Tha Puerto Rican (at the time known as Puerto Rican Lightning) debuted the Puerto Rican Championship on the March 22, 2003 episode of Road to AngleMania II. He held the belt until June 29, 2003 when he lost it to "Shooter" Jay Darring in a Ladder Match for the OAOAST North American and Puerto Rican Championships. Jay Darring vacated the Puerto Rican Championship on the July 21, 2003 episode of IntenseZone, throwing it in a dumpster in disgust as payback for PRL and The Lightning Crew torturing Lauren Gellar. PRL returned to IZ with the Puerto Rican Championship on the August 26, 2003 edition of IntenseZone saying that he was now a 2-Time Puerto Rican Champion since Jay's throwing of the belt into a dumpster was considered Jay vacating the belt, and according to the "Puerto Rican Championship Rulebook" Rule #252 states: "If the Puerto Rican Champion does not have the Puerto Rican Championship in his/her possesion for more than 24 hours, he/she has vacated the belt and the belt must return to the person that had the belt before the person that has the belt now had it." Jay threw the belt into the dumpster on July 21, 2003, and it stood in the dumpster until July 23, 2003, more than 24 hours later. Since Jay didn't have the belt for 24 hours, it was ordered that he vacate the belt, and the belt be returned to PRL. PRL lost the belt on March 28, 2004 to The Mad Cappa at AngleMania III. Mad Cappa held the belt from March 28, 2004 till June 27, 2004 where he lost it to Drek Stone. Also, PRL only won the NA Title once. "Shooter" Jay Darring held the North American Title defeating Andrew Hyland at School's Out on May 25, 2003 and held the belt until July 28, 2003, where he lost it to K-NESS. K-NESS held the title from July 28, 2003 until September 28, 2003 where he lost it to Puerto Rican Lightning. PRL held the belt for 5 months, becoming the longest reigning NA Champ in OAOAST history, and lost it to Shuffle on January 25, 2004 at Anglepalooza. To help fill the gaps: Derek Stone -- June 27, 2004-Present (Stone renamed title to OAOAST Italian Championship on the 7-1-04 edition of HeldDown!) The Mad Cappa -- March 28, 2004-June 27, 2004 Puerto Rican Lightning -- July 23, 2003-March 28, 2004 Shooter Jay Darring -- June 29, 2003-July 21, 2003 (Title was merged with the NA championship, but once again became independent months later) Puerto Rican Lightning -- March 22, 2003-June 29, 2003

The Rock is my all-time favorite wrestler, so I've taken some of his mannerisms and moves and included them into PRL's moveset due to that. It's also something I've taken from a EWR storyline I once did in which Tha Puerto Rican was trying to be like The Rock but only came across as a wannabe. I've acknowledged the obvious comparisons between PRL and The Rock once in a while in some segments I've done, and in those segments, Tha Puerto Rican has said he doesn't know who The Rock is, or why people think he's trying to be like The Rock or so he claims.

Actually, Zack, "And That's The Truth, Ruth!" is one of PRL's catchpharases. I've used it before with PRL. I just wrote Popick using it tonight, just like PRL used Popick's catchphrase (Fuck me? Fuck You!). So, this is the last HeldDOWN~! I'm sending stuff in for a few months. P.R. is in jail, and he won't be back until the fall/winter, so I won't be apart of the show for the whole summer. I'm just taking a break from the OAOAST, since I've been apart of the efed for a year and a half. I'm taking a break from writing, so that I can reenergized myself, relax, so that I can come back 100%. Plus, I'm moving to Miami, Florida, so I have to do the move, and get accostumed to my new surroundings, and stuff like that. Trust me, what's going to happen when Tha Puerto Rican returns will be shocking and interesting. Even though I'm going to be away, I don't want The Lightning Crew to disappear. Stephen Joseph is in charge of The Lightning Crew now. The Lightning Crew are: Cuban Wall, Vitamin X, Ms. Lindsay Gonzalez, Mr. Boricua, and Thomas Rodriguez. I posted their stats in the Character Specs thread, so if anyone would like to feud with a Lightning Crew member, just PM Popick for permission, so that we don't have 2 or 3 people feuding with the same wrestler at once. Popick, please try not to leave The Lightning Crew by the wayside, try and keep them active if you can. We still got an angle to continue! I'll still be reading HeldDOWN~! and the pay-per-views to catch up. But, I won't be contributing again, until, either October or November. So, until then, Popick has control of The Lightning Crew. I will be back, because there will be some suprising things that will happen to Tha Puerto Rican when he gets out of jail. So, I'll see you all in a few months. Later. -"The Corporate Champion" Tha Puerto Rican a.k.a. The #1 MST3K Mark

I remember the New York Knicks getting a good amount of coverage and attention in New York City back in 1994 during their run to the NBA Finals. I remembered it was the Rangers first, the Knicks second, the Yankees at third with the Mets at fourth. I don't remember seeing the Yankees get alot of coverage while the NBA and NHL playoffs were happening, but I could be wrong. I do remember the Yankees and Mets being pretty much forgotten when the Rangers won the Cup. The Knicks were in the spotlight back in 1999 when they went to the Finals again, although they had to share the spotlight this time with the Yankees and the Mets, who were both having winning seasons, and so all three teams got a great amount of attention and coverage. I look at it a little differently. I take into account that whatever is going on currently (Baseball, football, hockey, basketball) is probably going to get the lions share of the coverage. The real way to check a sport's true popularity is it's coverage in the off season. Baseball blows the other three out of the water. And 99 Knicks were nowhere near the excitement level of the Yankees or even the Mets. True. The Yankees defintley get the most attention during the off-season, particulary when they get a big name player to join the team (Giambi in 2001, A-Rod in 2004). It defintley gets alot of coverage, lasting days even weeks.

