Perfect timing to put the belt on a guy

I've thought about this a little bit, and I just realized: even if Sting defeated Hogan fair and square and killed the nWo, how exactly would the nWo end after Starrcade? Would Hogan go on Nitro the next night and say that he was disbanding the group? Or, like what "Macho Man" did, would members start leaving one by one until it was just Hogan and Bischoff? Furthermore, with all the money that they made off of Starrcade, I am not surprised that they did a rematch at SuperBrawl VIII. So you would have to think that the group would still be around for a little while longer to give Hogan some backup since the fans wouldn't think he would have a shot by himself against Sting. Third, who would face Sting if the nWo were to end after Starrcade 1997? Because everyone else seemed busy at the time. I know Scott Hall got a WCW World Heavyweight Title shot, but besides a rematch with Hogan and a match with Hall, who else could Sting face? Basically, what I'm trying to say is, even if the Sting/Hogan feud got the proper blowoff, there was nowhere to go from there. Everything was leading up to Starrcade and after that WCW would have no idea what to do (as usual).

    WWE Old School

What was up with Earl Hebner pushing Tito Santana so that he had IRS in a headlock on the mat during their match? Did somebody fuck up and Earl had to correct it?

Do ya'll remember the old way of the OAOAST?

To be fair, I think the main reason that HeldDOWN~! goes up now at 11, 12, or 1 a.m. Friday morning where I'm at is because Patty lives in the West Coast, right? I remember KingPK (who lives in the East Coast) used to post the shows at 10 or 11 Thursday nights, so it's not unusual for HeldDOWN~! to be posted on Thursday nights around primetime, which is appropriate, since that's when HeldDOWN~! is supposed to be on the air anyway, am i rite?

Do ya'll remember the old way of the OAOAST?

I don't remember that. I've been in the OAOAST since AngleMania II and from what I recall, it was always send your stuff by the day of the show. Posting times used to be much earlier though. Pay-per-views used to be posted on Sunday afternoons, and Zack used to post HeldDOWN~!'s either Thursday afternoons or Thursday evenings at 6-7 p.m.

Perfect timing to put the belt on a guy

At what point during the buildup did they decide to do the bullshit fast count finish? At any point during the buildup did they ever think of just having Sting destroy "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan and kill the nWo?

Perfect timing to put the belt on a guy

Yeah, especially when Starrcade was traditionally the biggest show of the year. I'm pretty sure Piper himself drew up the contract. So maybe the subtle explanation was that he just wanted a match with Hogan and didn't give a shit about becoming WCW World Heavyweight Champion? It would have been nice if they actually MENTIONED that, or better yet, actually made the match for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship! Anyway, did WCW know that they were going to do Hogan vs. Sting eventually at that point in time (December 1996)?

    WWF Survivor Series 1992

WWF Survivor Series 1992 had the same exact quality as everything else on WWE 24/7 when I watched it this afternoon. I have no idea why everyone seemed to be getting the WWE 24/7 Online quality.

WCW facts, tidbits, and stuff people forgot

To make matters even more comical, I'm quite certain that graphic popped during the Nasty Boys' entrance. The constant lack of communication between the booking committee and production staff always hindered the product. Speaking of graphic fuckups, check out the commercial for the "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan/Sting WCW World Heavyweight Championship Match at WCW Starrcade 1997 (the one with Sting in the broken down Cathederal). They misspelled Hollywood "Hollvwood". Even when advertising WCW's biggest match ever they couldn't help but fuck up.

Your favorite Royal Rumble to Wrestlemania booking?

Yeah, it's almost like Austin is already regretting agreeing to team up with Vince McMahon. It's like he's thinking, "How can I team up with that sumbitch!?" But then he swallows his pride and heads to the match because he feels like he has to go through with it anyway since he NEEDS to be WWF Champion. Or perhaps I'm looking WAY too much into that one shot. And KC-Rey Mysterio won the 2006 Royal Rumble Match. Undertaker won the 2007 Royal Rumble Match. I don't really remember much of the buildup to the Undertaker/Batista match at WrestleMania 23: All Grown Up outside of the No Way Out 2007 tag team match against John Cena and Shawn Michaels. Speaking of which, I definitely remember more of the buildup to the Cena/HBK match what with them winning the World Tag Team Championship, and Rated RKO telling Cena not to trust HBK and trying to prove it by showing a video package of HBK turning on various people, and Cena and HBK each shilling their DVDs in that funny segment. Both matches ended up being really good though.

Yep, Shawn Michaels and Diesel were called the 2 Dudes With Attitudes. Diesel even had tights with 2 Dudes With Attitudes written on the tanktop.

