The Quarashi Edition: 1.) "Mr. Jinx" 2.) "Transparent Parents" 3.) "Catch 22" 4.) "Baseline" 5.) "Delphi" The fact that 3 of the 5 songs are from Jinx is no concidence. Jinx is my favorite Quarashi album for a reason.

I got Snoop Doggy Dogg's Doggystyle. It really is pretty damn good. I liked the retro funk grooves (I'm a sucker for a funky bass or a "wacachika" guitar) that were in every song on the album (That's G-Funk right?), and Snoop dropped some pretty dope rhymes. I think this will be the only Snoop album I'll own though, since I hear that his other albums aren't that great.

I've only listened to Missy Elliot's This Is Not A Test only twice, and there was a year and a half span between the first listen and the second listen. Although, now that I think about it, what the hell was I thinking getting that CD? I'm not even a big Missy Elliot fan, so what exactly went through my head when I got This Is Not A Test, I do not know. I feel kinda guilty about this one, but I've listened to Outkast's Speakerboxxx/The Love Below a grand total of 4 times since I brought the disc back in January 2004. And there was a good amount of time in between listening to that disc as well. I have a good amount of CDs that I don't listen to unless I'm going on a trip or am really, really bored. Those include Jay-Z's The Blueprint, The Blueprint 2: The Gift And The Curse, The Black Album, Gorillaz's self-titled album, some albums I got when I was younger and just starting to develop my musical tastes, a couple of WWF/E released CDs, (Anthology, Aggresion, and The Music Volume 5 to be exact), Triumph The Insult Comic Dog's Come Poop With Me, and my mixed CDs. I also have Limp Bizkit's Chocolate Starfish And The Hotdog Flavor Water, and New Old Songs, and Linkin Park's Hybrid Theory that I used to play like crazy during my " sucicidal teen angst" days, and P. Diddy's P. Diddy And The Bad Boy Family: The Saga Continues... which I got in the midst of my "wannabe thug, desperately trying to fit in with the popular kids" days, but they're collecting dust now. Actually, on any given day, the CDs I'm most likely to pop in are the CDs made by The Beastie Boys, Quarashi, Public Enemy, and Skye Sweetnam. Everything else in my collection I rarely listen to.
-
Yeah, every single bad thing that can happen to a person happens on Degrassi: The Next Generation. Those poor kids. They've been through hell in only 4 seasons. Although, I think that's part of the reason why I watch that show. That, and there are some pretty damn attractive girls on it. Wait, what?! When did this happened? Is that another episode that is banned in the U.S.A. along with the Craig/Manny abortion episodes?

Don't forget that brief period back in October 2003 when you used "Act A Fool" by Ludacris, until I took over your character to finish the PRL/Cappa feud, and changed it back to "Let Me Clear My Throat (Old School Mix)" because I thought that song fit your character better.
-
There was also the City Guys episode where that black author comes to the school and tells the kids to be proud of where they come from, but, Jamal takes it a little too far and becomes a racist thus alientating his friends. And then in the end, when he has that "Blacks only" meeting, he realizes he's been a racist, and apoligizes to his friends. And I could have sworn there was an episode where that hot brunette girl got raped. Correct me if I'm wrong here. Also, California Dreams had that episode where Jake's chain smoking uncle visits. Jake starts smoking, which causes his friends to try and get him to stop. But he doesn't, until Jake's uncle gets lung cancer. However, that episode had a good amount of comedy (including the scene where Jake tries to not smoke for several hours!), so I don't know if that counts. California Dreams also had the episode where Tiffany's mom returns, and the one where the father of a girl Tony's dating forbids him from seeing her, because Tony's black.

Well, I'm going to do a hype video for PR/Panther set to Quarashi's "Payback", and a short PRL/Popick segment too. I don't know if Papacita is going to be sending in a Panther promo or segment, though.
-
What's the weight limit for the HI-YAH Jr. Heavyweight Title? Because since Yuji Chusaki hasn't been used in a while, maybe I can have him face a Lightning Crew member.
-
Zack, you also used "Die Another Day" by Madonna sometime before AngleMania II back in early 2003, IIRC.
-
How about the American Airlines Arena in Miami, Florida? -Hype for "Rage In The Cage: PR/Panther II" at OAOAST AngleMania IV -Lightning Crew segment -Mr. Boricua vs. Panther And as always, if anyone wants to fight a member (or members) of The Lightning Crew, go ahead. Just PM me and let me know first. I'll allow it.