Tha Puerto Rican will be back in the hiz-ouse for one night only. My break from the OAOAST starts right after the next hD~! so this will be the last show I'll be sending stuff for the next few months (Probalby 3-4 months). Due to this, the Colombian Heat/P.R. feud is over. But Tha Puerto Rican will not completley disappear, since Popick will be controlling P.R. and The Lightning Crew now until I get back. On deck for this week: -Tha Puerto Rican gives his side of the story. His explanation as to why he joined up with Stephen Joseph. Plus, SJ has a special suprise for P.R., this will be an important plot devlopment -Short Lightning Crew segment -Tha Puerto Rican (with Stephen Joseph Popick in his corner) vs. an OAOAST enchancement talent with some slight modifications to Tha Puerto Rican debuting during this match, continuing the P.R./SJ alliance and advancing this angle
-
Okay. So, I WON'T be sending anything this week, but next week instead. But Stephen Joseph will be once again handling the P.R./SJ alliance, so expect everything from him this week.

I may do something concerning the P.R./SJ alliance, I have to talk it over with Popick first, though. Maybe even a P.R. match. The P.R./Colombian Heat feud is most likely over too.
-
Nothing from me this week. I gots stuff to do. I don't know if Tha Puerto Rican/Colombian Heat will continue, because I may have to start my break in the middle of June instead of the end of June-July if some things happen in my life in the next few weeks. But Stephen Joseph will be writing the explanation for the P.R./SJ alliance on this week's show to continue that angle and plot devlopment.

I didn't think the Bible episode was bad. They were only given 30 minutes to show that the Bible was a work of fiction. I think they did good with the time they had. How much more was needed? I think they did the best they could with the time they had and I did liked how they ended it: reading the entire Bible front to back will convert you into an Atheist. How would you have done it differently? What would you do or not do?

I saw a five minute overview of Penn & Teller: Bullshit! on my OnDemand service and it said that the topics they would take on during the 6 episodes they have left this season during the summer would be: -The Business of Death: What people do to try to never die, or live longer than humans can possibly live. -All Things French: This looks interesting -Profanity -Ghosts and other supernatural bullshit like faithealers -Are so-called "junk food" and "fatty foods" like bacon, candy, and eggs as dangerous and unhealthy as scientists say? -Christmas: I think I already know what they will say here: THERE IS NO GOD! THERE IS NO JESUS!!! THERE'S NO REASON TO CELEBRATE IT!!! I've seen all the episodes. I am a big fan of the show. Most of the stuff on the show I don't believe in myself (New Age Crap, Creationism, Weight loss techniques) so I just watch and laugh at Penn & Teller's expose. They've only shocked me a few times (the one about romantic love being a myth, the Bible episode as I was shocked they would actually go through with it, recycling) but I'm suprised at the courage they have. Sometimes, Penn & Teller act like assholes to the people and topics they're making fun of though, even though I don't think some of the people deserve to be treated that way. The show hasn't actually changed my opinion in alot of stuff, since I either didn't believe or still believe in the topics they tackled. The only times my views have been changed are the recycling episode, the enviromental hysteria episode, and the one about second-hand smoke. Has anyone ever had their viewpoint changed because of Penn & Teller: Bullshit!? Still, even though sometimes I don't agree with their viewpoint or the way they go through with it, I still like the show since all the episodes are funny and Penn & Teller themselves are interesting.

NY Untouchable, great, great job with the Drek Stone/Mad Cappa match! Very nice. I loved the brainbuster spot, that was sweet. I loved the match and I can't wait to see where you are going to take this feud. I'm sure The Mad Cappa would love it too. And I liked the nod to Cappa during the intro. That was very nice of you, Popick. Glad to see people liked the Empty Arena Match. And I'm glad that Popick's heel turn was a suprise. SJ and I had this planned for a month now, and no one expected it to happen, which was a good thing. There will be some interesting devlopments coming from this alliance, I can guarantee you that. And I'm also glad the ending was a suprise too. I'm still reading the show, but I've liked what I read. Once again, an excellent OaOasT show, and I'm sure a show that is better than Judgment Day (although I haven't seen Judgment Day, but I'm sure this show is better than it). Thanks for the feedback, it's greatly apperciated. I can't wait to continue with the P.R./SJ alliance and the P.R./Heat feud.