    HD: Badd Boyz segment

The camera cuts to a close-up of a hideously scarred back. The camera pulls back to reveal that the back belongs to Colombian Heat. The crowd cheers loudly. Colombian Heat puts on his orange T-shirt, a serious expression on his face. The OAOAST United States Championship belt sits on a tan sofa behind Heat. Heat goes to put on his yellow basketball jersey, when Tha Puerto Rican walks into the room. Tha Puerto Rican is wearing his Puerto Rican flag bandana, an earring in his left ear, a gold chain around his neck, a white dress shirt, black tie, black sports jacket, a $500 Rolex watch on his right wrist, black dress pants with a leather belt, and black dress shoes. Tha Puerto Rican has the OAOAST World Heavyweight Championship belt over his left shoulder. THA PUERTO RICAN Heat, you sure you wanna do this? You can back out right now, if you want to. COLOMBIAN HEAT Yo, P, bro, don't worry. I gots dis. You understand? I ain't neva gonna back down cuz of somethin' some punk bitch did to me! THA PUERTO RICAN You're not exactly 100%, man. The Deadly Alliance really did a number on you last Thursday. HEAT Chill, B. I've been in worse situations. The scars will heal. And besides, chicks dig scars, you know what I'm sayin'? You know what I'm sayin'? HA! HA! THA PUERTO RICAN I'm just checking on ya. Alfdogg is looking to send a message tonight to me two weeks before Zero Hour. HEAT P.R., the only one dat is gonna be sendin' a message tonight is me! Think of it as me representin' you in the ring tonight. What I do to Alfdogg, I KNOW dat you're going to do 10 times worse to him at Zero Hour! Jigga thinks he can get away with scarring mah back! HA! Fool got another thing comin' if he thinks he can just do dat and walk away scot free! I am fixing to give him an All-American ASS WHOOPING! I WILL LAYETH THE SMACKETH DOWN ON HIS CANDY ASS TONIGHT! The crowd cheers loudly. Colombian Heat puts on his yellow basketball jersey over his orange T-shirt. The OAOAST United States Champion looks at his best friend and OAOAST World Heavyweight Champion, who has a worried look on his face. Heat adjusts the yellow basketball jersey and then takes a deep breath. HEAT A'ight. I'm ready. THA PUERTO RICAN Hey. Be careful. I'll be watching the match. If you need any help, holla. HEAT Thanks, P.R., but I's dat think I can take care of dis on mah own. But yeah, I know you've got mah back always. THA PUERTO RICAN Damn right. Colombian Heat and Tha Puerto Rican both throw up the "Killa B's", and then bump "Killa B's" together. HEAT Now if you excuse me, I got a Title to defend. After wot Alfdogg and his crew did to me, I am READY to dish out an ASS-WHOOPING TO THE HIGHEST DEGREE! BADD BOYZ STYLE! YESSIR! And then you will go ahead and finish off Alfie in two weeks at Zero Hour like I KNOW you will! A'ight, I gotta go. I'll be back in a few minutes, STILL having the OAOAST United States Championship belt around mah waist! A'ight, later. THA PUERTO RICAN See you later, Heat. The Badd Boyz high five each other. Colombian Heat dusts his right shoulder off and then says, "He ain't nothin' but dirt off mah shoulder!" PRL chuckles. Heat grins and nods his head. Colombian Heat grabs the OAOAST United States Championship belt with his right hand. He opens the door to the lockerroom, waves goodbye to Tha Puerto Rican, throws up a "Killa B" which PRL responds to in kind, and then nods his head again. Colombian Heat exits the lockerroom, closing the door behind him. THA PUERTO RICAN I'm so nervous for him! Tha Puerto Rican covers his face with his right hand and lets out a sigh. Tha Puerto Rican has a worried look on his face as the segment ends.

EWC or anyone involved with the world title! Or anyone at all!

Well, I already have someone lined up to drop the OAOAST World Heavyweight Title to. But I don't see any problem with Jerome Grey feuding with the guy PRL drops the OAOAST Championship to. Does he want to feud with Colombian Heat in the meantime?

    Angleslam Feedback

I never checked how many words it was, but I do know that writing it on Microsoft Word it was 131 pages long, so it was definitely much longer than my usual length (I usually end up somewhere between 50-85 pages). Yeah, I said it was going to be an Iron Man Match, and DAMNIT, I was going to do one! I watched The Rock/HHH Iron Man Match for the WWF Championship with Special Guest Referee Shawn Michaels from WWF Judgment Day 2000 to get an idea on how to time it. And the ending was my little "homage" to the Shawn Michaels/Bret Hart Iron Man Match for the WWF Championship from WWF WrestleMania XII. And the reason that it was late in the first place was because I had my cousins and my aunt and uncle from New York come to visit me the week of AngleSlam. I started writing the match like August 16th, and did little by little in the days afterwards, but then my family came when I was only about half-way done with it (I had only done about 20 minutes of it so far when they came), and I had no time. I thought about maybe doing like 5 minutes a day while they were here, but then I went to Walt Disney World, and well, I sorta stopped thinking about the match. lol But the important thing is that the match is finally done. PRL wasn't the only one exhausted, I was too! Good God! I am NEVER doing an Iron Man Match EVER AGAIN! Oy.
