting game (and there will be one), whether it be next-gen or not, as I don't think the current one is capable of carrying a third installment.

I'm interested in seeing how Rare bring about Perfect Dark: Zero for the XBox 360 launch and the initial Mario title for the 'Revolution'. Had it not been for Metal Gear Solid 4's appearance at the Tokyo Game Show, I wouldn't be all that interested in the PS3 either.

The ending movies are basically all identical. A total cop-out on just about every character. Very few of them actually go the extra mile and do something interesting or original. Zhuge Liang's is a fitting end and Huang Gai's isn't too bad either. Most of them end with 'I SHALL END THE CHAOS' followed by Character A charging or raising his/her weapon into the air. I actually prefered Musou Mode from DW4 over this. I became so sick and tired of that bloody He Fei stage. Have you managed to get any of the saddles yet, TRITEC? All of them are dead easy, with the exception of maybe Shadow Harness. However, A beefed up Ma Chao can make attaining that one a breeze.

Well, I'm glad I didn't order this one.