-March 10, 2003-September 28, 2003: "Bulls On Parade" by Rage Against The Machine -October 7, 2003-January 25, 2004: "Know Your Role 2K3 (Hollywood Version)" (This was The Rock's theme from his early 2003 "Hollywood" heel run. I also used Rock's awesome overblown, extended entrance from this time period.) -Janaury 27, 2004-June 10, 2004: "No Chance In Hell" by Bradley Boyds (Although, since May 27, 2003, I've used this as The Lightning Crew Theme Song.) -June 10, 2004-Now: "Know Your Role '99" (This was The Rock's theme song from his "Corporate Champion" days.) As you can clearly see, The Rock is my main inspiration behind Tha Puerto Rican.
-
I should have my segments in a hour or so.
-
Yeah, Vince McMahon made Road Dogg and Billy Gunn have a "Dogg Pound" (Dog Collar) match back in June 1999 when he and Shane were thinking of what gimmick match they would face Stone Cold Steve Austin in for the "100% Control of the WWF" Match at King Of The Ring 1999. That, of course, ended up being the infamous Ladder Match, where Austin lost thanks to a still unknown to this day person lifting up the briefcase so that Austin couldn't get it, but Shane did.

Movie moments you marked out for.
Ed Wood Caulfield replied to CBright7831's topic in Television & Film
The Matrix: When Neo finally realizes that he is "The One", and he stops the bullets with his bare hands. Followed by Morbius' line: "He's beginning to believe." Neo then gets the best of Agent Smith, shocking him. The Matrix Revolutions: When the teenager tells the people of Zion "The war is over! We won! We won!" The people of Zion celebrate. Army Of Darkness: Ash saying "...Groovy." Star Wars: Episode II: Attack Of The Clones: Yoda battling Count Dooku with his lightsaber. The theater I saw it in went crazy when that happened. They loved it. Star Wars: Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back: Darth Vader saying, "No. I am your father." Star Wars: Episode VI: Return Of The Jedi: Darth Vader killing Emperor Palpatine saving Luke Skywalker. Rocky II: Rocky and Apollo Creed knocking each other out. Rocky IV: The fight between Rocky and Ivan Drago, from the moment Rocky is introduced till the end. Ed Wood: The montage of clips of Ed Wood filming Plan 9 From Outer Space. Office Space: The destruction of the copier, followed by the drunken partying. They Live: The backlot fight. Later parodied in the South Park episode, Cripple Fight. -
I have heard that they are thinking of releasing DVDs of terrible B to Z grade movies, where the commentary track is Mike, Bill, and Kevin riffing on the films. It won't be exactly like Mystery Science Theater 3000, but this maybe the closest we get. This is just AWESOME news. I love Cheap Seats. I LOVE MST3K. This will be something I just have to tape so I can save it and watch it again and again. I am so happy that Mike and the Bots are coming back, even if it's just for one night only. MST3K is my all-time favorite T.V. show, so I can't miss this. This is going to be one hilarious episode, I'm certain of it. This might be the best Cheap Seats episode ever! I hope that this will be a hour long, or maybe they can stretch it to two hours. I'd be very disappointed if this is just a half-hour episode.
-
I was disappointed that they actually did a serious interpretation of a scene from "A Few Good Man" instead of a silly spoof, but I still liked it. Cena was really good in this one, as was Bradshaw. I had no idea they had it in them. Still, my favorite so far has been the "Forrest Gump" one with Eugene. That was just great. "Run, Eugene, Run!"

