I maxed out Jubilee for kicks and was not impressed *at all* by any of her advanced techniques. That graduation mission where you need to protect the Professor, take down the statues and kill a certain number of those evil looking silver bitches is a fantastic level for maxing characters. Just have Jean let loose her Psychic Scream over and over as you sit back and watch the stats rise like crazy. For me, Rogue is a poor man's Colossus. Nothin' beats the big metal guy.

Was the Substance ending the same as the original? I don't believe I heard about it being changed at all. I do agree with you though, it was on Return of the King-like levels of insane length. Uh, and those who have actually PLAYED Resident Evil on the N64 understand why it is never spoken about. It is a complete and utter fucking abomination. It handles like a semi-trailer and is ridden with glitches and gameplay set-backs. On an unrelated note, Metroid Prime: Hunters has been delayed, which is a shame. I was quite looking forward to see how a shooter on the DS would turn out, but now I'll be waiting until 2006 (as is the case with all the other awesome games on the way, barring Castlevania and Mario Kart).

Raven has always been over-rated in the ring. His best skill is the ability to make people believe he is better than what he actually is. Not to take anything away from the awesome Raven character though, which was in that 'do or die' period for a little while where he was either going to be made into a superstar or drift away into nothingness (see also Lance Storm). Since this was WCW, the latter happend.

Steiner wasn't much in late '98. In fact, he didn't really get over with the fans until well into 1999, even then only as an upper-midcard guy. On a side note, his match with Goldberg at 2000's Fall Brawl was about as stiff a brawl as you'll find that year. Personally, I'm not too sure who potentially could have been the 'right guy' to end the streak. If the take all the of 'old boys' out of the equasion and focus on elevating talent with the streak, I suppose there was Benoit and, to a lesser extent, Raven. However, by late 98, Raven was all but finished in WCW, as they had already given up on him completely, which is a shame. Any legit suggestions as to who could have ended the streak and still drawn a big buyrate with the match itself?

I've recently just gone back to Final Fantasy X again for another run-through. Or, as it should be known in PAL countries, Final Fantasy: We Like Borders. God damn, it's still an awfully pretty game. Shadow Hearts II still owns it, though.

These screenshots are getting better and better. Even if this thing DOES end up sucking, it will do so in the most beautiful way possible. This is about as good as wrestling games look on the Playstation 2.

Thanks for the advice. I must say that the bloody parrot is more a nuisance than Scissorman Bobby. How in the blue hell does Jen die from A PARROT? He flies around her head a few times and she collapses. I'd accept it if Bobby actually can-a-knockin' from the parrot's noise, but I think she is literally killed by a squawk.

I just found a translated ROM of Clock Tower for the SNES. This is one truly creepy game. Great to see where the roots for survival horror games come from as well. Scissorman has carved me in every single outing so far and pretty much diced all of my friends as well. I understand he is a murderous bastard and all, but he's fucking 4 feet tall for God's sake. A swift kick to the skull would set him straight.

Holy crap Kurt Angle looks amazing. With all these extras, they won't possibly be doing *more* of those idiotic voice-overs for the game, will they? Maybe if I actually read the entire article up there I could derive an answer for myself, but then where would the fun be in that for you?

If Sony delays, maybe Nintendo can actually arrive with the competition this time round. The agonising wait for the plethora of mind-blowingly awesome DS games to come is killing me. Super Mario 64 DS is great fun, but I want my Advance Wars DS and Mario Kart DS and Sonic Dash and...*goes off on hour-long tangent*
