I thought the song was pretty good. I'd agree that the first album was better than Toxicity, but Toxicity was still a pretty good album. I'll be checking out this album for sure.

The Steelers free agency is pretty interesting. Sean Morey WR ERFA Bo Lacy OT ERFA Eric Taylor DE ERFA Grant Bowman DT ERFA Dedrick Roper LB ERFA Vontez Duff CB ERFA Verron Haynes RB RFA Lee Mays WR RFA Brett Keisel DE RFA Larry Foote LB RFA Chris Hope FS RFA Jeff Reed PK RFA Charlie Batch QB UFA Plaxico Burress WR UFA Matt Cushing TE UFA Barrett Brooks OT UFA Oliver Ross OT UFA Kendrick Clancy DT UFA Kendrell Bell LB UFA Willie Williams CB UFA Ainsley Battles SS UFA Tyrone Carter FS UFA Haynes, Foote, Hope, and Reed are restricted FAs who I think they have to keep. I don't know that they'll be getting any offers, but if they do they will probably have to match them. Kendrell Bell is probably out the door after this year. His rookie year was very impressive, but he's been injured every year since then and I don't think the Steelers think he is reliable enough to hold on to. Plaxico Burress is likely gone too. He has already said he'd like to play elsewhere and the Steelers are one of those organizations that don't like having players who they think are going to be a problem for the team. He'll be very tough to replace. Oliver Ross is probably gone at tackle too after having a good year for the first time ever. He'll probably get a decent offer somewhere and be out. Willie Williams is kind of interesting because I don't know if they want to keep him, but he might be necessary just to have a veteran at CB. Chad Scott is set to make a lot of money this year and will possibly be cut. No one else on the list really matters too much.

My opinion of this depends entirely on what music she was listening to.

Even the way that I heard the story originally where Culpepper is made to look like a vilian I really didnt see a problem with what he did. He let the kid feel good about himself wearing the chains in front of all the people and then Daunte offered to send him some free stuff, which I haven't heard reports of any other players there doing. I'm sure Culpepper doesn't really care about the value of the chains so much as the personal meaning in them. The press wants everyone to look bad though so I'm not surprised.

Off the top of my head I'm thinking you have to go all the way back to Larry Bird in '86 for a white guy winning MVP. I'm going to have to agree with Steve Nash for the reasons already stated. I think his lack of defensive ability may take away a lot of the votes though.

The highest paid is now actually Jack Wilson after his 2 year $8 million deal. I'd listen to him more if he was a decent owner. The thing I'm interested in though is that there seem to be a few owners now in the MLB starting to dislike the current CBA. The new one is in a couple years and it will be interesting to see what comes of it.

I thought the movie was awesome. He makes fun of himself just like others do and is actually pretty funny in the movie. There's a different celebrity cameo almost every scene.

Mewes has been sober for over a year now. After he went to court for his heroin stuff he went to rehab and I think is still on probation. It's a sort of forced sobriety, but he's been doing well with it.

If you didn't know, Frameshift is a band put together by a guy named Henning Pauly. He plays all of the instruments and then gets a different vocalist to come in for each album. It's a prog rock type band. I was a big fan of the first Frameshift with Jame from Dream Theater on vocals and I just saw these video clips off the new one with Sebastian Bach. This sounds like it is going to be a ton better. It's probably the album I'm going to look forward to most this year. The music covers a very wide range as do Sebastian's vocals. Here are the sample video clips: This Is Gonna Hurt Human Grain Just One More In An Empty Room How Long Can I Resist Push The Button When I Look Into My Eyes Blade Miseducation Outcast I Killed You This one is a sort of concept album about violence, to see a description check out http://www.frameshift2.com/story.php

I'm a big fan of theirs, but I don't think they're that underrated. They didn't play a style that was ever that popular. Their fan base is about as big as you can expect for a band that was largely ignored in their time and hasn't put out an album in 20 years. I hear tons of bands saying how infuential they were, so I think they get about what credit they deserve.

Sega did such a good job giving the games the complete ESPN feel too. I guess the price drop was the biggest mistake they could have possibly made.

Drinking listerine in your car isn't a good idea

I remember back when I was in Driver's Ed we had a cop come in and talk to us and he said that just for fun one day he drank some mouth wash and gave himself a breathilizer and blew something like a .25. He was a pretty weird guy. -
Usually most of the All Star tickets will end up being sold to season ticket holders. I don't know if they are even easily available to anyone else. If they are they're usually gone pretty quickly. Your best bet is just to check around on online ticket sites. Doing just a quick check the cheapest seats I've seen were over $350 and that's for the worst seats there.

Conference Championship Prediction Thread

I like Atlanta in the NFC because of that running game. It won't be as out of control as it was this week, but Philadelphia's run D hasn't been that great this year so I think Atlanta can control the ball for a while and hold on. It'll be a close game though. Something like Atlanta 21 Philadelphia 17 In the AFC I think the Patriots might have an edge based on their play this week, but the Steelers seem to play at their best as home underdogs, so that may give them a big boost. The running games will definitely decide this one. Dillon has had some good games against the Steelers in the past, but has also had his share of games where he was shut down. Duce Staley look like he's back to 100% this week, and Bettis has been playing well all year. I'll call it Pittsburgh 17, New England 13 -
Who still routinely watches Pro Wrestling
jimmy no nose replied to Vern Gagne's topic in General Chat
I don't watch very often anymore. I try to every now and then and end up getting bored and doing something else. -
I think 0-0-16 would actually be a .000 winning percentage so you would technically finish in last place.
-
Here in Pittsburgh the Steelers are about all the town has going for it. People are really into them, every game sells out every year.
-
I don't understand my team. The week of the important playoff game they have their worst game of the year, then this week in the losers bracket they have one of the best of the year. Hopefully they play more consistently through next year.
-
I've only seen the show one time and it was kind of funny, not something I'd watch a lot though. I remember when the show was first coming out they had one of the teams go on the Best Damn Sports Show Period and play against the cast of the show and the Best Damn people won. John Salley played the whole game with a cigar in his mouth too. That must suck.

Looks like there's a chance that all of the top 4 teams could lose to teams 5-8 this week. To prevent this Randy McMichael for Randy Orton has to put up 4.83 points.
-
Wow, I've already officially lost pretty much. My only hopes now are to not have the league low for points in a game.
-
I don't get the Philadelphia Dallas game here but I was looking at the thing on NFL.com and it said that Philadelphia decline an encroachment penalty on the play that put them at the 8 yard line. That shouldn't be able to happen since you cant decline encroachment since it is a dead ball the second it happens. Did the refs mess up the call or did it not actually happen?

I think it's too early to call with Roethlisberger and Manning, but I've never understood the Rivers pick. He uses a strange delivery that has never quite worked in the NFL but has been successful in college in the past. Yesterday in the Steelers Giants game Manning had a very Roethlisberger-esque game while Ben played more like Vinnie Testaverde did early in the season.