I don't think I've ever done a segment by segment feedback of hD~! before. Well, there's a first time for everything. Here we go: -First off, I have to say that King Cucaracha did a helluva job writing that X-Division Title match. He got Vitamin X and Thomas Rodriguez down perfectly. Mad props, yo. If Vitamin X, the actual poster, still wrote for the OAOAST, and still liked wrestling, he would have said the same thing. It was a great match. It did a great job showing the biased officiating by Rodriguez, and great psychology, with how X took advantage of Rodez's weak knee. Just a great, great job all around. I loved it. Way to go, KC. You get a thumbs up from me. -Good promo by Jim Cornette and The Saints. It did a good job hyping up the Zero Hour match. It reminded me of alot of old-school WWF and WCW promos, the fact that it took place in front of a roll of lockers. It was a nice throwback to the old days. The whole analogy with the puppy was funny. -Good promo by The New New Midnight Express also. Doing it in a private raquetball court was a nice idea. It did a good job hyping up the 6-Person Tag Team Match. I laughed at Ned saying they were going to party like it was 1999 even though it's 2005. -That was a pretty funny segment between Axel and Teddy Long. The fact that the whole segment was pretty much designed to take a shot at SmackDown! makes it even better. I like it when the OAOAST takes subtle, and not too subtle shots at WWE. It reminds me of the days when the WWF and WCW would insult each other. Man, do I miss the Monday Night Wars. Man, do I miss the days of actual competition. Oh, and Adam got Teddy Long's speech pattern down perfectly. I can just imagine Teddy Long saying that. And Cole was right, the Bradshaw/John Cena match at WrestleMania 21 is going to kind of blow. -Like I said in the booking thread, anybody who wants to use the "Kickin' It OLD SKOOL~!!!" segment is allowed to whenever they want. I wrote the segment with the intention of making it a regular part of HeldDOWN~!. Something that can be use if you don't feel like doing a promo in the ring or on the interview stage. I loved it back in the 80's and early 90s when the WWF wrestlers used to do promos in front of a blue screen with their name and something relating to their character inserted onto it. Just a wrestler, or wrestlers and a camera, I miss those days. I'd love it if it were done more often on HeldDOWN~!. -Good tag match between Axel and Crystal vs. Mad Cappa and Chris Stevens. I am enjoying Cappa's heel character and the Axel/Crystal storyline. That was great. I sense that this Axel/Crystal relationship isn't going to last forever. It just seems like these two will split up soon. Of course I could be wrong, and this relationship will continue to be written about for months and months. Whatever the case maybe, I am liking the storyline, and I can't wait to see what happens next. -Good segment with Josie, Jasmine, and Rodez. Rodez hitting on Jasmine was great, as was him inviting Josie and Jasmine to join him in the shower. Leon's line about the referee's falling easily was funny. -I enjoyed that Ned and Holly-Wood segment. Nice touch mentioning the cameraman being there, making it seem a little realistic (well as realistic as you can get for a e-fed). I'm not as annoyed with the "invisible cameraman" as Tony is, but I do admit, sometimes it'd be nice if the wrestlers mention that someone is filming their interaction backstage, and not act like he doesn't exist. I thought it was hilarious when Holly-Wood was telling Ned to take her now, and when Jivin' JR came and ate all the food like a pig. And when Holly said what she said about ripping Cornette's balls off his sack, boiling them in hot water, and feeding it to her pussy, I think that part would be censored on T.V. That's reason alone for HeldDOWN~! to get a TV-MA rating right there! JR yelling "HELL YEAH! HELL YEAH! HELL YEAH!" while shitting was the best part. Great segment all around. -Okay segment with The Love Doctors hyping up their HI-YAH Tag Title match at Zero Hour. -Awesome segment with Arn Anderson, Black T, and GPX. It really made the Anderson Cup seem important, and something worth fighting for. Whoever wrote that segment got Arn Anderson down right. I'd imagine that's how Arn would act, especially when he insulted Black T. I also like how The Global Party Exchange showed a serious side, not saying anything and not smiling, but just staring at Black T. To me, that's another sign of an impending heel turn from GPX. I don't know why, but it sorta reminds me of when Jericho turned heel back in 2001. He became more serious, more determined, and that soon morphed into him turning heel. I think that's what is happening with GPX. They are slowly transforming from the happy-go-lucky, cocky, but loveable frat boys to serious, determined pro wrestlers, and that will soon lead to them going full blown heels. If this will end up happening, then good job, slowly building up the heel turn. I like it. Arn saying "I. Said. Shake." was great. -I LOVED that Josie/Jasmine/Ryan Cabrera segment. That was just hilarious. I know who Ryan Cabrera is, so that made the segment even better, since I don't like that guy at all, and I think his songs suck. I only watch that new video of his, "True", because that hot chick from the show, Summerland, is in it. I was disappointed that Skye Sweetnam had to tour with him last year. Even though I LOVE Skye Sweetnam, there was NO way I was going to sit through a Ryan Cabrera concert just to see her. She wasn't enough to make me sit through that crap. Anyway, it was a very funny segment with Jasmine destroying the guitar and then macing Ryan. I liked it that the macing continue off camera, that somehow made it funnier, only hearing Ryan Cabrera screaming. Just an awesome, awesome segment. I loved it. -Great segment with Hoff. It really made the upcoming World Title Match at Zero Hour seem very important, probably the most important match in Hoff's life. It sorta reminded me of those vignettes that aired before WrestleMania XII with Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels. At first, I thought that Drek would win the Zero Hour match, so that he can head to a face vs. heel showdown against Axel at AngleMania IV, but damnit, the buildup has been SO good, that I'm really starting to doubt that. This segment just furthered my doubt of an Axel/Drek match at AngleMania. Maybe Hoff WILL win this Sunday at Zero Hour. Who knows? One thing's for sure, I can't wait for this match. I am really looking forward it. One thing though: playing with a kitten?! Hoff, dude, former OAOAST World Champions don't play with kittens! You've just softened your image, man. Dude, just...dude. -Cute little segment with K.U.R.T. and Michael Cole. What does K.U.R.T. stand for anyway? I never found out. Warren Peace appearing out of nowhere, and then quickly disappearing was funny, and that's how I think he should be used. Just have him show up randomly out of nowhere, and then disappear seconds later. The segment was a little cartoonish, but I like cartoonish things, so I was okay with it. That line about the first robotic sexual harrasment law suit was great, and shows that Phenom has an odd imagination, which is good since that leads to creativity. -Great promo from Drek Stone. Like I said, the buildup has been so good that, at first, I thought Drek winning was forgone conclusion, but now I doubt that. Either Hoff or Drek can win this match, and that's a good thing that I have no idea who will win this thing. Kudos to both Hoff and New York Untouchable for the great buildup to this match. I am PUMPED to read it this Sunday. It should be a helluva match. [Cheap Plug]Oh, and since Drek was standing infront of a blue screen, this could have been a perfect time to use the "Kickin' It OLD SKOOL~!!!" segment. [/Cheap Plug] -I'm disappointed that Papacita didn't send in the PRL/Lindsay/Tina/Panther tag team match or his promo. I was looking forward to reading it. Oh well, good thing I wrote my promo this week or else there wouldn't be any hype for the PR/Panther match at Zero Hour. Still, I would have liked to read the tag match and promo. -Nice job to whoever wrote the pay-per-view rundown. We need to have those every month. Pretty good rundown segment. -I liked the Rodez/Chris Stevens/Jumbo segment. It's kind of hard to hype up a match that was made 4 days before the show, but KC did a good job with the time he has. I liked the part when Leon kept saying "Sneak" in the same way Dr. Evil said "Zip It!" in the Austin Powers films. That was my favorite part of the whole segment. But I did enjoy the beatdown Jumbo and Chris did to Rodez. Did a good job building up to the match at Zero Hour with the short time between now and Zero Hour. -Good match between The 70's Dude and Brock Ausstin. Add me to the list of people who are enjoying The 70's Dude. At first, I thought it was going to be a total comedy character, but Failed Mascot has done a good job in making Dude into a serious, legitimate wrestler, who is also an asshole, but funny too. Even though there is a little bit of Dude Love in The 70's Dude, Failed Mascot has added his own "flavor" into it, so that it doesn't come off like a total carbon copy of Dude Love. I also like how Mascot writes his matches in italics, but he keeps the commentary in the regular TSM font. That little detail makes him stand out when you're reading the shows. You can tell it was him who wrote it, just by reading the action in italics. To me, the most "unique" writers in the OAOAST are Patty O' Green, Failed Mascot, and Phemon. By "unique" I mean that their writing styles are different from the rest of us, and therefore tend to stand out more. That's not to say that the rest of the OAOAST writers are bad, far from it, but the way Patty, Phemon, and Mascot write their segments, are very different from how everyone else writes their stuff. I think all the OAOAST writers are great, these three just happen to have different styles. I was beginning to wonder where the hell Calvin Czechstein was, and I thought that Chuck Woolery had left the OAOAST, but I'm glad he's back, since I enjoy the Calvin Szechstein character, and am looking forward to his run as a babyface. I was suprised that he destroyed Dude's van using a school bus. That's certainly an interesting vechicle to use in destroying something. Although if he destroyed the van using the Patridge Family bus, then that would have made it 1,000,000 times better. There would be something funny, and demented about the Patridge Family bus being used for destruction puproses, and it would be related somehow to The 70's Dude's character. But it's too late to change it now, still it was a cool segment, and I look forward to the Calvin/Dude match-up at Zero Hour. That should be very good. I just hope Chuck isn't leaving the OAOAST. So overall, it was another great show, the 430,589th great show in a roll. I enjoyed all of it, and I can't wait till Zero Hour this Sunday. Thumbs Up! Damn, this took a while to write. I started this at 3:00 and it's 4:35 when I send this in! My God. How do you detailed segment by segment feedback-ers do this every week? I applaud you. My fingers hurt now, so I'll stop....here.

