The ONE and ONLY MTV Music Video Awards 2003

I just saw Avril on the pre-show. WOW! She looked really HOT tonight. I'll watch the show only for Chris Rock's opening monolague, Avril's appearance, and to see if Johnny Cash wins Best Video. Btw, Cash has already won Best Cinematography In A Video For "Hurt".

    MTV VMAs...tonight

One reason: Avril. That is all. EDIT: I just saw her on the Pre-Show. DAMN!

Well, that sure does explain why all these "Dirty South" rappers sound exactly the same. And why I can't tell R&B songs apart anymore especially R.Kelly's, whose songs all sound like the "Fiesta (Remix)". And why I can't tell these pop-punk bands apart. It also explains how a no-talent hack like 50 Suck can be so damn popular. He is backed by Eminem afterall. Eminem has his own record label. Em's rich. There's the explanation. And I just would like some of my favorite artists like Public Enemy or Talib Kweli get some more airplay on MTV because MTV needs all the talent they can get. None of the kids in my school had no idea who P.E. or Talib Kweli were and that saddened me.

I just don't get how the artists I like the most get the least airplay on mainstream radio/MTV.

I feel the exact same right about Chingy's "Right Thurr". I know it's a dumb song. I know Chingy isn't the best rapper in the world. I know Chingy's no different from any of the other terrible rappers on mainstream radio today (50 SUCK!!!). And I know the "Chicken Dance" is one of the worst dances in the history of music. But DAMN! That song is really catchy! I'm actually alittle ashamed I like that song considering how much I hate these "Dirty South" rappers with their dumb pronounceations. Oh, and how much I hate Nelly, Ja Rule, 50 Suck, and P.Diddy. Ludacris, Busta Rhymes, Outkast, Talib Kweli, Eminem, The Neptunes, and Jay-Z are the current rappers I like. And of course, you probalby know by now how much I love Public Enemy who just released a new album that is getting absolutely NO AIRPLAY on MTV or mainstream radio at all. Meanwhile, MTV and mainstream radio shove 50 Suck down our throat. Great idea, guys. Excellent one *sticks middle finger out*.

What was the most shocking good match ever?

Shawn Michaels vs. Triple H-SummerSlam 2002. Remember how it seem like everyone on the net was predicting that match would blow since HHH sucked and Shawn hadn't wrestled in 5 years? That match was one of the highlights of SummerSlam and part of the reason why it was an awesome PPV and the best PPV of 2002.

Just give Shane the belt already

Eh, I liked Shane better back in 1999-2000 when he was Vince McMahon's annoying brat of a son who got his ass kicked big time by Rock, Mankind, Test, and Stone Cold. This new "Badass Super" Shane O' Mac who can beat an unstoppable monster like Kane is boring and ridicolous. FUCK! X-Pac even once kicked Shane's ass! I rather have him be an annoying annoucer who shouted "BOO-YAH!" at random intervals trying to be cool, then be a non-wrestler who can beat Kane.

Short lived TV shows no one seems to remember

You ain't crazy. I remember that show, I just don't know the name of it.

    FUCK SUMMERSLAM.

I thought this year's SummerSlam was good. Not as good as last year's SummerSlam, but good none the less.

Short lived TV shows no one seems to remember

I never saw "That Was Then" but the premise reminds me of another show that was on the WB just fall. I don't know the name of it but I know that it was shown every Thursday night and I use to flip between it and SmackDown!. I don't know the name but the show was about this guy in his 40s who gets zapped with hospital paddles to his head and was sent back to 1980 when he was 16 years old. He's stuck there so he decides to redo his life all over again. I remember also that his best friend was the only person who believed he had traveled back in time. I liked the show alot. I also thought the guy's other friend who was a girl was pretty. My favorite moment from the show is when the guy and his friends were on line to see "The Empire Strikes Back" but a man in a Darth Vader costume cuts in front of him on line. So, the guy yells out "Hey! You wanna know what's the big suprise in 'The Empire Strikes Back'?" The Darth Vader guy turns around and saids "I wouldn't do that if I were you." But the guy yells out "Darth Vader is Luke Skywalker's father!" and gets punched in the face by the Darth Vader guy. It just got cancelled after I think 8 episodes. Does anyone remember that show? It was on from October till February I think.

Seriously is there any Rock respect?

Oh, and for all you hardcore rock fans, I suggest you try the new version of "Headbangers Ball" on MTV2 and "Uranium" on Fuse which is hosted by this hot goth chick named Juliya C.

Seriously is there any Rock respect?

I think Audioslave is also classified as just "rock" according to MTV.

Seriously is there any Rock respect?

MTV needs all the actual talented artists they can get. More Johnny Cash. Less 50 Suck.

Seriously is there any Rock respect?

If it makes you feel better, Damaramu, I'm a 16 year old kid but I don't like most of the stuff that is played on MTV. I, myself, like hip-hop, but I don't like most of the hip-hop shown on MTV, espeically 50 Cent. I HATE 50 SUCK!!! I'm mostly into old-school hip-hop like Public Enemy. Even though I don't actually like most of the artists on MTV, I still watch it out of morbid curiousity...that and I'm interested in the artists the kids in my school will think are "cool" and "thugs" and shit like that. Plus, I like Avril Lavigne. I rather have Public Enemy than 50 Suck thank you very much. And, it's rare, but sometimes I actually listen to a song shown on that channel that I actually like. It happens a few rare occasions though. That being said, I am rooting big time for Johnny Cash to win Best Video at the VMAs. Not only because I love "Hurt" but because I want 50 SUCK to lose. I would like to keep on listening to Public Enemy and watch Mystery Science Theater 3000 than listening to 50 Cent and watching whatever reality crap is shown on MTV.

Seriously is there any Rock respect?

Damaramu, if you want to see alot of metal/punk/etc. you should get Fuse. They play more rock than rap.
  17. Ed Wood Caulfield

Seriously is there any Rock respect?

If you don't like what they play on MTV, why do you still watch?

The one and only SummerSham 2003 Thread

If we go by wrestling history, including last year's Survivor Series, due to the fact that the WWE Championship match is in the middle of the card, it seems as though Brock Lesnar may win this match.

    Heaven and Hell...

If Heaven is what you want it to be, then my heaven will be watching MST3K episodes all day long and playing Playstation 2 with Christy Romano. I would also ride roller coasters in between watching MST3K episodes. The best part is there would be no limit to how long I would play because there is no time limit in Heaven. If hell exists, and it's your own personal hell, then my Hell would be being blind and forced to listen to 50 Suck songs for all eternity. I wonder how that would work anyway. When you die, are you immediatley thrown into your own heaven/hell or do you meet God first who introduces you to your own personal heaven/hell?
