Although I was not intending to do so, I walked into EB Games today for a brief look around and noticed that Episode III was in stock and available for purchase for PS2. After a few moments of contemplation, I caved and decided I'd give in to temptation. Due to other commitments, I've only been able to play up to the first boss. However, from what I've played I have noticed the following: - Voice acting is sub-par - Graphics follow the path of the voice acting - Fighting Jedi-style is really, really fun and enjoyable. Shredding droids was never this cool. - The footage from the movie is played usually before each level to help set the scene and it blends in really well - Levels are SHORT (from the first few that I've played), but the game has the signs of replayability with a cool co-op mode, duel mode and an skill building system where players can level-up their Anakin or Obi-Wan by ripping droids new outlets and earning points. - You cannot choose who you play as, it alternates between Anakin and Obi-Wan, starting with Anakin. - Plays much like the short and sweet Return of the King - The first boss battle is pretty cool. It involves you and Obi-Wan fighting Count Dooku. Dooku handed me my sorry ass THREE times in a row before I had to bail and do other things, so the battles are definitely not too easy. I plan on getting a little more into it tonight before going to bed. Has anyone else gone out of their way to pick it up? If I had to give a rating from the minimal amount of time I've spent playing (which shouldn't be taken into consideration when compared to someone else who has spent some real quality time with it), I'd say it's sitting around a 7.5/10 or so. Definite, plain, old fashioned, hack n' slash fun, although the graphics leave a lot to be desired.

Anyone played Episode III for the Nintendo DS? Just looking at some screenshots etc. now and it looks really, really awesome.

The new Castlevania game is for both XBox and PS2.

Every played Metal Gear Solid 3? Exact same sort of problem there, often leading to situations that you cannot deal with due to insane camera issues. At least in most areas in Ep.III you are given an overall top/side view.

Do it, Kotz.

Those pics are beyond awesome, fantastic job. You really do need to shave though. And probably eat something.

I saw this last night. It was the single greatest night of my entire life. I love Obi-Wan. -
Can't say it appeals to me, no. More of a badger man, myself.

Here are some awesome looking screens I found of Sonic Rush, for the Nintendo DS. In twelve months time, the DS is going to have one bad ass game arsenal, I can't wait. Double screen levels, baby

Nintendo are always a safe bet for launch consoles in terms of quality and customer reassurance. I've bought (or had bought for me) every Nintendo system around its launch minus the Gamecube and I've never once had any trouble. My N64 still plays as well today as the day I recieved it in 1996. No doubt, the Rev will be a cheaper alternative off the bat as well. So I might go the way of the Big N to start with, then move onto Sony once they've had time to stop their latest system from exploding on players.

Y'know, you must have to *really* like a video game to name yourself after it. What the hell do I know, I'm named after a fucking CD. UYI -
I mean, great report, Matt!

Weren't they both in a very serious car accident? I'm 99% sure I have a RAW magazine in my room SOMEWHERE that has an article on the whole ordeal, with pictures of Furnas' head where glass shards had to be dug out.

I actually took Mario Kart 64 for a spin the other day and my Nintendo analog stick was stiff as all hell. Time is not kind to those things. However, it did get a lot of use, so I am not surprised. That game is still INSANELY addictive, even today.

Because in the past, the power of a machine was a particular selling point and of interest to the gaming community. Console gaming is a very, very new concept, and has only recenly began to fully mature. I believe it was Jobber who said that all we have now to worry about is lighting, as machines these days are powerful enough to produce just about anything. Back in the days of the Sega Genesis and Super Nintendo, this was not the case. It worked more in Sega's favour at the beginning of the ultra-heated 16-bit war when the Megadrive exploded onto the scene before the SNES, as it was 'twice the power of the NES'.

Is XBox the only system not offering their next-gen console in a selection of different colours for launch? I have only seen shots of the white XBox 360.

Like you even needed that to justify buying it