OAOAST World Title Drek Stone © vs. Hoff WINNER: Hmmm. This is actually a tough one. At first, I would have said Drek easily, BUT, after reading the buildup, and the fact that this is taking place in Hoff's hometown, and the fact that they are already hinting at a possible Hoff vs. Axel match at AngleMania IV, this is really a tough decision. Still, I'll go with Drek, since I think it makes more sense if Drek's World Title reign ends at AngleMania IV. (Sorry Hoff ) Anderson Cup Black T vs. The Global Party Exchange WINNER: This is another hard one as both teams are awesome and have been former tag team champions, so it's not like one team should win because it's their time to win the tag belts. This could go either way also since Black T are heels, but GPX have shown signs of a possible heel turn also. So, I'll go with GPX winning, but they'll turn heel during the buildup to the AngleMania IV Tag Title match. Axel vs. The Mad Cappa WINNER: Axel "The Corporate Champion" Tha Puerto Rican vs. Panther WINNER: Well, I can't tell you. But what I CAN tell you is that you will be suprised at what Papacita and I have planned for this matchup! OAOAST X-Division Title Leon Rodez © vs. Chris Stevens WINNER: Leon Rodez Calvin Szechstein vs. The 70's Dude WINNER: This is a tough one as well. If the OAOAST was real, then The 70's Dude would most likely win, since it would make sense that the legit main eventer and former World Champion put over the rookie and future of the company. I pick The 70's Dude, since Dude has been on fire lately. I've noticed that Chuck Woolery hasn't written much in the past few weeks. Is Calvin Szechstein leaving the OAOAST? HI-YAH Tag Titles The Love Doctors © vs. Hell's Hitman WINNER: Hell's Hitmen 6-Person Tag Saints & Jim Cornette vs. New New Midnight Express & Holly-Wood WINNER: Saints & Jim Cornette, to build to a rematch at AngleMania IV.

