Yes, those claims that both brands had totally different season modes were bullshit. The game makes a great frisbee.

Hasn't Geffen completely pulled out of the making of CD now? *THAT* is the only fire that is going to do anything. Axl's been sitting around with unlimited time and money to throw at this thing, meaning he has no incentive to release it until he feels like it. Axl needs to be put into a position where he has no choice but to release the album

Street Fighter Anniversary Collection
Use Your Illusion replied to Matt Young's topic in Video Games
Chunners is in every incarnation because she's insanely popular in Japan, possibly the most popular Street Fighter character over there. Hardcore fans would likely riot if she was ever left out (and, in fact, they did when she wasn't included in the original Street Fighter 3). So what's Hyper Street Fighter II like? That's the only part of the package that is available over here in Australia, which sucks. At least we get Capcom Fighting Jam! Er... UYI -
Both Axl & Dizzy have said those songs are just the 'filler' material on Chinese Democracy and that Axl is holding back his big guns for when it is finally released.

Someone from Team Axl has lashed out at the NY Times for their article on Chinese Democracy...

You know, it's unbelieveable how many people in my town still use that 'that's a huge bitch!' joke OVER AND OVER. And over. The original must be the most influential of the modern era.

Things in wrestling that were never explained

Wasn't it The Giant who actually made a habit of bailing Jericho out of nasty situations? -
Kids suddenly stop playing with guns all around the United States.

I haven't seen any threads around here regarding this title, so I figured I'd make one to find out people's thoughts on the latest DMC release. I've never really been one to go on game reviews, as mostly I find them to be written by total twats who have no clue what they are on about in the first place. I'd much rather go on the first hand experiences of actual gamers, such as the folk here. So is this one worth the hype? I was a fan of the first, but hated the second, so I am a little wary about rushing out and buying this one.

So what is Scarecrow's deal anyway? Why is he the way he is? I'm good with just about all of Batman's enemies except him, I have no clue about his backstory. Is it the usual 'X happend and now I'm a raging psychopath'?

When did you buy the PS2 that is breaking down on you now, Andrew?
-
Good to see the reviews on the difficulty have been accurate, at least. I think I may have to purchase as new controller however and keep the old one near by to take out my frustrations on. God bless bulky-as-hell Mad Catz controllers that can absorb all of my anger.

I know Sony's Playstation 2 has surpassed 80 million units at this point in time. From http://burn.com.au/news.php?story=7323

$375 for really good seats. WWE can suck me, there is no way in hell I am paying that for the show they will be putting on.

Anyone ever see a cartoon called Techno Man? I can barely remember it, but it was largely Japanese influenced with a guy who would get into this huge robot suit and fight aliens etc. Was a really great series that had a nice ending to it.

...holy shit

That is correct. In fact, VR have been playing It's So Easy, Used To Love Her and Mr. Brownstone at most of their recent shows and I'm hoping they play a few when I go to see them live next Monday night. Tommy has also stated that he hopes to tour Europe to support the release of Chinese Democracy this year, so hopefully all the shit and waiting ends in 2005. UYI

I love superhero games, so I'll definitely check it out. I'm with Andrew on the fact that the positive reviews/previews of Batman Begins have me very interested. Can't wait to see how that one turns out either.

Here is Namco's explanation for Heihachi surviving the explosion: So he moonlights as Superman now?
-
They ceased airing TNA PPVs in Australia due to a very low level of interest. If it wasn't for this, I would order. I'm a blind Nash mark (shut up, shut up, shut up) and would love to check out what TNA has to offer in the undercard.

Y'know, I haven't really sat down and watched a full episode of Smackdown! in six months. Looking at that card, it's nice to see that absolutely nothing has changed whatsoever from the last time I watched. Well done, Smackdown!, you're the poster child for mediocrity.

Apparently Heihachi is not one to rebel from his family's ability to NEVER DIE, as he has been found in arcades around the world. It's all over Tekken Zaibatsu. However, I'm not game to wade through the crap (and there is an awful lot of it) to obtain photographs or anything. Regardless, the old bastard lives. So the Mishima family looks pretty much like this: Heihachi - Thrown off a cliff by Kazuya, literally blown up by an army of Jacks Kazuya - Thrown off a cliff as a child, thrown into a volcano Jin - Shot, point blank, in the face Jinpachi - Beaten to a pulp by his son, imprisoned for years Tough lot.