-Fallout from the Panther/Puerto Rican match from Zero Hour. You'll be suprised at what Papacita and I have planned for our Zero Hour match! -I suppose I'll write a Lightning Crew match against some jobber, although once again, if any of you would like a match against a LC member, go ahead, I'll allow it. Just PM me first to let me know. -And a Lightning Crew segment Oh, and the "Kickin' It OLD SKOOL~!!!" segment is free to be used by anybody in the OAOAST. You don't have to PM me about it either, just go ahead and use it whenever you want. I would like it if becomes a somewhat regular part of HeldDOWN~!. So, just go ahead and use "Kickin' It OLD SKOOL~!!!" to your delight, I won't stop you.

The show's taking place at the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Last Simpsons episode you truly enjoyed..
Ed Wood Caulfield replied to King Cucaracha's topic in Television & Film
I don't actually hate The Simpsons like some people on this board do. Yeah, I'll admit that it is not the same, and that these new episodes can't possibly compare to the early seasons, but I still laugh, and I still find it enjoyable, and so that's all that matters. Still, I find Family Guy and Arrested Development funnier than The Simpsons today (well I find them funnier than The Simpsons since Season 13 actually). And Treehouse Of Horror X was great. Flanders as a werewolf, the Xena one, and the Millenium one were hilarious. The Ritalin One, the Food Critic, and the Tomacco episodes weren't that great, I agree, but I loved Treehouse Of Horror X and it was the second best episode of Season 11 (right behind Behind The Laughter, which was awesome as well). -
Thank You! It's all coming back to me now. I loved those shows.

Oh God, I remember actually liking "Tattooed Teenage Alien Fighters From Beverly Hills" when it was on USA. Well, I only saw like 2 or 3 episodes, but I liked what I saw. Then I saw the first episode when they got their powers, which they got when their leader, which was some sort of alien rock or something, grew out arms and touched their forearms, giving them the tattoos. That freaked me out for some reason, the fact that the alien rock grew out arms, so I stopped watching it, and haven't seen it since. Looking back, the show was kinda bad. The special effects were laughable, and they had some really goofy monsters on there. "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers" had better monsters and better effects! As for "Superhuman Samurai Syber-Squad" and "V.R. Troopers", those were MY shows! I used to watch those shows obsessively. Every Monday-Friday from 5-6 p.m. on Channel 11 in New York (which became the WB), I would sit in front of the T.V. and just stare at it watching those shows. They were my favorite shows on T.V. for a while, and I had a HUGE crush on Sidney from "Syber-Squad" and Katlin from "V.R. Troopers". I still remember the theme songs to this day, infact, I am humming the "Super Human Samurai Syber-Squad" theme song as I write this. I know that "Super Human Samurai Syber-Squad" ended after one season, but didn't "V.R. Troopers" have 2 or even 3 seasons? I remember watching new episodes in the summer of 1996, when the show debuted in September 1994. I remember that it went on for quite a while. Back on topic, anyone remember that when Cartoon Network debuted in like late 1992, early 1993, that all they use to show were obscure/forgotten cartoons and Warner Brothers/MGM shorts? I remember watching a bunch of these obscure shows everyday, as when I first found out about Cartoon Network in early 1993, all I did everyday was watch it because I was intrigued by a 24-hour all cartoons, all the time channel. I also remember that they ran the same 4 or 5 commercials everyday. Some of the shows I remember watching in the early days of Catoon Network: -"Snorks" -"Centariouns" -There was this cartoon that I loved on Cartoon Network. I don't know the name, but all I remember that it was a cartoon about a forrest inhabited by teddy bears, and they were ruled by a princess teddy bear. Anyone know what I'm talking about? -There was also another show, probalby from the 70s, where this guy would turn into a werewolf anytime he saw a picture of the moon, and then turn back to a human everytime he saw a picture of the sun. -"Wish Kid" (atleast I think that's the name of it. It was this show where this baby made a rocket ship out of a sand castle every week, and he was friends with this toy robot dude, and someone else, and they would go on all these wacky fun adventures. Anyone know what I'm talking about?) And I remember that NBC had a cartoon block of it's own on Saturday mornings in the early 90's. I remember watching "Pro Stars" and this cartoon about alien or robot cat superheroes that was really cool and funny. I also remember loving "Bonkers", "Chip N' Dale's Rescue Rangers", "Conan The Barbarian" (every morning before school when I was in 1st Grade), "G-Force", "Captain Planet", "Noozles", "Goof Troop", "The Mighty Ducks" (with Ian "Steve" Ziegling from Beverly Hills 90210 as the star!), "Monster Mania" (although I saw it once), "Slimer And The Real Ghostbusters", "Beetlejuice", "Tiny Toons Adventures", and this cartoon that was on Nickelodeon about a guy named Tin or something. He had a dog named Snowy, and he traveled with this old guy and they had adventures. It was on every Monday-Friday at 2 P.M. in 1995. It was based on a comic from the 1930s I think. I've seen tons of cartoons on Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, and non-cable television that I don't remember now. I do remember that all they showed on CN was obscure cartoons and Looney Tunes/MGM cartoons before they had original programming starting with "Space Ghost: Coast To Coast" followed by the "What-A-Cartoon" shorts and so on and so on. Reading this thread is bringing back memories...and making me feel older than I really am. Oh and what about "Doug"? And "Disney's Brand Spanking New Doug"? And "Rocko's Modern Life"? That seems to have been forgotten by the general public.
